I just had to SCREAM.  I had TONS of web pages on Hometown and they are all GONE!  I never got a warning notice from them.  If anyone knows where I can sign a petition to get them back to copy the page codes...PLEEZE let me know!

Please take a moment and think about some of these things...and please answer with your thoughts...

We often take many things for granted, until one day it all starts to fall apart...leaving you helpless and afraid...I know it is a depressing thought, but we all will face some of these things at some point in life.  One thing I have found is that when the chips are down, the comfort of friends and family helps to make the journey a little smoother.  People seem to pop out of nowhere to lend a helping hand.

Ask yourself what you would do and how would you feel if...

Someone very close to you is sick or dying

You lose a spouse or other close family member

You lose a beloved pet

You lost your job

You lost your home

You found out you are dying

You are afraid to get old and die

Growing up in the 60's was a real trip.  My friends and I are all trapped in that era.  But it's all good.  We were lucky to grow up during that time.  It was a time when things changed so fast from AM radio to color tv (REALLY!!!) to computers, but the name of the game was PARTAY!  So we had it all.  There are so many memories, some are a big "foggy".  Early alzheimer's setting in?  How many of you New York Hippies can remember growing up with "the GOOD GUYS" of WMCA radio? Today, what would we do without computers and cell phones?  I'm grateful for the internet for helping me find long lost school friends and for cell phones so I can keep in contact with my family and friends anytime, anywhere.  I had no fears growing up and now as a mother, I worry knowing what I know now.  If I had to say one important thing I would express my total enrage about the drugs that our kids are exposed to today.

I can't say I was an angel myself, having grown up in the 60's...hehehe...I was 19 in the Woodstock era and all that jazz....but I can say that I turned out okay. But it sickens me to know all the shit some assholes are putting in pot today, as well as the other drugs going around.  It makes me sick to my stomach.

As a mother of a teenager, it worries me what someone may give her should she decide to try it.  And when she is old enough to go to bars, I will worry about whether some jerk may slip something into her glass (she already knows to hold her drink at all times - a shame we have to teach them that these days).

Also, too many people get hurt or even worse by driving with drunk drivers.  I know I don't stand alone with these thoughts, but if we can teach our children to be "street smart" we can only pray that they stay safe and do the right thing and come home to our hugs.

Nuf said about that, and maybe I will think of some other stuff to say, but for now, what are your thoughts????
