Current mood:  content
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

So I decided to go see "I want to believe" at 12:01 AM on Thursday's premier. It was a special occasion, I usually wait for the DVD to come out for many reasons. This time I decided to go to the movies because I am an X-Files fan for many years and I own all the movies and the nine seasons plus a signed script of one of the episodes and even a bunch of comic magazines of the X files.

I built so much in my mind and all the hype on TV, I expected way much more and perhaps some answers to things left open in the previous 9 seasons... It was a little disappointing movie all around, I would rate it about 2.5 stars out of 5.

It had way too many fillers, bordering on boring at times, Scully was absolutely herself with the "So what you are saying is..." recaps, still needs 27 forms of proof to "get it". Mulder looked bored to death with the whole thing and had the attitude of "I did not want to be in this movie" seems someone forced him.

It was lacking in just about everything, however in some way it was entertaining as well, some fast pacing action, some too slow, with old fashion CGI and stunts. Some good one-liners and few laughs.

Cute touch when Mulder tries to call Scully and scrolls through his contacts list and the highlight stops on "Gillian" it was a quick shot but visible. Did he use his own cell phone?

I will not give up any of the plot to not ruin it for people that still are going to fork the $$$ to go see it.  In total... it looked a lot like an extended Episode 1 from season 10. I hope Chris Carter creates a few more movies and this time bring in more older cast members and throws in a few flashbacks and answers to unresolved questions or if one of the networks decides to pick it up for the "New Generation" Season 10 and up, would be nice.

Don't take my word for it, it's just my own opinion. (Not a professional Critic)
