Hey everyone,

For those who don't know what music style I do or get confused with all the different styles, I want to get it all a bit more clear with this blogpost. Please reply if you have questions so I can get it all as clear as possible :)

For me, music / sound is not genre-oriented, but more sound/atmosphere-oriented.
I try to mix tracks from different backgrounds together to something new, or choose to bring alternate stuff through the speakers than expected.
For example, I like to mix gabber, breakcore, extreme metal, jazz and whatever together cause on my opinion each track (or even part of it) is not style-based but a sound part on his own.
Also I try to give the people a bit conciousness while they're coming to a party oriented on a kind of music style, while I try to let them hear some music from beyond the genre.

Also, I'm now looking for gigs in more different circuits to mix more records I normally can't do cause you can go far with mixing different genres, but there's always a point people will not get the point anymore.. you know what I mean?

I'm now looking for bookings in the following circuits / genres:

Dark Atmospheric / Industrial Breakcore
Rhythmic Industrial / Zhark to Industrial Hardcore
Soundscapes
Composed / Experimental Classical / Hedendaags
Free Jazz / Noise jazz
80's Industrial
Depressive Black Metal/Doom
Flashcore
Electro / Techno (Dark/Detroit)
Noise (electronic harshness)
Grindcore/Goregrind-metal
Early Hardcore (more of the 90's 180 bpm uptempo gabber style)
Terror (more of the 200+ bpm raw industrial core)
Psychedelic 60's (Pink Floyd, White Noise)
Early electronic music (Moog/Concrete)
New-weird (Harry Merry and stuff)
Darkhop / Neo-Dubstep (not the popular stuff)
..and everything between the above mentioned styles

If you have a booking for me, I can also help with getting more interesting dj's or live acts for the party you organise, or even help you putting a full line up together.

Rioteer __live (crack beats/NL)
RIOTEER has been working up quite a storm in the European breakcore scene with his blend of really heavy breakcore, speedcore and just plain weirdness. His roots lay in all kind of electronic music, a big blent of punk and African Percussive Music. For 4 years Rioteer played in Afrodisiac, a African Percussion group and uses these influences in his tracks. In the past he played at a lot of well known breakcore parties in the Netherlands and Abroad. For example Rioteer played at Breakcore gives me WOOD III in Ghent & the first Clash of the Titans party in Berlin. In the past Rioteer had his weekly radio show at radio raket Tilburg which unfortunately is off the air at the moment. Furthermore he is active in Tilburg as part of the Crackbeats events in Tilburg. Also top of that he released his first 12inch on the new Crackbeats records.

King Pin (not your monkey not your robot/NL)
Got over 13 years of experience and Kingpin always loved the rougher kinds of electronic dance music. Started organizing underground terror parties in 1998. After a short break, because the scene got fucked up by a wrong kind of audience, he found his true nature again in breakcore music. Because he saw the scene was very open minded and the atmosphere at the parties where just like the good old days, he started organizing breakcore parties. Kingpin, Bart Hard and Jorrit created the concept of "Not your monkey Not your Robot". From there on he performed at all the big breakcore events like "Wreck Havoc" and "Crackbeats". So be aware for his tight mixing, crossfader madness and mashed-up ragga breakcore sounds.

Bart Hard (not your monkey not your robot/NL)
Influenced by illegal stations and distorted frequencies from radio and television, Bart Hard started to cut cassettetapes to new music. In 1997 Bart got influenced by a musical genre known at that time as terror. It was not actually music, it was more to say the opposite of what music was. The noise and the harshness changed his ideas about what music really is.. The end of the millenium started Bart to make his journey through the (electronic) underground landscape. Here he found more and more influences from the past and present. Digital Hardcore and Noise were two of the most important discoveries to be mentioned, but also grindcore, the avant garde and '80's Industrial got his attention and sneaked in to his dj sets. In between he tried to organise some terror partys and in 2005 he became part of the Not Your Monkey Not Your Robot cru: with Jorrit, Bart and King Pin NYMNYR organises the breakcore events in Arnhem. In 2006 Bart Hard performed at partys like P.O.R.N., Tektron and Mayhem Outdoor, and organised some more obscure partys for fun. In 2007 he became one of the residents of Smackdown, organised by Element: Destruction, in Doornroosje, Nijmegen. Soon after, Bart Hard made his flights to England, Germany, Austria and Switserland to shock more people.. The noise that you hear activates your consciousness.

