TORI FIXX SET TO CELEBRATE NEW RELEASE IN L.A

(Los Angeles) - October 13, 2008 - DJ by night, hip hop artist/producer by day, Tori Fixx is celebrating his latest release, a double-CD called "Couture CR-2" with a bash in Los Angeles featuring special guest performances from Tim'm West (a founding member of seminal homohop act Deep Dickollective), Deadlee, Foxxjazell, and Last Offence at MJ's Bar in Silverlake on Sunday, November 9, 2008.

The Minneapolis based Recording Artist, Producer, DJ; Vocalist & Emcee has been heralded as the "most ready for prime time" by music critic Ernest Hardy (Vibe, Rolling Stone) in a summer 2007 article on the genre in the nationwide publication, The Advocate.

Tori Fixx was one of the original founding members of the San Francisco Bay Area based queer rap group, RAINBOW FLAVA back in 1998. He has released a number of solo albums over the last decade including "Marry Me" which was nominated for a 2004 Outmusic Award for Outstanding New Recording - Male.

Last year, Fixx (aka T-Fixx and DJ Naughty Boy) released a preliminary version of his most recent work and called it "CODE RED" to coordinate with the launch of the very well publicized HomoRevolution Tour, of which Fixx was one of the headliners. His participation in the tour earned him interviews in the MTV/LOGO sponsored AfterElton.com website as well as featured in Out Magazine and the Minnesota Daily News. He has appeared on The Tyra Banks Show, and CNN's Paula Zahn Now show.

The rushed treatment of "Code Red" caused Fixx to work on his vision of the completed CD, which he named "Couture CR-2". Fixx said:

"I felt that Code Red wasn't all it could've been but I needed a new record out when we did the Tyra Banks Show, CNN and the Homo Rev Tour. Still the album just didn't feel finished so I began working on remixes after the tour ended and of course working with other artists inspires me as well as various events and people in my life. The next thing I know, I have a bunch of new tracks and some hot re-creations of some from the first Code Red CD. It's looking like this is going to be a double CD. This'll be my "Life After Death" (Biggy) meets "Sign Of the Times" (Prince) record," he explained.

"Couture is me at the top of my game. This much I promise. I've got a few hot duets and guest stars on this record. I've got dance tracks and ballads and I mean actual ballads. I've got the politics, the sex, and the gayness. It's all there."
