This entry is about hiring a quality band versus hiring a cheap band. Obviously, anyone would choose quality, rite? The thing is quality doesn't come cheap. The saying "You get what you pay for" holds true, not just when hiring band but in any situation.
There are some clients that are willing to pay an "x" amount of money but expect "xxxx" in return. You can find a band that offers you a cheap fee but most clients will realize later that they're not getting quality service and satisfactory music.
When you have an event, you definitely would want the best entertainment and service you can find. If you desire quality and value, pay for it! As special events only come "once in a blue moon" and I'm sure you want to have good memories of that occasion.
I specialize in performing and band management for events and functions. Thus when I undertake an event, I will give my best and focus my energy and attention to it. When client approach me, I will need to get some key details about their event in order to come up with the best solutions.
Solutions meaning the "right" band for your event, whether it's assembling a Jazz quartet, Jazz trio, strollers, with vocals or just strictly instrumental. Choosing the correct musicians and the correct combination of musicians that work well together is where my expertise and experience comes in. The musicians that I choose will also be determine by what kind of repertoire or genre of music, your event requires.
I don't rely on the same musicians and singers all the time. All of them are freelancers and locking them down for a specific date can only be done when a deposit is received. Through the years dealing with clients, I found out the hard way that verbal confirmation won't do. If I were to book the singers and musicians for a particular date and the client later cancels our band for some unforseen reasons, I will loose credibility to my musicians and loose out on other offers, for the same date, that happens to come my way after the clients initial booking. It also won't be fair to my team members as they might or might not already turn down other offers for that date as well.
Therefore, an initial deposit is compulsory once a client have decided to hire us, and balance payment on the performance night. It is my responsibility to settle my teams remunerations 3 to 4 days after the performance date.
Coming back to the topic at hand, you might ask yourself "Why should I trust and hire this person?" That's basically the purpose of this website. It's to inform you that you're dealing with a professional and with someone that's credible. Be sure to check out the 3 videos in this page. It's about 5 to 6 minutes per-video.
Hence, if you're really serious about hiring me, sit back, relax and spend 15 minutes to view the 3 videos. And if you think I'm the guy that you want to hire, do contact me to get more details.
There's also a link "latest performance" on this site where you can view my latest and my past performances in detail. Each and every one of my events are listed there since I've started blogging from August 2006.
There is also my "Profile" link and a "video" link if you have time to explore further.
