Hello out there!!
Here's what's going on... I recently had the honor of appearing at Japan's first ever drum festival
"the Rhythm and Drums Festival", alongside Terry Bozzio, Stanton Moore and many other wonderful players.
Rhythm and Drums Magazine had a nice 2 page review in this month's issue.

In B'z camp, there is a new live DVD called B'z Live-Gym Pleasure 2008 GLORY DAYS, just released and currently #1 in Japan.
The footage is from last years final show of the "Glory Days Anniversary" tour. This was a very special event, Live from Yokohama Stadium, commemorating 20 years of the bands existence. Truly a highlight of my career thus far.

Well, I've finally done a Drum instructional video entitled "Perfect Rock Drumming", so far the release is only in Japan but we're working on licencing for the rest of the world. I am very exited about this, as it is my 1st ever Drum video..  I think it will be a great learning tool for drummers out there looking to improve their sound, groove and style. What a great opportunity it is to give back a little something I've learned along the way! so far, you can pre-order it at: http://www.rittor-music.co.jp/hp/video/drums_data/08517219.html
I hope you will enjoy!

Plenty to do on the homefront: Cosmosquad is working on a new record, wish I had a date but soon....hey, Rome wasn't built in a day! We will let you know via the COSMOSQUAD website www.cosmosquad.com
and MySpace www.myspace.com/officialcosmosquad In the meantime, we'll be
gigging at the Baked Potato www.thebakedpotato.com/ on May 29th. Hope to see
you there!

Also, I've been working with my good friend Pat Lachman, on his new epic behemoth.... No words to describe? How about really, really, reeeeeaaaalllly F%#$kin' Heavy! And, no, we haven't buried DIESEL MACHINE
yet in case you are wondering. Much of the second album is recorded
musically but we're still missing a bunch of vocals.  AJ (Cavalier) is
actually moving back to L.A. so chances are we'll get it all done sooner
rather than later.

"GO-FLAMES-GO!!!!"
Thanks,
SG

November 27, 2007:

Hey all!

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. I just spent some R&R/family time back East after finishing up the first leg of the YOU ARE I AM tour opening up for Daughtry in the US. We are starting back up next month for another 10 days worth of dates (see tour dates below).

Lots to tell you about on the B'z and COSMOSQUAD front: B'z have just released their new single 'Super Love Song' (I play on the song 'Friction') and the upcoming full-length 'Action' is scheduled for December 5 release. This is the band's sixteenth full-length original album and the second part of the band's twenty year anniversary campaign!

To top things off, B'z were recently inducted into the Hollywood Rock Walk, the first Asian rock act to be so honored. Mainmen Inaba Koshi and Matsumoto Takahiro were on hand at the Guitar Center on Sunset Blvd. for the ceremony. Congrats, guys! I'll be back playing with B'z in 2008 for the 20-year anniversary tour which promises to be the biggest ever, with shows scheduled to run from January all the way into October! Can't wait!

Speaking of touring - I'm extremely happy to announce that we will be visiting Japan with COSMOSQUAD for the first time ever. We have several shows in the works for mid-March - stay tuned for exact dates and venues! Also, look for a COSMOSQUAD live DVD of our recent Musician's Institute show in early '08 - our bass player, Christopher Maloney, is editing the footage as we speak. Should be very cool!

If you haven't picked up a copy of our latest CD, 'Acid Test', yet - check out the teaser on my personal MySpace page or the band's MySpace. We also have shirts for sale and you can even get COSMOSQUAD ring tones for your cell phone now! Go to www.myspace.com/officialcosmosquad for all the info and links!

Hey guys n' gals:

Just letting you know that the new COSMOSQUAD CD, 'Acid Test', is available. Head on over to the Official C'squad MySpace for details on where and how to purchase your copy online.

Jeff (Kollman) and I co-produced this one at Crumb West Studios, my place in Simi Valley, CA between February and April.   I'm really stoked to have this new record out - it's been way too long!  It seems that everything came together very naturally and it was a lot of fun to collaborate with Jeff again. I think we take the listener on quite the journey throughout 'Acid Test.' Epic songs with lots of movement, heaviness, some greasiness, and an amazing ballad from Kollman that really sets him apart from other guitar players. The playing is certainly elevated a notch but we still retain the classic 'Squad vibe - the stuff that made us famous, ha ha!

The tracking listing reads as follows:

01. NuMena
02. The Spy Who Ate Her
03. Lubitorium
04. Bedbucket
05. Goathead
06. Hindenburg
07. The Long Walk Goodbye
08. Swink
09. Grossalicious

And, yes, our old 'Squad pal Barry (Sparks) is MIA on 'Acid Test.'  We tried our best to get Barry to put down some tracks but with him living out of town and being the road warrior that he is we just couldn't line it up scheduling-wise this time.  But, we'd been doing live gigs with a revolving cast of bass players anyway so once we started recording we spread the tunes around and everybody came through with some great playing. So it all worked out well in the end.

Here is who helped us out on 'Acid Test':

Kevin Chown - bass
Christopher Maloney - bass
Paul Shihadeh - bass
Ed Roth - keyboards
Jono Brown - keyboards

Hope ya dig it!
