I had an old YouTube channel, and I used it for a few videos, but I didn’t take it seriously. Now that I have a serious channel that is promoting one of my life passions, writing, I have discovered a variety of things that have surprised and delighted me.
I have discovered a little circle of literary passionates: poets, knights of the spoken word, artists and such. I am delighted at how well I have slid into this YouTube sub-culture! But that’s not the best part. Being subscribed to all of these literary wizards, my daily "television" schedule is filled with art. And when I become surrounded by art, I become very inspired. Thoughts change into poetry, doodles change into art, conversations become well-crafted similies. I love this so much.
This sounds like a promo for YouTube or my channel on YouTube, but it’s not. I am just so grateful for the sense of being part of an artistic world even when I’m in my shoe-box residence room writing essays. So thank you: to those who I have connected with so far, and to those who I will connect with later.
