Thank you to all those who came out last night for our benefit concert. Barbie's mother, father, brothers, sisters, and bandmates were all very touched that so many people came out to support and party in Barbie's memory. Barb's mother was particularly touched at seeing how many people showed up and all the memories (and friends) that Barb had during the slideshow.

Special thanks goes out to...
Sevilles
Diveplane
Ghostwitch
Infernal Doll Factory
Leslie and the staff at French Quarter
Oliver (for t-shirt design)
John Maycumber of 105.7
Amy of 107.9
Laura Capitano of the Florida Times-Union

and especially Dani who helped get the ball started on the first of 2 benefit shows.

Stay tuned, another benefit show is coming up June 28th at The Pit. The lineup includes Esther, Pilar, Christina Wagner, Coda, and possibly many more. Stay tuned and THANK YOU!

Ok, so this is all sudden. It is going to be here @ 9 a.m. this Saturday:
Neptune Baptist Church
407 3rd St.
Neptune Bch, FL 32266 It's next to a Bank of America.

We have to do it that early because the preacher is doing it for free and he is going out of town that day. We had to choose cremation for Barb because we do not have money for anything else. Unfortunately, there is not going to be a viewing because that adds on more money. She cannot be cremated until four days after, so the urn will not be at the church, we will have pictures of her up. I know this is,"poof" out of nowhere, so hopefully you can make it.

THank you for everything again,
Love you,
Kristina

PS - To donate funds for Barbie's cremation please visit Wachovia and donate to Perla Evans (mother) account. Need these funds by Friday!

I regret to inform everybody that our singer Barbara Matson, who has been in ICU for a week or so, has passed away this morning. Her birthday's coming in June... don't ask us how old she is... it's still a mystery to us.

She was making progress for awhile: moving her head, blinking, taking breaths in between the ventilator's but she wasn't doing too well last night.

RIP Barbara Matson -- you will be missed.

RIP Barbie

I am sorry to inform everyone this but, since May 6th, Barb has been in a coma. It sprung from hyperthyroid and right heart failure. IT's fucked up because she was a pretty healthy, active, and young person. If you guys can, we just need positive power sent her way in whatever form you do it in...Praying, incense, gods, goddesses, pan the pipe playing flute god, etc...She is struggling and we don't know if she will make it.

We have always and will always appreciate everyone for supporting us through the years. It's been fucking wonderful!

THANK YOU,
With much RESPECT,

Kristina

LATE NIGHT AT THE DARKENED ALLEY NEAR THE OCEANS,

THEY'RE ,WERE FIVE BEAUTIFUL WOLVES, HUNGRY & THIRSTY.

THEY'RE PASSIONS OF MELODY IN THE EYES YOU'LL SEE

THE GRIM OF THEIR SMILES AS SAD AS WOLVES

SHARPENED FANGS & THEIR TEARS OF JOY

A VAMP IN THE NIGHT,STILL AWAITS FOR A DRINK.

BLACK LEATHER, GOTH STOCKINGS,RED LIPSTIC LIQUIDS

TASTY BLOODY LIPSTICK LICKED DOWN

SEXUAL FACES OF THEIR DREAMS & MUSIC

BEAUTIFUL WOLVES,COLD TURNS TO HEAT ON THEIR SKIN

BLACK EYELINER DRIPPING DOWN THEIR FACES

FACES OF SONGS & STRONG FOR THEIR LOVED ONE'S

THAT WILL NEVER ,EVER LET ANYONE TAKE THAT AWAY FROM THEM

STANDING & WAITING FOR THAT HUNGER FROM ANOTHER

WOLVE 'S & HUMANS WHO ACCEPTED THEM FOR WHO THEY ARE

STRONG HEART,THAT WILL NEVER DIE

& THE WAY THEY'RE LIVING IN THE NIGHT OF  MELODY

DRINKING & SHARING,MUSIC IN THEIR BLOOD WITH OTHERS IN ETERNAL LIFE.

