Current mood:  cold

So as you can guess there's been not much going on in the Splint camp for fucking ages...were currently on an "indefinite hiatus" for the time being.

But...

We have recorded 4 brand spanking new tracks that were going to be (hopefully) putting on an album sometime in 2007. I'm going to try and work out the logistics on it at the beginning of the new year, stuff like artwork and how many/ how much it will cost to get pressed and all that shit, just want to make sure that if we do release an album that we WILL break even!

As for what were doing currently, Simon is half way around the world riding on the back of elephants and shooting AK47's in Cambodia or somewhere out in the jungle. I'm not up to much but am playing some shows with the mightly Twinzero in the Neatherland in March (check the Twinzero profile for details. Leon is now a married man! and I'm sure he's tinkering with his solo stuff as always, hopefully he'll manage to put some track together for the outside world to listen becuase I think all his solo stuff is real good shit. Mike is far away from Nottingham now living with his girlfriend...were all still VERY GOOD friends but don't get to see each other that often these days.

The album will compromise of both e.p's (A Placid Reminder and e.p 2) as well as those 4 new tracks that we recorded months ago with the super duper talanted Johnny Carter and Paul Yeadon AKA The Moot Group.

Track listing for the as yet untitled album is as follows:

The Spiral

Theory of Thought

Make Days More Attractive

Darkened

Interior / Exterior

First Stages of The Ghost Manifestation

Sometimes

A Fall Within The Chemistry

This Control

Three Points

All The Ways

I would Do Anything

So go check out the new Splint tracks that I've posted and hopefully  we'll all get in a practise room one day and play some shows...don't know when but I'm sure it will happen...one day.

Until that day, I'll keep you posted about the situation of the new album.

Have a good Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Dylan
