Dark Secret is a story.

Toni Leevy is the new editor of the Weekly News, a small town newspaper in Tennessee.  A call comes over the police scanner about a murder and she goes to cover it.  It's a story about a boy who may have killed his parents.  Toni decides to print it.

Meanwhile Bucky, the local taxi driver recognizes Toni as the nine-year-old girl who was camping with her family near the cabin where his father died.  Everyone thought Bucky killed his abusive father, but Bucky was sure the girl did it.

The next day the sheriff is furious at Toni for printing the name of the boy, who turns out to be innocent of killing his parents.  He yells at her just as Bucky comes in the door of the newspaper office.

Toni laughs at Bucky when he says he remembers her.  She blows him off totally.

Crushed, Bucky starts sending letter after letter to the editor.  One day Toni's car breaks down outside of town and she needs a cab.  Bucky picks her up and forcibly takes her the old camp site where it happened.  Toni finally remembers and admits that she killed Bucky's father those many years ago.

The sheriff arrives and almost kills Bucky, but Toni defends him and they find peace at last.

It's been a long hard journey, but finally, at last Dark Secret is finished. A lot of gifted people put hard work into this production and I could never thank them enough. Don Coffey and Tim and Susan Lee are the greatest, most creative folks I've ever experienced and their artistic efforts turned a rough musical idea into a true work of art. And thanks to you Grace. I wish you would come back and join the band, but Chris is worth staying for. (Chris, I've got plans for you--the best keyboardist I know)

And Brack Owens man, thank you so much. It is a real honor to have you on my first CD.

Ted Thompson. I started this journey back to my heart after the first conversation I had with you. You inspired this effort. Thank you, my brother.
