Hey All-

There's a little song contest going on in Texas, and one of our tunes, "Jessi Jane" is in the running. The website is called HossTheBoss.com. Be sure to check out the website, and if you have an extra minute, please post a comment on the bottom of the voting page and let them know what you think of their site.

Voting is open each Saturday, beginning after the live show (about 4 p.m. Central Time) and runs through noon the following Saturday. The bottom 10 songs get eliminated each week. The top 5 songs at the end of each month advance to the final contest during the last week of the year, and then we do America’s newest New Year’s Day Tradition: the Hossey Finals Show beginning at 2 p.m. Central every year.

Hey Y'all,

We are all getting really excited about our upcoming gigs. We can't wait to be playing live shows again. We hope to see you all soon at a show. It has been a long time...

This past winter, during our time off, a few members of The Whipsaws had the opportunity to work with a good friend of ours, Chad "Harland" Frank, on a very special project, entitled "Race the Rain."

"Race the Rain" is the first album by Harland Frank. It was recorded and produced by Aaron Benolkin of The Whipsaws. Aaron also contributes his musical talent to the album. James Dommek Jr., of The Whipsaws, plays on the album as well. The Hacksaws are rounded out by Marty Jones and Kara Karels who both lent their voices for backup vocals. "Race the Rain" was mixed and mastered by Greg Benolkin.

All proceeds from sales of "Race the Rain" are being donated to Alaska Children's Services. ACS was originally founded as a children’s home. Today they provide a broad range of psychiatric services to support youth with severe emotional disturbances. To learn more about Alaska Children's Services, please visit: http://www.akchild.org/