Distrojan (weiz)

The Shape Of Breakcore 2 Cum

On the 19th of september Breakcore shows a new direction in sounds. Otto von Schirach, Doormouse and Rioteer will give a new direction to the breakcore by the use of the MASE system, a surround system that give artists the opportunity to bring sounds through the room, using an 8 speaker system. The artists decide what sound goes in each direction.

Otto von Schirach

Otto von Schirach is known for his complicated ways of producing. He builds his own software and samples a diversity in music. During his performances he usually wears the weirdest outfits. check also his website http://www.ottovonschirach.com

Doormouse

Doormouse is the totally weird breakcore frontman and the main activist of the U.S. breakcore scene. In 1994 he started making distorted hardcore and beside other things he created the historic label Addict Records, what started in 1998. more about Doormouse can be found here: http://www.myspace.com/doormouse

Rioteer

Rioteer is working hard for the dutch breakcore scene. For over three years he organises his Crack Beats parties and the recordlabel carying the same name. Rioteer just finished a tour through Russia and the Baltic states and is currently working a new releases. Inspired by african percussion, Punk and 80's industrial noise, Rioteer makes refreshing breakcore that bounces the room apart. For this surround project Rioteer has decided to make a breakcore minded soundcape of sounds to bring all the possibilities of the surround system to it's best!

The MASE System

The world's first ever surround sound breakcore set by Otto von Schirach, Doormouse & Rioteer, using the M.A.S.E. interface with eight independent audio inputs and a library of sound movements. The artists have sample options for assigning a trajectory to an incoming audio signal and to start, stop or localise this. The artists can input the dimensions and shape of a room and the number of speakers which are to be controlled.
The room has a PA system opn 8 stacks in a circle diametre 11 metres, controlled by the artists.
Otto von Schirach, Doormouse and Rioteer are going to experience for a week long with this new system, and they will present a special breakcore set in this surround form on september 19th. The PA system has 8 stacks in a circle diametre 11 metres

Surround sounds history

In the 1950's the first ever surround project was created: "Le Corbusier was commissioned by Philips to present a pavilion at the 1958 World Fair and insisted (against the sponsors' resistance) on working with Varèse, who developed his Poème électronique for the venue, where it was heard by an estimated two million people. Using 400 speakers separated throughout a series of rooms, Varèse created a sound and space installation geared towards experiencing sound as you move through space. Received with mixed reviews, this piece challenged audience expectations and traditional means of composing, breathing life into electronic synthesis and presentation."

For september 19th we return to the idea of Edgard Varèse when Otto von Schirach, Doormouse and Rioteer will make a new experience in breakcore in the Hall Of Fame. In the week of 14 till 21 september the artists are gonna work with the MASE system in the Hall Of Fame, to make sure the friday night gig will be a great performance creating a highway to the breakcore future.

What do the artists expect from working with the system:

Otto von Schirach says: Cant wait to milk this. And run some madness in surround. I feel confidante that we have some days to prepare for the show.

Doormouse says: Speaking for myself, I expect to be able to use the system each day to ensure a fluid and quality performance.

Rioteer says: I thought about what to do with the M.a.S.E system as I pictured it in my head and the possibilities that surround sound has to offer. I'm thinking that the most interesting result can be acchieved when the M.A.S.E system is by taking it beyond the idea of a Dj tool and dance music in general. I'm aiming for a composition that doesn't rely on beats and is more a audio voyage that an instruction to dance. Therefore I thought of a theme to work this out. Since this project is a part of ZXZW's 'a the shape of breakcore to come' and aims for future inspiration within the Genre I thought of taking the earth Evolution and change as a theme. So this my personal story line. And I intended to work with sound that have a natural rather than an electronic origin.

hereunder we have some pics of the MASE system workshops, that were held during the classes of the Rock Academy:
