Current mood:  adored

Hello everybody.  It has come to the point that we must keep the Black Knots friends posted.  By friends I mean all of you!  Anyway here is what is up at the moment.  Its fucking cold, feels about right for Rock N Roll done right, which essentially just means done by us but humility aside.  Things are going well.. Here is where we are.

First off recording and everything has taken longer than expected (just because it always does, that and the majority of the band has had a hard time staying out of jail for the last few monthes)  shit just keeps happening.  But fuck it we are not going to let the fuzz dampin our spirits things are on the up and up!  We recorded 18 songs for this album/singles/cdep.. so its been a huge undertaking.. But sounding amazing so thats wicked just pretty exhausting..

The Teenage Heart Records Release has been put on the shelf for the moment.  It will be released kiddies but we dont know yet when so I gots no information for you.  What is about to be released is the Re-Release of "Hellbent To Kick Out" on Vinyl in Italy and a single off the album (None more Fresh) due out TBA!  As for the Guitarmaggedon!  The real work we are up to and the upcoming album we are hoping for release march or april depending on label scheduling and essentially us just finishing this monster!  As I said before 18 tracks were recorded and they are HUGE, its a rock bomb!  and thats being humble!  that being said we are not releasing all of them and not sending it to Dead Beat Records (our very awesome label!) until we have decided whats going on the album the rest will either be saved for european releases, singles, or fuck it 'who knows!  but thats the way it goes.

I just left the studio with my mad scientist brother Greg Gatlin laying guitar tracks and we are just humbled, elated and down right fucking proud of what we are making!  So that being said, that should give you cats something to look forward to .

On a obvious point, we are not playing any shows right now because of recording.  We will start again probably a few weeks prior to album release, (getting ready for tour)  and that way we'll be on point and eventially do a album release party and all that what'not!  should be fun, Ill keep ya posted when we get around to that.  But anyway things are coming along better than our expectations and thats fucking stellar!  So until then keep digging because the closer you are to hell will only make the trip shorter and we have new shirts so dig in!

Hey everybody!  Lets getting started with the meat of all things!  to recap since the last real release and news of the Black Knots!  "Hellbent To kick it out" was released on Oil River Records our own record label in early 07 to great reviews!  We have been touring, playing shows relentlessly pushing that drug called rock n roll to the masses in the way that only we can!  We opened our own restaurant in Downtown Huntington West Virginia called Knuckles Sandwich Co.  just killer food in a RNFR atmosphere pushing the Black Knots agenda or atleast the propaganda that we perpetuate, namly our own hype and all that we do!

We have a couple of big shows coming up, playing with Whiskey Daredevils a couple of times now that they are getting back from Europe!  So that should be kick ass, as well we have a couple of festivals coming up.  Heavy Rebel Rock Fest in Winston salem and the Knockemstiff Fest in Ohio!  but after those shows and few more in the tri state area we dive into the studio!

New albums!  We are signing with Dead Beat Records to realease our new full length "The Guitarmeggedon"!  check out their webpage, mail order and what not and praise them for good taste!  New album should be out, most likely early Jan 09 if not earlier!

as well their will be an accompanying release of 7 songs on Teenage Heart Records as an Cd-EP tentatively titled "Tokyo Hoe's"!  coming out around the same time so you lucky cats out there can get all of this you can handle!

so good news, new full length, new EP!  all kinds of good shit! catch the next two months of shows and buy lots of Black Knots Merch!  Keep killen all and bon voyage from your boys trying to bring kick ass RNR back to the states
