hey there folks hope this finds ya well. it's official, the new album is underway. we got to head into the studio last weekend to put down a few songs, and we are heading back this weekend also. very exciting, and it sounds great so far.
We are also playing a great show coming up here on February 5th at the Oriental Theater. we haven't played here in a while, but for those of you who remember, they were awesome shows. we are very excited to play with JD Feighner and Carbon Choir. we also would like to help some of our Boulder fans in getting down to Denver. it there is enough interest we would like to get a bus or van to transport ya'll. please let us know in the next few days if you'd like to do this.

howdy ya'll, eric here. we're hanging out at the stable in st. louis. this blog finds us well. we've been out only a few days, but chris and i have kicked our colds we had the first few days. thanks to uncle george for letting us stay at his pad here. always a good time of late night guitar playing. the famous bar shows went great. a little slower than last year it seemed, but that economy, boy i tell ya. hope it's not hitting any of you too hard. almost show time, but we're heading to NY tomorrow and am excited to hang out with friends and family for the holidays. if you have any fun questions about or for us, i'll be here and happy to answer them for your bank of useless knowledge!

KTCL would like you to sign up to take their music surveys. Twice a year they include ALL local music (once to see who plays Big Gig, and the other for Hometown For The Holidays). The rest of the time it's mostly national acts (Linkin Park, Rise Against, Incubus etc.) with some local artists thrown in to see if you think they're ready for the big-time. These surveys have gotten a lot of bands signed including The Fray, The Flobots, Tickle Me Pink, Meese, Single File and more! Here's what you do. Click this: http://ratethemusic.com/signup.cgi/ktcl, sign up, and when we send a survey to your mailbox fill out the survey. Tell us what you like, ( Meniskus!) what you hate, and what you're sick of. The more honestly you answer the better we sound to you. Listen to the top 10 local bands that make the survey on the air between December 11th and 17th on Channel 93.3, and no matter who the top 3 artists are plan to come see them live at Andrews on Lincoln December 19th where we'll announce who wins, and award a Live-Prize of $1,000 to the best performance of the night (determined by crowd noise)! Thanks for supporting local music and good taste! Viva Colorado!

First off, we expect to see you tomorrow night (10/24) at Owsley's in Denver, and preferably Saturday as well at the Waterloo in Louisville. Now that we've gotten that out of the way: Trick or Vote 2008, Halloween Night, with 3OH!3 at the Gothic Theatre & Meniskus w/ Soundrabbit at the Falcon Trick or Vote is a nationwide nonpartisan costume canvass taking place on Halloween. A spooky crew of monsters will be out in full force to remind folks to vote, and you can be spooky too. Studies show that the most effective way to get people to vote before an election is to knock on their doors and encourage them to. And what's the one day when we're all culturally ready for a knock on the door? Halloween! Just 5 days before the General Election. So while you might be too old to trick or treat, you're never too old to Trick or Vote! We need canvass volunteers! Sign up now at TrickorVote.org Volunteers receive free tickets to the Trick or Vote Party: 3OH!3, Meniskus w/ SoundRabbit, bowling, drinks and food! The Friday night show with The Ian McFeron Band has been moved from Quixotes to Owsley's Golden Road: 2151 Lawrence St, Denver, CO 80205 Sorry for the last minute change, but this venue will be a far better fit for the raucous crowd and dancing that will make this show go down in history!
And if you can't make it Friday night, we'll see you Saturday at The Waterloo Icehouse on Main St in Louisville. Full Schedule at: www.meniskusband.com
