I  know I save my blog and typically my MySpace for work related stuff but I wanted to add a lil' note about the birth of my sweet daughter Lily Jean Thompson. She is a sweetie and will hopefully like fashion as much as her Mama since I have many gorg dresses for her to wear when she grows up!

I am in a book!!

It is called "Creative Careers in Fashion Design". It is a great book that tells all about the different career paths to choose from in the fashion industry. Along with information on the careers themselves, there are interviews with successful people in each career and their individual experiences. It is a must read for anyone looking to start out in any career in fashion.

I am chapter 33!!! I actually have a whole chapter of my own with photos even! So amazing....I can hardly believe it.
If you want to purchase the book, it is available on Amazon.com just click here

so COOL! I just got an email from my lovely friend Aimee Phillips and she attached the video for Sneaky Sound System - I Love It....and boy do I! I do love PR and seeing my dress for Heatherette (from their Living Dolls Show) in the video made my day!

I posted the video on my profile pg and website if u wanna have a look! Its the green cowl neck dress with sparkly bits at the waist! I do miss getting press. It's like instant gratification for your hard work. I love seeing customers wearing the clothes too but when u work for a small company, that is actually harder to see in person! Chances of you seeing your design walking down the street is rare unless you work for a big company....and them big corporate types aren't interested in yours truley!

I saw my first design (a hologram backpack I sold at Patricia Fields in NYC) walking up 1st avenue in NY one time...I followed the girl about 8 blocks trying to get up the courage to tell her I designed her backpack. I totally whimped out tho. I was all giggles seeing someone wear my design tho! It's the greatest and I wouldn't trade it for the world!
