Tony has moved to Atlanta and Beauty Sleep is on a break. It  may be a permanent break, but you never know.

So, Brian is leaving us forever...something about a hot blonde chick and Europe....such a fool.  So we are on the lookout for a new bassist (seems to be becoming a yearly ritual).  Any ideas????

Also, we are putting out a 4 song EP to prelude our new album 'Songs on Tape Recorders'.  It will be out at the end of the month and you can pick it up at POPFEST! New England. . . .  if you won't be there, just send us an email.

The good news 1st . . . we will be releasing a 3 song sampler in the somewhat near future . . . Oh . . . and we will be playing at Fat Baby on the 19th. . . . Oh . . . and the new Built to Spill really rules (I guess that piece of information doesn't really belong here, but I'm listening to it right now. so good.)

So . . . now the sorta not great news . . . Songs on Tape Recorders release date has been pushed back a bit.  I love the leaves changing in fall and all, but snow is much more fun. 

If you are desperate to have one of the songs now, just email us your cell number and we will play it on your answering machine during next band practice. Just remember to save it every 3 days.

So....Songs on Tape Recorders is almost finished!!!! We have been working on this 9 song album for months and the end is almost here! We recorded it here in our Brooklyn apartment and all the mixing was done by Tony and Rob. So, if you run into them and they look all pale with bloodshot eyes, it's because they haven't seen the light of day and have been hunched over our computer for the bulk of their existence during the past few weeks. 

Along with some re-recordings of songs you may have already heard from our self-released ep, the album will also include some new ones ...Cutout Stars in an Empty Bar, David Rivers, The Tracks, Take My Voice, and Songs on Tape Recorders.

We would like to thank Sunny Garden, Arrested Development, and Folgers Coffee for making it all possible.

Of course SoTR won't be released until September, but don't fret...

We are going to pre-release one of our songs and make it available to hear on MySpace!!!! 3 cheers for technology.
