There I was minding my own business when an unexpected call had me shooting off to interview a certain Mr Oderus Urungus, this was the 1st time I have ever had to interview an alien and hopefully the last. After stopping traffic walking down Charing X Road with a slave he basically shouted at me demanding whisky constantly and waving his rather impressive cuttlefish phallus in my face for the duration.

After recovering in a nearby bar myself, it was time to head off (Literally) to the nearby Mean Fiddler and brave the photo pit. To say I got covered in blood and all manner of bodily fluids would be an understatement and the results are recorded here for posterity.

Oddly enough it was comic relief day, speaking of charity any donations toward a new camera greatly appreciated, this ones somewhat shagged.

One hefty night of metal at The Underworld yesterday. Quite honestly all 4 bands deserved headliner status and all 4 literally conquered. Review of event to follow at www.metalteamuk.net

It's been a while since I did the Gothic shuffle at the Slimelight and can only thank my real MySpace friends for dragging my drunken carcass back to a cosy sofa in the early hours. Before this there was a red hot and bloody good gig with Theatres Des Vampires headlining and I think the photos speak for themselves here. However I wouldn't be surprised if a few of them disappear for breaking guidelines but as I really hate censorship I am going to take a chance and post them.

If you like Theatres Des Vampires keep an eye on the newly revamped (yeah bite me i know that wordplay sucks) premier UK Metal Webzine http://www.metalteamuk.net
where there will be a live review as well as new CD, DVD and interview with the vampires appearing in the future.

All photos are strictly copyright to Pete Woods, anyone using without permission will be tracked down and staked through the heart!

Well this tour certainly caused a buzz due to the fact that lead singer of Deicide Glen Benton had not made it to the gigs. Why his so vitally important remains were absent is open to speculation but at least the band played on and didn't let the no show wreck things. Some were describing events as a Deicide Karaoke but all guest vocalists did a sterling job and were in order; Garbarty Yaha (Dissenter), Jason Peppiatt (Psycroptic), Martin Pedersen (Visceral Bleeding) and Solomon J Lucifer Christ (Ted Maul).

All photos copyright Pete Woods if used without permission you will be found and a cross will be branded on your forhead and I don't mean an inverted one!!!

or perhaps In The Nightside Eclipse. A pretty self explanatory gallery of rather impressive sunsets taken in Tenerife last week. The bad news is I left the sun there.

A riotous time was had by all at The Islington Academy on  25th November 2006 when Conflict played a gig thanking everyone who had contributed to original drummer Paco's recent operation. Needless to say the place was rammed and the supports were rather special too.

A review will follow on www.metalteamuk.net

Would love there to have been some more Napalm Death photos but they are one of the hardest bands to shoot. Barney is never still for a second and there is only a short time you can stand at the front with your balls crushed against the stage and bodies flying over your head in both directions.
I haven't uploaded any of Mendeed who were on the bill, it would be hypocritical as I thought they were complete toss.
A review of the gig will be featured on

This weekend I have mostly been drinking to German metal! Friday night saw the lovely Doro Pesch at The Underworld giving us a good rock work out and Sunday saw Tankard bringing their beer swilling brew of old school thrash to the same venue. Here are some photos from the shows.

A plague of death swept through London town this weekend, leaving devastation in it's wake. Well it certainly did in the Gents toilets in The Underworld on Friday at Vader's show. We have been saying they needed knocking down for a while but...
Saturday saw the Masters Of Death tour at The Islington Academy featuring the Swedish old school clans on a merauding mission. Unfortunately my photo pass was AWOL hence only a few not so good shots of the first bands before I managed to blag one for Entombed.
A review of this show will appear on
www.metalteamuk.net soon and so will some shots from the Vader gig on the homepage of the UK's most dedicated gig promoters
