Current mood:  ecstatic

We've gotten a ton of e-mails and calls on the new Rev Jr. micro stack and Krankshaft overdrive pedal that are both coming out in late April/early May so here's some info.

The Rev Jr. Mini Stack is a professional studio quality rig featuring a 20W all tube dual channel head (2 5881's, 3 12AX7's) with boost switch and active tube-driven effects loop. One thing we should mention is the 1x12 solid poplar wood cabs (same construction as their big brothers, the Rev and Krankenstein 4x12 cabinets) will handle a 100W head for home studio use, serving multiple purposes. The full stack will be $899 MAP, $699 MAP for the half stack (*NOTE: the head will not be sold separately). The Rev Jr. delivers great tube tone backstage, in the studio, at intimate club gigs or at home where volume and space can be an issue.

Also coming is the Krankshaft overdrive, a very hot-rodded tube screamer-type pedal that sounds great as a front end lead boost or as a dirty sound on a clean channel. That will MAP at $129.

Both got rave reviews and were listed as some the top items seen by the various guitar magazines this past January at Winter NAMM 2007. For any further inquiries please feel free to hit us up with a message here or e-mail us at sales@krankamps.com.

As you know, Krank is very supportive of hard working musicians all across the world. We do have a minimum requirement for artist endorsements. We need you to play atleast 150 shows a year and have some type of secured record deal with a label that has distribution.  If you do meet these requirements, please direct all artist endorsements inquiries to sales@krankamps.com

The Chadwick is a "fully Kranked" version of the classic British tube amp ala JMP/AC-30, but with more tone and more muscle. This baby pumps out 50 watts of classic tube tone laced with incredible harmonic overtones and warmth. The Clean channel is big and fat with clarity and power and features both Gain and Volume controls so you can dial up anything from perfectly clean to crunch. The Drive channel features three gain stages (variable Gain, switchable Drive, and Volume) with a very trick Envelope circuit that drives the power tubes harder at low volume levels.  Both channels feature very smooth Bass, Mid, and Treble EQ controls that enhance your sound rather than change it. Any player from classic rock to hard country will fall in love with this amp fast. The Chadwick is a great match for the Revolution 4 X 12 cabinet with four Eminence V12 legend speakers.

The Chadwick in detail:

Gain – This controls the amount of distortion or overdrive generated at the front end of the preamp section.

Drive – This adds gain in the middle of the preamp for more distortion and overdrive.  Pushing the Drive switch in increases the gain in the circuit.

Envelope – This controls the amount of gain in the last stage of the preamp.  Turned down, the envelope will sound cool and bright. Increasing the Envelope will increase sustain and make the amp sound a bit softer.  It's best to start in the middle and check out both directions with this control. Note that if either the Gain or the Envelope is turned all the way down the amp will make no sound.

Shift – This switches the tone of the Drive channel between one of two preset values.  In the "out" or "off" position the circuit flows normally through the EQ section. Pushed in and activated, Shift allows more mids and lows through the circuit and makes the tone controls slightly less active. Simply put the Shift control switches between Classic Tube and a Modified Tube amp. We thought both sounded great so we figured we would give you both options and let you choose what suits your style best.

All-tube, hand wired circuitry with brilliant tonal innovations designed and voiced by Dimebag Darrell himself!

Dime knew what he wanted in an amp and he knew what he wanted out of an amp. The Krankenstein is that amp. Based on the flawless circuitry of the 100 watt Krank Revolution amp head, the Krankenstein features a Dime modified Kleen channel that's warm and buttery with the hint of breakup that Dime required to get his classic clean tones. To the already gain soaked overdrive channel Dime added an overall Master Volume control (so you can trainwreck the channel master volumes into the overall Master volume), and a level control on the effects loop. This           2-channel, all-tube, high-gain monster is loaded with premium Sovtek 5881 power tubes and premium Electro Harmonix 12AX7 preamp tubes. Dime also matched the Krankenstein head to the Krankenstein 4 X 12 solid wood touring cabinet with blacked out steel grill and Eminence Texas Heat drivers.

 Features:

  • Krank EQ sweep on the Dime distortion channel
  • 4-Premium Sovtek 5881 power tubes
  • 4-Premium Electro Harmonix 12AX7 preamp tubes
  • Kleen and Dime channels with separate volume and 3-band EQs per channel
  • Selectable 4, 8, and 16 ohm speaker output
  • Line out
  • Push/pull series effects loop with volume control

The legend starts here with the 100 watt Krank Rev 1 all-tube, touring head. Proudly designed and built in the USA by most dedicated bunch of amp fanatics ever assembled, the Krank Rev 1 features two channels each with separate volume and concert tuned 3-band EQs. Two separate master volume controls on the Krank channel allow for switching from power chord level to solo level and the Master Presence control adjusts both Kleen and Krank channels to your cabinet. The proprietary Sweep control on the Krank channel gives the Rev 1 an infinite variety of tone voices and we promise that your sound is in there just waiting for you to dial it up. Loaded with four premium Electro Harmonix 12AX7 preamp tubes and four premium Sovtek 5881 power tubes, the Rev 1 was built with absolutely no compromises. The Rev 1 includes a rugged steel two-button footswitch for channel switching and switching between the two channel master volumes on the Krank channel.
