Yo Ladies & Gents,

So we hope this update finds you well and you are gearing yourselves up nicely for the silly season!!??

Its been a very busy time for us of late, every weekend being locked away in our rehearsal space writing, writing, writing!!!! And we now find ourselves in the great position to be able to start demoing the new album. Nice! This is gonna continue over the next month and we should have a wee few snippets before Christmas to whack up on the player (to wet your whistle.....so to speak!). We are hoping to start recording the beast for real in early 2010.

We want to thank you all for your patience and we promise you that this record will be very special.

More updates as we have them and big love to you all.

Hi Ladies & Gents,

It is with huge grins that we can announce that our 6 year anniversary show, at The Bull & Gate on the 29th September, is SOLD OUT!
Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts and we promise to make it a night to remember! Cheers one and all!!!! X

So now we can announce a few details about the night.....

Firstly, as you all know, our bass player, Mr Naoto Hori, has just under gone major surgery for a problem with his back. Now while he is ok and walking we all feel that the lenghthy set we are gonna play will be detrimental to his recovery. So as a band we have decided that he will play the majority of the set but that we will have a guest bassist to do the rest. We know you as fans will understand this decision. After all, we don't want poor ol' Naoto san to fuck his back beyond all repair!! So we are pleased to say that our good friend, Mr Jesse Quin, will be filling in for a part of the set. This will give Naoto the perfect rest and he can have himself a nice cup of tea.

So this brings us to the supports. We are delighted to announce that the wonderful Fightstar we our very special guests. They will be thrashing your ear drums with a magic acoustic set! Very nice and we can't wait!

First on are the wonderful Nixa. Please check em' out and have a listen! Its a pleasure to play with these boys so brace yourselves! Go see...www.myspace.com/nixaspace

Ok thats it for now. Once again, thank you. It means so much to us and as a thank you for buying a ticket we are gonna give ya a little freebee! But details of that are to follow in the next few days, so keep ya eye on our page..........he he!!!!!

Big love,

Team BrigadeX

Ladies & Gents of Myspace,

We hope this blog finds you well and you are all in fine fettle over these summer months!

So we are delighted to announce that we will doing doing a one off 6 year anniversary show at The Bull & Gate in London on 29th September! Yes it will be 6 years to the day of the first ever Brigade gig at the very same venue and we can't quite believe it ourselves! Where has the time gone?

It will be a very very special night for us and we hope to see many faces, new and old, to come celebrate with us. There will be a few suprises and many drinkies we are sure so please come down and join in. Here is the all important ticket link for you:

http://www.musicglue.com/brigade
On the night there will be 2 supports and we would really like you guys to have some input on the set list. So why not comment on this blog with your choice of songs you would like to see us play. Simple!
Thank you for all your comments about wanting to see us out on the road this year but the way things are going it looks like this will be our only date for a while as we are in full swing with writing album 3! Dont miss out people! We promise you a night to remember!
So that brings us nicely onto how our bass player, Mr Naoto Hori, is getting on. Well he has been operated on and it was a total success!!! We are so so pleased and we are expecting the boy home and the end of August/ beginning September. It has been very hard for him but we knew he would overcome this little hitch with flying colours! 3 cheers for Naoto san! And just for your viewing pleasure here is a photo of him causing havoc for the hospital staff............

This really is great news people and we wish him a speedy recovery!

So the new album is coming along very well. We now have 11 songs and once Naoto is home we will be demoing and doing pre production just to make them sound even better and pretty round the edges! You will almost certainly hear new tunes at the Bull & Gate so we hope you will look forward to that. More news as we have it and grab them tickets people!

Stay safe & big love,

ps. any questions you have please send them in a message rather than a comment. Cheers!

Greetings Ladies & Gents,

We hope this blog finds you well and that you are all protecting yourself against this lovely lovely sun!! Get ya factor 50 out!

So first of all abit of bad news. Our bass player, Mr Naoto Hori, has fucked his back! The poor boy, after months of doing removal work, is now on crutches and is finding it increasingly difficult to walk. So he got himself off to see doctors and the like at our wonderful NHS and they put him on a massive waiting list to have an operation. That said the wait was gonna be way too long so he is now over in Japan having it done as we speak. He will be out of action for a month or so but at least he will be fixed and ready to rock on his return.....and in very little time too! So we send our love to him for a speedy and happy recovery! We will keep you posted on how he is getting on and may even include some photos if ya lucky!!!

So what have the rest of us been doing while this is all going on i hear you ask...well we have been busy bees continuing to write our 3rd album and i can tell you right here, right now people.....its gonna be a belter! We have had a frustrating time over the last year, what with Wills voice and that, so we have channeled our frustrations into this brand new batch of tunes. I am very proud of us coming through these dark days and i think you will  find that this new album is gonna be our best yet! We want to thank each and everyone of you for your patience, understanding and loyalty to this band. It means soooo much! We have completed 9 tracks thus far. Bear in mind that some of these are working titles which we have no intention of keeping:

1. Tiny Pieces
2. Eden
3. There At Last
4. Adieu
5. Coat in Bruise
6. 200 Scratches
7. It's a mess if it ain't it'll do till a mess gets here
8. SOHK
9. New Year

We are looking to demo the whole lot, and more, very soon with the view of recording the beast properly towards the end of the year. More news on that as we have it! Also as soon as we have something to play you we shall bung some snippets on the myspace player for your listening pleasure. MMMmmmm!

Lastly, we have been able to get our mits on some old stock from our first record "Lights". These bits include the album itself and all the singles (7" records and cds).
Andrew has started selling them on ebay so if you are missing some of these items from your Brigade collection then please have a look.

Right so thats my rant over. I just wanted you all to know that we are not dead and are still very much alive and kicking and cant wait to start with a new record, a new singer's voice and a new bass player's back!

Once again thank you for your patience and big love to you all.

Hi everyone.

After being a great and reliable mode of transport, and having taken us on quite a few tours of the British Iles, we've decided to put our cherished splitter van up for sale. In the hope that another band can take it under their wing and have as many great times in it that we have!
We feel its time to get a shiny new van....
The van is a long wheel base Ford Transit (Diesel) 15 seater mini bus. Which has been converted into a 9 seater splitter van with tinted windows and storage space for lots of instruments and other equipment. It also has a mounted t.v ready to take a playstation, x box etc or dvd player.

So, anyone/bands who are interested please email us and we can discuss the finer details etc
