Photo was taken on my mobile phone camera after a rainstorm a couple weeks ago.  And also, the sound of bagpipers, who had stormed up the street late afternoon yesterday with flags, drums & fifes.

And her album will also be airing Thursday, 9/24/09 between 7-9 PM on WTJU 91.1-FM's 'Eclectic Woman' radio show hosted by Blue O'Connell.  WTJU is the official college radio station for The University of Virginia and the program can be accessed online streaming at that time & date.

The title of the new track is Zuni language, inspired by time spent at the Smithsonian's American Indian museum in Washington, D.C. earlier this summer...

Sa-ni-a-kia is the invocation of the hunter.  The Zuni carve animal figures from stone, believing that its spirit resides there and the carving became a fetish once the hunter's arrow was paired with the carving with a prayer that the arrow would find its mark.
