Thanks to all of you came out to the pool hall this past Saturday! All three bands had a great showing, and we had a great time putting the show together! We were happy to have our fearless fiddler, the lovely Miss Keri Kauffman back in town, and she did a great job jumping in after a long hiatus. Sadly KK is back to school once again, but we hope we'll see her again soon. Thanks to Chris and the staff at Gold Crown Billiards for hosting the show, and putting up with our noise, and thanks again to all the monkey love! Look for Monkey Love Productions to be putting together some more shows soon! Until next time!!

HEART GETS MONKEY AT SPAGHETTIFEST MAIN STAGE IN 2007

Yes, we got the official word last night. Midnight Spaghetti and the Chocolate G-Strings hosts this annual benefit festival. And, yes, they DO serve spaghetti at midnight! Don't have a date yet, it will be late September (after some of the HGM members return from a fabulous vacation in Nags Head ... ahhh). More info on that will be comin' around, I'm sure.

BIG THANKS to Mickey himself for helping out on the sound at Casey's last night. Hope we raised some money for the New Orleans Musicians Relief Fund. Thanks also to Luke for organizing the show. We had a great time.

Other news - look for Heart Gets Monkey to return to Outback Lodge in Charlottesville; in Harrisonburg, you'll be able to catch us this spring at Casey's (Holiday Inn), Gold Crown Billiards or Rocktown Grill and probably be back at North River Grill in Bridgewater sometime this spring.

May the Monkey be with you :-)

North River Grill and Demo Updates!

Yo MONK-A-LOIDS!

Heart Gets Monkey played 2 sets on Wednesday November 22 @ North River Grill in Bridgewater, VA. The gig was a little last minute, but the monkey jammed out two sets, then The Reverend Bill sat in with our host, Jeremiah Prophett to finish out the night. Big thanks to Jeremiah for the gig, and to Dumas, Will and all the other North River Grill staff for showing us a good time. Thanks to all the ladies and gents that made their way out to the grill to listen. A special shout out to some of our C'Ville crew who made it out! Sally, Molly, and Tom (AKA Humble Troubadours we want to play that show with you. Let's make it happen!

As I posted before we are hard at work on recording, and we are ZOOMING! Six tracks have been recorded for a demo, and we are almost done! Look for a 6-song demo coming within the next month. After that it will be time to work towards a full-length Heart Gets Monkey album. Until then keep checking the "space," and the website for updates on gigs!

Oh yeah, BOOK US!
