Jeff may have broken a rib, Micah has some sort of deathly cold, I will probably be addicted to Mountain Dew for the rest of my life, and Alex is... well... even more Alex than usual.
Although the brothers Marburger weren't with us this time, we managed to get ourselves in as much trouble, pain, inebriation, and sleep depravation as possible.
Thank you to everyone who came out to shows, helped us out with gas money, and basically had a good time with us.
Major ups to:
Kelly & Chadwick in Decatur, and Mulligans, GA.- home of the hamdog. Don't know what a hamdog is? google it. but just for reference, check this out ->
and also home to the Luther burger (bacon cheeseburger with a Krispy Kreme glazed donut instead of bread) and the Elvis (fried peanut butter and banana sammich).
Ryan and the entire Reservoir crew in Chapel Hill, NC- who kept us drunk and well fed. Time Out for chicken? hells yeah
Jeff, Liza, the Pink Razors, Clint Maul, and the sassy crew of the Nanci Raygun in Richmond, VA.- Avail is completely on the money, Richmond feels like Gainesville. I didn't think people could actually drink more than Gville. Wrong. Richmonders really like their booze. I can't wait to see these guys again come fest time. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAHHH.
Tricia, John, Melissa, Mr. Kenneth G, and the bartender at Club 218 in Philly- People really like Jager in Philly, PA.- They really do. The bartender kept us fully smashed... and the Pat's/Gino's debate? I'll just say that I like Pat's better. And I think Alex likes Gino's better.
Jeremy, Mindy, Roy (also Pete and Natalia, but they left right after we got there), Metric Miles, and Mahogany in the Brookyyyyyn ZOO! The Woodser is definately the place to play in the zoo, a definate highlight of the entire trip. Also, this was the only non-gainesville show where the entire front row of people were ex (or current) gainesvillains. 352 represent, son. WHAT?!
Dan, the Peabody Institute Library, and everybody that enjoyed the show (or said that I had hair 'like the dude from Coheed and Cambria') in Danvers, MA.- First time I've played a library. A super fun show, at a super unsusual venue. Would've been cooler if we could have hung out, but we didn't really know anyone and we didn't know how to get ti this 'Cherry Hill' place.
Mike Taylor, Mike Stoltz, Arthur (I don't know his last name, but he plays in Tiny Hawks and I love his band), Lorna Doom, Chris and Shon, the band who's name is the image of an upside down cross, and all the tenants of Summer Camp in Providence, RI.- Our last show, and the first time either Alex or I have ever played Providence. Definately a town to go back and visit, everyone I met was super cool and genuinely nice. Plus I got to hang out with Art and Gus from Tiny Hawks, and I'm really kind of nerdy about bands I like.
Thank you all, can't wait to get back on the road. But for now, I gotta catch up with some sleep. Peace!
James