UNIQUE SOUNDS OF THEIR INSTRUMENTS

ALL OTHER ARTISTS HAVE JOINED THEM ,

SHARING THIER DREAMS & A LOVE FOR MELODY

ALL ROCKING LOUDLY UNDER THE NIGHT SKY

WATCH AS YOU SHINE INSIDE THE CROWD,

WASTING AND ENJOYING THEIR MUSIC

FOLLOW TWO STEPS BEHIND,

FOLLOWING THEM & LISTEN TO THE SOUNDS

WHILE YOU SLEEP, YOU DREAM,&

YOU'LL HEAR,YOU FEEL THE BEATING

YOUR HEART PUMPS

AS OTHER WOLVES WILL RISE

THE TIME TO MEET IS NEAR.

LIFE IS SHORT STILL TIME TO CHANGE,

WATCH THE SUN, BEGIN TO FADE,

NIGHT TIME COMES TO FULLMOON,

AS THE MUSIC COMES ALIVE

THEY ARE SO ALIVE,WAITING FOR YOU,
IN THE CASTLE.

LISTEN TO THEM...

I know it's been awhile, and I know people are asking, "When is Rubbing Down Debbie doing another show?" or "What have you ladies been up to lately?".

Well my friends and fellow music buddies, the answer is on the horizon. We are currently working on recording our new songs (almost enough for a full album's worth). The process is long and tedious, especially when all of us have jobs, family, friends, and a life. Almost 4/5 of the band will be out of town and/or out of the country in the next couple of weeks due to work-related trips or vacations.

We are also hoping to work on a new music video ("High Heels") as a follow up to "Out of Darkness", but again, it's hard to do a band video when most of the band won't be in Jax for awhile.

In the meantime, feel free to oggle at the ladies of RDD, leave a comment of love or two if the mood moves you. I have attached a fun image that I just edited here at work due to boredom and loneliness at the office.

Current mood:  exhausted
Category: Web, HTML, Tech

Ironic how I can spend an entire day in front of a computer designing websites...

...and end up coming home re-designing the myspace page & layout.

Myspace screwed up our profile counter... somehow while updating HTML scripts it cleared out our profile views. So I guess we're now a "new" band... yet somehow we have (to this date) 1,053 friends. Go figure

Bare with me, I'm trying to update the page and it's going to take some time because of several major factors:

1. my laptop doesn't have a whole lot of RAM (i.e. it goes a bit slower than those fancy-shmancy computers)
2. because my RAM is a bit sub-par, it's hard for me to run several programs at once
3. the particular font we now use for our band name is only available on an older version of photoshop which I have access to at work, but not here (I may end up downloading the font sometime down the road).
4. music myspace pages do NOT equal regular profile pages which causes problems with certain types of HTML script.
5. myspace does not allow flash. I could go into a tangent about how flash actually hurts your search engine numbers (i.e. flash doesn't always work with pulling up sites in google, yahoo, etc.) but that's for another time

I need a nap.... Bug

Current mood:  exhausted

To everyone that came... despite some technical difficulties towards the end (including Kristina having a hard time hearing stuff + a double bass pedal not working right, and me popping the bridge off the most important bass string ever) Things went pretty well. Pandaemonium rocked and so did Scum of the Earth... and everyone was just moshing.

Sorry about the confussion on the playing times... Southern Trouble took one look at the group of bands playing and decided it wouldn't work for them (they being southern rock and everyone else being more on the metal side). Which is understandable, but dang... we got moved up to 9:30.

Special thanks to all our photographers, videographers, fans, and our 1 special dancer. To answer your question, no that is NOT Debbie. That would be an old friend of mine who's danced for a lot of other bands too.

Next show(s):

-- St. Augustine September 15 at The Nest -- cover is about $3 for non-members and RDD is also looking for a few more bands to share the night with

-- Daytona September 19 (???) -- we're still waiting on information for this one & whether or not it'll happen.

Much love as always, Love Bug
