Here it is! The special surprise! The first episode of "I Live With My Parents," a webseries we shot over the summer.

We tried to put up the 2nd episode on YouTube as well, but YouTube is giving us a hard time. We'll try to figure it out.

In the meantime, enjoy!

We have a special surprise planned for today. It's tied into our "Star Wars" marathon, which we're doing in the apartment today.

Stay tuned in the next couple of hours!

Hello everyone,

We've known you all for awhile now. You've been our support, our homebase, occasionally our extras, but most of all our friends. You helped us spread the word about "We Need Girlfriends" when it was a fledgling show still struggling to find an audience.

From the first episode...

To the last episode...

You've always been there for us and the support has been INCREDIBLE and APPRECIATED by every single person involved in the show. We've loved reading your emails and your MySpace messages and meeting you at various events. We've loved how you've all stuck with us through the long, laborious process of bring a pilot to television.

So, now we'd like to include you in our next big endeavor.

The boys from Astoria are moving... to Los Angeles.

By "boys" I mean myself, Brian and Angel. Seen here...

As well as "Tom" himself, Mr. Patrick Cohen...

Now, this won't be a simple move. We're not taking the ol' ship your stuff and fly to LA route. No No. In the first place, between the four of us we have over a thousand DVDs that need to be tenderly transported. In the second place, where's the fun in flying?

So, on October 21st, the four of us leave New York to make the long drive across country to Los Angeles.

And the best part of all? We're documenting the whole thing in our brand new blog...

Got that address?

Do yourself a favor, look at it again.

Now bookmark it.

Starting October 21st we're going to be updating this baby with all sorts of photos, videos and blogs about our journey across country. We ask that you keep our spirits alive by leaving your glorious comments!

And, if you live somewhere between New York and Los Angeles and happen to see a couple of jerks in your hometown that look like us, come on up and say hello.

Remember...

Hey everyone,

Ragtag friend Keith Powell (one of the stars of the upcoming "I Live With My Parents") has just posted the first episode of his new webseries "30 Rock's Keith Powell Directs A Play."

It is hi-lar-ious and it co-stars WNG's own Seth Kirschner. So, check it out, tell your friends to check it out and spread the word!

We've known about this news for a little awhile, but it is now official...

"We Need Girlfriends" Gets Showrunners

Tell us what you think below.
Monday, August 04, 2008

Last night, Patrick "Tom" Cohen, Evan "Rod" Bass and I (Steven Tsapelas) went to Joe's Pub in New York City to see Seth's comedy troupe "Quincy" perform, along with live music.

Patrick and I sat at a table for two, drank a couple of beers, ate the most underwhelming "mini-burgers" appetizer of all time and, more or less, were on a date. However, while the mini-burger underwhelmed us, the "We Need Girlfriends" fans overwhelmed us, and we were so happy to meet so many nice people that watch and enjoy the show. So, thank you to everyone who said hello.

Also, the live music we saw was just fantastic. We saw two bands, the first being Elizabeth and the Catapult and the second being The Spring Standards. We bought CDs afterwards and gushed about how amazing they were.

If you feel so inclined, please check them out here. You won't be disappointed.

Courtesy of one Evan Bass, here are some photos from the WNG Screening at the LIC Bar.

Note: Evan's neck tattoo is not real. It is fake. We were given Radeberger beer tattoos before the Q&A and Evan thought it would be a good idea to put it .. he spoke in front of people. This is why he is Rod.

Steven Tsapelas here. On Thursday night July 24th our new friend Gustavo hosted a "We Need Girlfriends" screening at the LIC Bar in Long Island City, sponsored by Radeberger beer.

While my WNG co-creators Brian and Angel couldn't make it (sister's wedding and Vegas vacation, respectively), we were joined by series cast members Seth Kirschner, Evan Bass and Steven Lachioma (Patrick Cohen couldn't make it) as well as by many of our dear friends and former WNG Crewmembers. In fact, there were some people that came that I hadn't seen in years! It was a great crowd.

Now, we never really had any public screenings for "We Need Girlfriends." Sure, we held premiere parties where we watched episodes with friends, but the closest we've ever had to a screening filled with non-friends was at the panel I took part in last month for The Media Project at the WGA in Los Angeles, where they showed "MySpace." (Which went over very well!)

But here, in Long Island City (Astoria), our homebase, we were treated to a fantastic event, organized by Gustavo, where we not only received free beer BUT had a chance to see all eleven episodes of "We Need Girlfriends" screened in front of a genuine crowd. The reactions were great. People laughed! A lot! It was really a special night for all of us.

After the screening, we did a brief Q&A, then we got to meet a lot of local "We Need Girlfriends" fans. We were taken aback when they asked us to sign their WNG items! We felt like bigwigs!

Really, honestly, truly, it was a great event and we can't thank Gustavo and Radeberger beer enough. We also want to thank each and every person that came out and showed their support for WNG.
