I just put up a new song for everyone! Bossa Nova..7 is the title.

I think its really quite good, it features the beloved 70's wasp family living room staple, the Baldwin Fun Machine. Give it a listen, its part inside joke (I wasn't in on it), part happy feet, and one tiny part bob dylan for no reason. I bet you wont even be able to tell how drunk i am on this recording.

The night split heads of the young, apparently.

Last night we finished the record.

Marc and I tracked the rhythm section on the last song, "bossa nova #7" in Mike's Concavity studio. It was quite a cathartic experience. This behemoth has taken almost a year, about ten thousand beers, and at least three hundred songs to actually complete. We all have doubted at one time or another whether we could actually get to this point, and now that we have, it seems surreal.

Lets all take a deep breath and reflect on this momentous occasion.

okay.

So technically it is not done. This is true -- it still has to be mastered and pressed and all that other shit. We are probably at least a month or two away from something tangible, but we can say that it is closer to being released than it ever has been. whatever that means. There are 11 songs. I play on most of them. Track list coming soon.

Anyway, just thought you might want to bask in my reflected glory. Thanks to everyone who still remembers us, we appreciate your patient vigilance in this long journey. Someday soon we will all kick back, busch light in hand, and enjoy 'belgrave to king's circle'.

unless the name changes.

a passengers guide to getting by

I put up a new song today for your listening pleasure. It is off the upcoming full length 'Belgrave to King's Circle' which will be out sometime in the next two months (even I don't know yet). So listen up for that.

A new song from the record will be posted every once in a while until the record is released. The record will consist of some old favorites, but also quite a few new gems that you surely will love. I think its pretty good.

We are finally getting back into the swing of playing shows. Have you missed me as much as I have you? It has been nearly a year hiatus, and now, slowly but surely we are playing out again. In true rock star form I have a few new drug addictions and social diseases to fuel the fire... I am pretty sure that we are not planning on breaking up again any time soon, so check your local listings and come see us some time. Next one on the books is Aug 19 at Emo's austin. The wheel in the sky keeps on turning.

love,

kevin.
