Hey guys! You know what you should do right now? Pre-order Jingle Spells, the holiday wizard rock compilation put together by The Leaky Cauldron and lots of your favorite wrock bands!

Jingle Spells is only $15, and can be purchased by visiting this page on Leaky. And everyone, when they say "limited-time offer," they mean it. The CD is only on sale through December 10, so hurry up and order! 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Book Aid International, an organization that builds libraries in disadvantaged countries across the world.

ALBUM NEWS
-Catchlove has let fans know that pre-orders are available for OMG! It's Christmas! in this blog. You can also read more about the limited edition Where Do We Go From Here? here.
-Dumbledork has put out a downloadable album of 16 tracks called Instrumental Magic. Click here to download the album, and here for more information (including a track list).
-Siriusly Hazza P's album will be available through their MySpace as of Halloween.
-The Curse Breakers have made their songs available for purchase for $.99 a song on their MySpace page.
-The Whomping Willows' self-titled debut album can now be purchased on iTunes.
-Tonks and the Aurors is holding a contest for fans to come up with the name for the band's album. Winner gets a free copy of the CD, so hurry up and send in your submissions (details in this blog)!

TOUR/SHOW NEWS
-Another ball has been announced for wrock fans this winter season. The Crystal Ball is being held in Ohio at (get this) a real castle. Currently, The Whomping Willows and Draco and the Malfoys are confirmed for this event, and we will post more news as it comes out.
-Getting geared up for Wrockstock? It was recently announced that The Remus Lupins will be performing at the awesome event as a full band! Yep, Toby and Tyler will be joining Alex in Missouri. (The same blog also reminds fans of the Were-Love Tour with Catchlove and Adam from The Mudbloods.)

Hiya, everyone! It was a great week for wrock, but before we get down to the song lists and album news, I'd like to remind you all about Jingle Spells, the new holiday wizard rock compilation album!

The Leaky Cauldron, along with 14 amazing wizard rock bands, have put together this awesome CD, the proceeds of which are going to benefit Book Aid International. You can't order or even pre-order Jingle Spells yet, but check out the Wizrocklopedia's exclusive preview of the album for more information, including short clips of the songs to be included!

ALBUM NEWS
-The Weasel King generously posted downloadables of his entire album on his website. There are also a few other songs, so be sure to take advantage of this opportunity!
-DJ Luna Lovegood's latest album, Yellowish, is currently available for pre-orders. The album costs $5.00, with the option of simultaneously donating a few extra bucks to a women's health organization. A track list is here, and pre-orders should be sent out some time next week.
-Catchlove's Christmas EP is to be titled OMG! It's Christmas! (as announced in this blog).
-The Cruciatus Curse has decided that any of the group's albums can now be purchased for any amount that the buyer chooses. Digital files or a physical copy can be bought, and the link to do so can be found in this blog.
-Creevey Crisis has released an album on MySpace called Moving Pictures and Memories that can be downloaded for free via the band's main and supplemental pages. Go here for lyrics, track notes, and tons of other information about the project.
-RiddleTM recently put up a blog letting fans know that a CD titled Secrets of the Darkest Art is underway!

TOUR/SHOW NEWS
-Tonks and the Aurors would like your help finding places in Illinois to book shows. You can find the details of the request here, in a MySpace blog.
-Matt, aka The Whomping Willows, is going full-steam-ahead with the idea of a House Party Tour. For details, a tentative schedule, and information about the latest t-shirt design contest, check out this blog.
-Terminus, the Harry Potter symposium scheduled for next summer in Chicago, has announced Wrock Chicago, a wizard rock event that is sure to go down in history. Multiple stages, more than two dozen bands... who's psyched? For complete details, you can read the press release here.

-A debut CD entitled Ravenclaw's Real Colors has been announced by Blue and Bronze. It will hopefully be out by the end of the year, and you can read more information about it (including a potential track list) here.

-Danny Dementor has made his album, Where's Your Hood At?, available for purchase on his MySpace page.
-The Unspeakables have released their debut album, and it can be bought for $7 in their native Australia, or for $9.50 for anywhere else in the world.
-Hogwarts, A History's EP, Throwing the Gnome, can be downloaded from the band's MySpace. Hard copies are still available by request.
-Godric's Hollow has made their debut EP, Peverell, available for free download. The first four tracks are on their MySpace profile, and the final three can be located on their Purevolume page.
-The Whomping Willows announced that a third full-length album is in the works, to be titled Party Like You're Neville. For potential song titles, check out this blog.
-The next two EPs for the Wizard Rock EP of the Month Clubare set to be mailed out at the end of September. There are only about 100 spots left in the Club, so join soon if you haven't already!
-It was announced by the Men of Ministry of Magic that the groups debut album, The Triwizard LP, is number 59 on the Top Electronic Albums on iTunes. Evidence that wizard rock is taking over the world? I certainly think so.

-Lena of the The Butterbeer Experience shared in a blog that she hopes to release a CD next year tentatively titled "Non-Alcoholic" or "Wrock Rocks."
-Album plans were also announced by Snape Plays Guitar, and can be read in this blog.
-The Owl Post has sold out of their album "Nocturnes," but ask you to contact them if you are interested in getting a cheap, burned copy.
-Remus and the Lupins has sent out a call (howl?) for werewolf drawings to be used for album art. Find details in this blog.

-Potterwatch! needs help! If you know of a venue in the Pittsburgh, PA area that is longing to be wrocked on August 31st, contact the band ASAP.
-Details of wrock performances for Portus and Terminus are slowly coming out, and you can view these two news posts for more info, but be sure to stay tuned for further announcements!
-Potter Rocks 2007 will officially be the UK's first wizard rock fest. More than half a dozen awesome bands will be performing!

-Lord Voldi and the Dark Marks released a video for their song "Crucio", and Basilisk has also put one out for the song "Such a Tease".

-A blog from Ministry of Magic let fans know about a music video contest.

ALBUM NEWS

-A blog from The Chinese Chomping Cabbages announced plans for a new wrock compilation called Wrocking on the Borderline, proceeds to benefit the Borderline Personality Disorder Research Center.

-The Fleur Delacours are working on a CD to be called Fleurtatious.
-The Mudbloods have posted a blog with info, including a track-list, for their EP Animals That Have Left Me.

TOUR/SHOW NEWS

-While on tour with The Whomping Willows, The Remus Lupins' van was broken into by Death Eaters and lots of money and several iPods were stolen. You are all encouraged to help them out by going to their shows and buying their CDs and merch!

BLOG UPDATES
-Molly, of Roonil Wazlib, wrote a massive blog entry detailing her wrock experiences during the Summer of Awesome and her plans for the coming school year. Containing photos, links to videos, new lyrics, and more, everyone should definitely check it out.

The LA Times recently posted a sort of guide to wizard rock on their website. The piece includes photo galleries and short descriptions of several of the more well known bands, including rating their "gimmick factors". The article can be read here.
