So... CalTrans just announced that the Bay Bridge will most likely not reopen by tonight.
We're pretty bummed about this and wanted to address the situation for ticket holders and folks planning on coming tonight from the East Bay.

Thankfully, BART will be running extended hours tonight so leaving after our show will still get you home. Our set will be over before midnight, last trains out of SF are 12:30.
(drinkin and drivin is for suckers anyway ;)

The 16th & Mission BART station is a very short cab or bus ride from the venue.
The 14 Mission, 14L Mission Limited, 22 Fillmore, 33 Stanyan, 49 Van Ness-Mission, and 53 Southern Heights busses will all get you there from the Bart station.
Just head east on 16th St. to Missouri and over to 17th. The venue is right there.

Few options for driving...

For Berkeley/Oakland folks, The San Mateo bridge can be accessed by heading South on 880. For Danville/Walnut Creekers, by heading south on 680 from Danville and west on 580 to 880S.
After 880S, take 92 West over the SM bridge and up 101N to SF.

It'll only add about 18 miles to your trip. Good news is that Potrero Hill (the section of the city where Bottom of the Hill is) is one of the southeastern most neighborhoods in the city so you'll come right up on it coming up 101N from the San Mateo Bridge.

-or-

If you're coming from the Martinez/Concord area, take Hwy 4W to 80 W, to 580 W and head over Richmond Bridge to 101S, over the Golden Gate bridge and come down thru the city via Van Ness Ave to 16th, left on 16th to Missouri and over to 17th.

There's also the possibility that the Bridge will reopen sometime tonight and you'll only have to do this roundabout way once.

In light of all this travel melee, if you can swing making it out, we can't tell you enough how much we appreciate the extra effort. This is a huge night for us.
All East Bay travelers that don't have a copy of our first record, will receive one for FREE and get a drink on us.

P+B fans...

You might have seen the national television ads and the Goodyear blimp flying over the greater Bay Area touting our May 19th show with the Life and Times at the Cafe Du Nord. But in case you haven't heard, we will be rocking it with Kansas City's finest this night and we want to see you all out en masse to check out some top shelf rock music.

Tickets are selling fast so make sure you hope online and purchase yours now.

It's cheaper to by them online rather than the day of the show BTW...

We are really gearing up for this one so we hope to see you all out at the show on the 19th...

Some killer news just hit the wire for the fellows in Pine + Battery.

The band just secured the opening slot at the Café Du Nord on Tuesday May 19th opening up for the amazing and powerful Life and Times out of Kansas City, Missouri.

This is a show you will not want to miss so please get your tickets in advance as this show will sell-out fast. We need to see everyone out for this show. It’s a biggie for us.

These guys can seriously jam and we are super pumped to be on the same bill with them.

Other stuff… Oh yes, gigs!

We will be hitting the stage in Vacaville at Cheers on Thursday April 23rd and then at venerable Dan’s Bar in Walnut Creek on Saturday April the 25th. If you haven’t seen us at Dan’s you obviously don’t know what’s up because it’s quite an atmosphere there on Saturday nights and we aim to please playing original tunes along with hits from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Come by and slam a beer, or nine, with us on a Saturday night.

The band will also be hitting La La Land soon with a date on June 5th at Los Angeles’ Hotel Café. This is one of the hot spots for quality music down there right now and we are quite jazzed to be getting a chance to show our wears in city of angels.

Dates for San Diego and the coast are also in line for the following couple of days as well. We will keep you posted. If you want to spend your summer vacation with Pine + Battery, and who wouldn’t? Then make sure to plan on checking us out in So Cal in June.

There’s also a record in the works as we speak. Our new rehearsal space at Soundwave Studios (Thanks Al!!) has spawned some new creative energy out of the group. Or, maybe it was just that 12 pack of Olympia we have down there, who knows, but one thing is certain, the band is on a creative role and we have new songs to show for all of our creative head butting. Look for a new record, along with a CD release party in July. We hope to have our friends from Philadelphia, Jealousy Curve in on the action as well.

So lot’s of exciting stuff going on. We will be bugging all of you with email blasts and marketing campaigns and the like in order to get some fannies out of the crib and out listening to some quality tunage…

See you all soon,

Jeff, Andy, AJ, Rick

Current mood:  anxious
One and all...

Jeff and Andy (the Weller of all Wellers) will be playing a special acoustic show this coming Tuesday 4/14 at Cafe Royale in SF for the second installment in what will (hopefully) be a regular songwriters' showcase, in-the-round at the Cafe.
This week, we'll share the stage with the wonderfully talented talents of Roya Vakili and Davis Jones.
Info is below... and see the flyer on our page for a more colorful picture of things.

Hope to see you on Tuesday!

DOWNLOAD Workin’ for the Weekend!!
P + B fans...
Economy got you down?? Is a second job forcing you to work on the weekend?
Well this one's for you!!
Quick question...
What do Loverboy and Pine + Battery have in common?  Other than the fact that we like to wear hot pink leather pants in the comfort of our own homes...
Nothing much…
But one day we all collectively decided that since we are all essentially working for the weekend in these tough economic times anyway, why not record the 80's anthem on a sunny afternoon over in San Francisco???!?!?
So, low and behold, we did....
And it's now posted for your listening pleasure on our MySpace page.... SAH-WEEEET!!
BUT!!! What if you wanted to take it a step further and rock this nugget of decades past on your MP3 player, in your car, at the gym or while you're doing a full dress-rehearsal of the Patrick Swayze/Chris Farley Chippendales SNL skit that put this song on the map??
We got that covered too.
All we ask is that you do one of the following things to help us get this all-too-ridiculous song out to others' ears:
1. Post a Pine + Battery tune to your Facebook, MySpace or favorite social networking site
2. Post a review on our iTunes page
3. Tell five friends to check us out on any of our networking sites, add us as a friend and tell us that you sent them. Simple…
Once you’ve done the above, just let us know that you did by sending us a message w/ your email address to info@pineandbattery.com, put “WFTW” in the subject line and we'll gladly email you a link with a downloadable version of our cover of  “WFTW” so that all of your friends can make fun of us too.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon and THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!!
Bands are nothing without fans and we're honored that you've even read this far!!
-Also-
The crew has been spending a lot of time writing new material as of late. In fact, you can hear some of this new material when we play our next show over at Dan's in Walnut Creek on Saturday March 21st at 9pm.  This will be another one of our super sized mega-sets so head on down to the Creek for what promises to be a stellar night of music.
The band is also poised to do some mini tours this year on the West Coast and perhaps a little sojourn out to the East Coast as well. We will keep you all updated as soon as we know more.
Cheers

Greetings...

Happy March 15th...

Today is a very special day for two rock legends.
P+B wishes to send special birthday wishes to Dee Snider of Twisted Sister and Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead.
Having scoured the Dead's vast concert data it appears that Phil and Dee never did share the concert stage together...

Also, on this day in 1986 Starship's "Sara" hit number one in the US and the Bee Gee's "Jive Talkin" hit numero uno in 1975.

We would also be remissed if we didn't throw a shot out  to the hit tv show "Eight is Enough" which first aired on ABC in 1977.

Stay tuned for more interesting facts from your friends in Pine + Battery.
