This is a video of my older boys when they were babies. They are only ten months apart. I thought it was pretty funny what Bradley did in the video. They started playing rough young lol.

This is a really sad, but true video. It really breaks my heart. I rescued a Black lab from a GA shelter in 2003, his name was Cole, and he went into Foster care & was adopted! There are so many that need help. The dog in this video at around 0:39 really looks like my Pebbles.

Just a heads up to anyone who hasn't heard of this. I got this computer virus called XP Antivirus 2008 on my computer and it really sucks. It's sort of fixed now $85 later.. But now in my control panel I can no longer access my computers background image or screen saver. They are missing. I'm pretty ticked off about it..

This was emailed to my hubby & me.. I liked it. Shows ya what type of president he'll be. I hope the hell he doesn't get in there.

Idiot Quote of the Century...

'My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world.  I hope you'll join with me  as we try to change it.'

Maybe this video will make people think before they breed their pet, or are too careless to have their pet spayed or neutered. All these poor innocent animals never made it out of the shelter. So So sad.

Current mood:  disgusted

I do not watch horse racing, and don't think the sport is right. But my husband does watch it, and called to tell me about Eight Belles and what happened to her during the Kentucky Derby. I am posting what PETA wrote below. I hope one day they do ban horse racing or at least make it safer. It's all about the money and I don't think they give a damn about the horses. It's so sad.

"Eight Belles" Should Sound the End of Racetrack Betting

Just after crossing the finish line in the Kentucky Derby on May 3, 2008, a young filly named Eight Belles collapsed when both of her front ankles snapped. She was euthanized in the dirt where she lay, the latest victim of the dirty business of thoroughbred racing.

Eight Belles' death is yet another reminder that these horses are raced when they are so young that their bones have not properly formed, and they are often raced on surfaces that are too hard for their bones—like the hard track at Churchill Downs. Eight Belles' jockey whipped her mercilessly as she came down the final stretch. This is no great surprise, since trainers, owners, and jockeys are all driven by the desire to make money, leaving the horses to suffer terribly.

PETA is calling on the racing industry to suspend the jockey and trainer, to bar the owner from racing at the track, and, at the very least, to stop using young horses who are so susceptible to these types of horrific injuries. We're also demanding that the industry stop racing horses on hard tracks and switch to softer, synthetic surfaces, which would spare horses' bones and joints, in addition to calling for a permanent ban on the use of whips. Help PETA call for an end to cruelty masquerading as sport by using the form below to take action today.

Although Eight Belles' death, like Barbaro's before hers, made headlines, countless lesser-known horses suffer similar fates—their broken legs and battered bodies are simply hidden from public view. Most racehorses end up broken down or cast off or are sent to Europe for slaughter.

Current mood:  worried

Right now I just cant stop worrying about my baby. We were told when Dustin was about 1 week old that he had a heart murmur. Our family Dr. told us it was probably just something that a lot of newborns have, and then it goes away.
We were sent to have an Echo cardiogram of Dustin's heart and the techs there told us we would only hear news if it was bad news. So days, then a week pass with out hearing anything. Finally our Dr called and said they hadn't even received the report about Dustin's Echo results. WTF!! I was so mad. Then once the Doctors office did receive them we were told that a valve in his heart hadn't closed like it was supposed to, but we were told this was something a lot of newborns have.

Our family Dr. then referred us to a specialist in Hershey, PA to talk to us and keep tabs on Dustin's heart. Well, our appointment was on Friday April 25th with the specialist and it wasn't the news I was expecting to hear. Dustin did not have a open valve or a common problem most newborns have, he has a hole in his heart. This was the 1st  time Brad & I were hearing of this and we were pretty upset. I would have thought our family dr. would have mentioned that bit of information to us. The dr. then wanted to have another echo done of Dustin's heart to see how big this hole is.

Dustin was such an angel and slept thru the entire Echo. Bradley & Parker were impatient, but they got to watch Elmo as they waited with daddy. It was a long day.

After the echo the Dr. gave us a picture of what Dustin's heart should look like, and what Dustin's heart really looks like. Dustin has a medium size hole in his heart, and the right side of his heart is enlarged where the blood flow is being let in from this hole. This all sounded horrible to me, and I was sooo upset. But the Dr. told us he should be fine and just needs to be monitored. If we are lucky the hole will get smaller, and he may never need any surgery or medication. If not when he is older he may need surgery to close this hole. Right now I just don't know what to do, and I just keep worrying about it. The Dr. told us not to worry, but it's easier said then done.

Current mood:  sad
I found this poem and had to post it on here for my brother James who is in Iraq.

MY BROTHER- A U.S. ARMY SOLDIER
My brother, a U.S. Army soldier...in Iraq is where he is.
My brother, fighting for his country and some pride, while my mother, who loves him so much..all she does is cry.
I've been thinking about him lately, waiting for him so patiently.
He's so far away, I hope he knew..."Angel, we do nothing but miss you."
Faith and strength he will need, and that I know he has indeed.
Fighting for what he stands for, I just can't stand it anymore.
I can't stand the fact that he could get hurt, but I believe he's a smart soldier and he becomes alert.
I hope that with this poem he knows how I feel, and that I will always pray for him as I kneel.
He's the only brother that I have; when I think about all the good times I just laugh.
A U.S. Army soldier who we think about daily, and who we depend on to come home safely.
