Current mood:  ninja

Hi. Welcome to my first post (besides lyrics) in a long while. I want to announce that my new website has launched, where you can gather news, events, and my blog, as well as listen to music, read lyrics, and download some of my music for free. My music uses the creative commons license, so feel free to distribute and use it as you like, as long as it’s not for something that’s sold. If you would like to use it for something that’s sold, I am always interested, so please contact me.

I am currently working on a concept album, about 7 songs in, writing-wise. Recording still needs to happen, and is in progress, but it’s a slow process while I try to figure out arrangements. I have access to a studio and producer, but part of me wants to do it all myself. I am a big fan of Jonathan Coulton and his DIY attitude that has garned critical acclaim and success. I would love to follow in his footsteps.

I hope you enjoy the website, find it useful, etc. Subscribe to my RSS Feed to keep current on events, or subscribe to my newsletter, the first one going out in late April. Thanks for looking :O)

How can I live

My throat is tight ’cause there’s no air to breathe…

And I’m at a loss for words and there’s no time to grieve.

I tell them that you’re leaving; they ask if I am going too…

I smile my smile, say ’well no, but I’d like to’.

Just because this distance is taking you away

Doesn’t mean that it’s over, doesn’t mean that everything’s okay.

You say we’ll stay in touch, well I could only hope for so much.

We’ll get back to going our separate ways.

If tomorrow comes and you say goodbye

I will mourn the loss of you every day till I die

’Cause how can I live, how can I live,

When you are my life?

My life, my life, my life….

I know not everything is black and white.

I just wanted something clear, not read between the lines.

I hope I can save myself this time, either push my love for you aside

Or try to find a way to bridge our great divide…

If tomorrow comes and you say goodbye

I will mourn the loss of you every day till I die

’Cause how can I live, how can I live,

When you are my life?

My life, my life, my life….

I don’t know what I’ll do; I don’t know who I’ll be without you…

I’ll need to sift through the us till I find me.

If tomorrow comes and you say goodbye

I will mourn the loss of you every day till I die

’Cause how can I live, how can I live,

When you are my life?

My life, my life, my life….

Reverses

How political the facets of us.

I am linear, you are liberal

Wanna be your ether

Pulled in to hover in lungs

Ohh, tongue in cheek in check

I revere silence as

Silence reverses.

How angular the argument

I am neither, you are divided.

Wanna be your breath, forced out, spent;

My connection to you solid…

Ohh, tongue in cheek in check

I revere silence as

Silence reverses.

How pointed the point of view looking at our duality

We mounted the crucible

May as well erase evolution…

How romantic we view the past when it was harsh reality

All you give and all you take

Might as well reverse absolution…

Ohh, tongue in cheek in check

I revere silence as

Silence reverses.

How analytical…
