The show at the General Clinton Pub with Diazepam in Oneonta is now on Friday, December 11. Sorry for any confusion this has caused.
We are looking for a show to play on Saturday, December 12, preferably somewhere in upstate NY. If you have any helpful information, please contact us! Thanks!

I know, I know...some of you are shaking your heads in disgust, some are jumping up and down with excitement, and some of you are scratching your heads and saying "follow Forwho on whatter?" It's called Twitter, and our page can be found here. For those of you who have only a slight idea of what Twitter is (or for those who have no idea whatsoever), check out this video that explains it in very simple English. Yes, we'll admit, we once thought it sounded ridiculous. But we've done some exploring, and we realized it's a cool way to keep you updated on a consistent basis. We have a lot of things going on behind the scenes, be it videos, new songs, t-shirt or other promo ideas, and we'd like to be able to hear from you, too. So check it out. You might learn something. Our username is ffoorrmmaann. See you there. Also, thank you to the proud, wildly dressed citizens of Nyack who rage with us on Halloween. It was a blast. We were one big happy Forman family. Some video updates are coming soon, as well as new show announcements. Stay tuned!

Current mood:moody
Even though we previously reached our lifetime goal of hitting 20,595 plays, we decided to keep being a band to give the youth of America a brighter future! You cute little rascals! So it's no big deal or anything, I don't know if you noticed, but yeah, we totally now have over 21,003 plays. Here's a video completely unrelated to MySpace or the amount of plays we have, but it's still sweet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epwmq-n55Lo or just watch this:
There's another recent improvisation in there, as well as some glimpses of Bill and Rich's new 250,000 square foot mansion (complete with swimming pool, tennis courts, and British butler). For those who remember the good ol' days (it was only 4 months ago!! stop smoking the drugs!!) when we used to play Oneonta, you'll be glad (or murderously angry) to know we'll be playing a show at our old stomping ground the General Clinton Pub in Oneonta, NY. This is happening on Saturday, December 12 and we just so happen to be playing with our good friends, and one of Rich's other bands, Diazepam! If you haven't heard them, they're progressive rock/fusion/hip hop/so on and so forth. Check it out. We can't announce any details yet, but we do have some shows in the works for early fall in lower NY, so be sure to check back often and we'll update you ASAP! Most of you are most likely already on Facebook, so if you are and you didn't know, we have a Facebook page! It's a good resource to stay aware of our upcoming gigs, and we'll be putting exclusive clips of new material on there soon. Check it out and become a fan. We recommend you sign up for our mailing list. Just send an e-mail to FORMANBAND@YAHOO.COM with "add to mailing list" (or anything approximating that) in the subject. We promise we won't flood your inbox with junk mail or obnoxious forwards (however, if you forward our emails to 10 people, you'll find 20 dollars on the street, and if you forward them to 20 people you'll win the lottery, and if you forward them to 30 people you'll be inexplicably elected the prime minister of Canada). Really, though, we'll send out occasional updates about shows, the new songs, and other important Forman-related matters. One final note: We're all members of a website called last.fm, and Forman has a profile there as well. It has a lot of cool features on it, but the one we use most frequently and recommend you check out is something called the Scrobbler. You install it on your computer, and it automatically updates your last.fm profile with what you’ve been listening to on your computer or iPod. The more Last.fm learns what you like, the better it gets. You can get recommendations for music, videos, free MP3s, concert listings, and a seriously huge number of other cool things, all based on what you listen to. If you want, it also includes free, non-stop, no-advertisement, personalized radio based on your own profile. It seriously is awesome, and of course, the more you listen to Forman after installing the Scrobbler, the more helpful it is to us! If you're interested in checking out the Scrobbler, go here.

We did it! Since we started this band, it has been our dream to reach 20,595 plays on Myspace. In celebration of this much-anticipated achievement, look at Forman's naked son: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGhj23E_K0sThere's a recent jam in there, and some stuff. We'll be playing a show soon, at which we'll revel in the filth of our golden age, and bask in the radiant plutonium that is our new work (that means old and new songs). Anyway, enjoy, and stay tuned as always!

many details to come. for now, the essentials: it's a 3-day music festival, with over 25 bands raging all day and night. we play at 8 pm on friday, may 1. it costs $20 for the whole weekend. details on how to pick up the bracelets/passes will be posted here soon, but for now contact us and we'll direct you. we've admittedly missed the stage, and we're ridiculously excited to play again after so long. we'll be playing a lot of brand new material. we've been writing in a much more dynamic and detail-oriented way than we used to, and it's a great challenge for us. we've also taken some old songs and found the true essence of them (please excuse the NewAgery). we hope to see lots of new and familiar faces at Headyfest. It's the 5th one and each one keeps getting better and better. The people who run it have a true love for music and the arts and have worked very hard for the past few years to make the most amazing, fun, safe, comfortable environment possible, and they all truly deserve a big THANK YOU from us and everyone else!! Side note: Another of Rich's bands is performing Friday night at Headyfest as well. They're called Diazepam (will open in a new window) and they're playing at 12:30 AM.

Hey everybody. www.formanband.com has been given a facelift... yeah, that's right, we're goin Philip Glass, Frank Stella minimalist style on your asses.. Deal with it! Seriously, though, much interesting progress is being made in our songwriting. We hope you're all willing to follow us down this new route. Don't be scared, we're not pulling a "one day we're Michael Jackson, the next we're Metallica" move or anything; it all still sounds like Forman. It's just.....different. I don't know! Just listen!
P.S. There's a preview hidden somewhere...yes, somewhere...vague enough for you?...good luck finding it.

The song "Debasement in the Basement" has been added to the music player. It's track 1 from our debut album "Balance," which is available for sale from our website, Amazon, CDbaby, iTunes, Rhapsody, and a bunch of other music retailers. But you know all that already, don't you? Here's something you don't know! We have been writing songs for our next album, to be released at some point within the next 100 years. We're really excited about the new material so far; it sounds a lot different than what you've come to expect from us. We're glad to be taking some time off from shows to concentrate on writing. As most of you know we've been weekend warriors for a couple years now, and although we love playing live it can get a bit frustrating playing the same songs over and over, just as I'm sure it can be frustrating HEARING us playing the same songs over and over. Our style has evolved already in the past month or so, and I'm really really excited to find out where the hell we're going! Stay tuned and take a good gander around our website and myspace. You might find some hidden goodies and/or previews. Anyway, thanks for your constant support. We really do appreciate it. We'll be back soon, we promise.
