A blog regarding a new release but not a televise release....a solo record. Why? Why not....as it doesn't sound like anything televise have ever done except it mixes organic with electronic and melody with mood soundscapes.
"Navigare" is out in October on Miasmah Recordings which is run by Erik Skodvin who is Svarte Greiner and one half of the totally superb deaf center (get pale ravine if you don't own a copy). It features Jasper TX on one track "The Old Jug And Drum", Rafael Anton Irisarri on "Spring Stars" and Moskitoo singing on "The Night And The Artificial Light". Plus a whole host of instruments I have never recorded before including sitar, violin, cello, flute plus some I am very used to including drums and some nicely reverberated guitars.
A close source said it sounds a bit like a mash up of william basinski, slowdive, MBV, The Caretaker, Tim hecker all playing a David lynch soundtrack without sounding like any of them individually.
Lots of live shows coming up in Europe and UK with some ace acts including The Caretaker, Machinefabriek, Fennesz, Library Tapes, The Sight Below, Christopher Willits, Xela, Rafael Anton Irisarri and Svarte Greiner! Look out for a collaboration with The Sight Below later on in the year and also Isan, Jasper TX, Machinefabriek and Boy In Static remixes. I am also recording an album with Jasper TX which is a movie soundtrack and it should be available
later on in 2009!
