4th September – Perth – Metro City
5th September – Sydney – The Loft (UTS)

Looking forward to seeing you all down there once again.

I've also recently uploaded tracks from my upcoming release on Lifted Music, including Kingdom, Kaori and Overdue - one more to go. A big thanks to Tasha Baxter who brought a vocal for Overdue which really completed the track and its story for me. Catalogue No. will be LFTD009, with the final track and supporting concept and artwork on show soon. Big thanks to everyone who's supported me over what has been an epic busy summer, once again I'm flattered and inspired to push on.

I've got some interesting collaborations in the works which I'm excited about, as well as upcoming management and agency information, hopefully more information on this in the near future.

A new range of Lifted Music shirts will also be available this week in stock...

I've been getting some mail about my reason for not attending Pirate Station this weekend (February 2nd) - so I thought an explanation would help.

As you may or may not know, I played our opening 2 Russian shows for the Lifted Tour the week previous to Pirate Station in Chelyabinsk and Omsk, Russia.

The Visa Processing Company was responsible for obtaining me a multiple-entry Russian Visa so I could attend both weekends.
I got a 6am taxi to London Heathrow in order to be in plenty of time for my 9.30am flight on Saturday, however after checking in I was informed by an official that my Visa was a single-entry, and thus wouldn't be valid for the trip (it's all written in Russian, I had no way of knowing).

After a lot of phonecalls I remained at London Heathrow all day while me and my agents co-operated with the Pirate Station promoters in order to try and find a solution. Unfortunately this couldn't be done, and I had to admit defeat to Russian border control...

I'm deeply sorry to anyone who attended the show to see me play; I was greatly looking foward to it - Russian crowds are always fantastic to play to and these parties are really something else, so I'm sure you can understand my huge disappointment.

I absolutely hate missing a gig, it's something that's only ever happened twice (my plane broke down in Romania once), this was completely beyond me and my agency's control.

Once again sorry, hopefully next time...

The Tour is all set...looking foward to seeing you all out there, for more info and venues, check the myspace listings. We're currently closing up bookings for my Australian/NZ Tour with Ewun - so info on that should be up shortly...

Just got back from a fantastic weekend in Hungary at the Szin festival (supporting Kosheen)- definately a humbling experience playing to such a hyped crowd, massive props to all the crew who brought me out.
Been lucky enough to play Hungary a few times (in previous times courtesy of Bladerunnaz), so it's always a pleasure to go back - wicked scene!

A few very random shots underneath, will probably get some more added soon...

As you might have seen, recent bookings brought myself and Chris Renegade out to Russia to bring them some Lifted Music vibes. After landing in Moscow we soon travelled to St. Petersburg by train, and then back again to Moscow after the gig was done. To our suprise Moscow is one of the worlds most expensive cities, and in our brief time there we managed to witness some police bribery, some insanely dangerous illegal taxi driving, and a variety of incredible architecture. Ah and maybe a bar or two...

Big thanks and shouts to everyone we met who looked after us, Implex, 3D, Brent (absinthe monster), Mike (booya..) and Art (way too cool). Also to the crazed biker gang who invited us into their secret room for vokda, a minikeg and some very strange interaction. Shouts to the only taxi driver in Russia that drove with a seatbelt on at the speed limit, and the bloke that let us all play his party after the greedy police crashed the moscow gig (Salt Lake City style)...

And so, I leave you with some photos, in vaguely chronological order...

Just to finish up, a couple of scans of sketchbook work I did on the planes/trains to pass the time...

So, it's been a lot of hard work and a long time coming, but Lifted has finally come together. Massive props to all the crew who've all worked so hard on getting things as sharp as they are, it's just beginning...

Bigs shouts to all the people who've been supporting the cause, within and outisde the scene before we've even launched also! We've had a huge reaction across the globe and it's been big big inspiration to push on.

So, exactly what is Lifted?

Have a read...

Exact release dates for vinyl and mp3 will be announced very soon, as well as merchandise...

In other news, I've been working on remixes for Evol Intent & Ewun (the mighty 8 Bit Bitch) and also a remix of Pendulum's 'Toxic Shock' for Freak recordings. 'Molehill' backed with 'Missing' (with Unknown Error) will be coming soon on Subtitles also, and then there's the forthcoming EP of my own on Lifted Music...

Once again, sorry to people who are waiting on replies - been preparing music for the tour and so been a bit tied up recently - will get to you all eventually.

Due to a recent visit from the all-powerful Annie (Anniex0r - arthappens.com) coinciding with her friends Strata recording their new album at the Sawmills studios, I got the chance to spend the weekend at this amazing place (often forgetting my shoes apparently).
Only accessible by boat, it sits next to a secluded area of water off the Foley river in Cornwall, and has been host to artists such as Muse, Oasis, The Verve and The Stone Roses. I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it, incredible location. You can find more info on the studio at www.sawmills.co.uk.

This was a unique experience from start to finish - epic massive thanks to Annie, all the Strata guys, and the production crew and hosts; Sam, Louie and Tom. The new Strata album was sounding hugely impressive also, so keep an eye on that one...

Back to my studio, then next week....Russia. Anyway - here's some photos from the excursion (taken by Annie/Ryan/me):

More of a short notice. I do still exist - apologies if I haven't managed to respond to a message as yet - I've been away alot recently as well as hiding away in the studio. Hopefully the efforts will start appearing soon, although I'm not going to go into too much detail about that just yet...

Powder Monkey
n. Slang.

- One who carries or sets explosives.

Thanks for all the comments concerning Powder Monkey, it's a privilege to be included on a Subtitles release, big shouts to Mr. Teebee there. Full release information will be available soon. Also watch out for a track remix for Subtitles in the near future..

Also on the cards is a Planet Mu release in conjunction with the ever lovely Mary Anne Hobbs. Was great to finally meet some Mu crew in Rome (even if the promoter lied to our faces) - shouts to Mr. Paradinas, Tim Exile and VS.

Also thanks to everyone who responded concerning vocals, I'm getting round to that. I'll have more in depth news about all future releases soon enough, there's alot of organisation going on at the moment, but it'll make sense shortly.
