On the 23rd February Night of the Senses will be released from Total-E-Bound. It contains lots of sensory delights, packed full of BDSM stories - one story for each sense: sight, smell, taste, touch, hearing, and extra-sensory! I am honoured to have a story in this anthology with these other awesome authors:Desiree Holt, Sierra Cartwright, Ashley Ladd, Jessica Jarman and Kim Dare! My story is all about the sense of smell and is called Vanilla Spice.
Chocolate, cakes and domination, what more could a girl want? Emma hadn't stepped out of her flat in six months. When she did it was the smell of a local patisserie that lured her down the street. Every day she walked to Jacques to admire the cakes and enjoy their scent, then she discovered Jack. Jack, the patisserie owner and baker is just the dominant, commanding man she wants, but can she learn to accept her submissive nature? Will she indulge her appetite for sexual spice and ignore her good girl guilt or will she resist the temptation and regret it forever? And here is an exclusive sneak peek just for you. He took my hand as he walked past. For him it seemed a natural action. For me, it felt like he was claiming me, marking me as his. His fingers were long and hard, and they gripped mine fiercely but with a tenderness that took my breath away. We walked together around the back of the displays and into the kitchen. He led. I followed. I enjoyed his touch and discovered his deep musky smell. It was nothing pretentious, not aftershave or expensive product. It was just a suggestion of a fresh soap like scent with a hint of lemon and something more exotic. “This is my sanctuary,” he announced as we walked into the large, industrial kitchen. In the middle was a large, wooden table with thick legs and a worn top, all around the walls were ovens and hobs, stainless steel sides and a big, huge sink. “This is my pride and joy.” “It’s amazing,” I gasped, awed by its size and humbled by its homeliness. I knew this was an intimate place for him, and he would not invite just anyone into his kitchen. It felt as if I had been granted access to his innermost being, even more intimate than being invited into his bedroom. I felt slightly uncomfortable with the new step in our budding relationship. I struggled not to show it. “I love this table.” I ran my hand along the warm, soft edge. I felt the undulation of the time worn grain beneath my fingers, the varnish light and the table obviously antique. Just as I contemplated asking about its history, my hand slipped, knocking a silver bowl with a clang and spilling the contents all over the table. “Oh, hell, I’m sorry.” The unctuous, shiny chocolate goodness oozed across the clean top and made an awful lake of gooey mess. The warm, embracing scent filled the air and made me long to taste it. “Let me clean it up. Have you got something I can use?” “Yes,” he said, removing the silver bowl from the tabletop. “Your tongue. You can lick it up.” I looked at him. He wasn’t joking. His face was set. It was a command, yet I saw a glint of amusement in the green depths of his eyes. He was playing with me. “Hang on, though. I don’t want you to get that beautiful top messy.” He turned me to face him, his hands on my hips. He lifted my top, and I raised my arms so he could pull it off completely. I don’t know why I did let him undress me like that. Maybe it hadn’t been fear beating in my chest but arousal. “Oh, wow, that is a beautiful bra,” he whispered as I lowered my arms. “We better remove that, too.” “But,” I started to protest but he fixed me with his stern gaze, and I bit my lip to keep quiet. My breasts are big, round, and soft, but they are not perky. I held my breath as he walked behind me and unclasped the hook, then slid the straps down my arms. His strong hands aroused every spot of skin they skimmed over. My breasts dropped to their more natural positions, their artificial perkiness removed. When he stood before me and devoured me with his eyes, I did not detect a single note of disappointment. I straightened my back and pressed out my chest. I enjoyed the objectification of his stare. “Now clean up the mess you made. Come on. I haven’t got all day.” Keep an eye out for more excerpts all this week up until release day on Monday!

I wore my paper poppy in church today, a sea of other poppies faced me during a touching service which gives us the time to remember those who have died in war over the years.
I do not have any close memories of war, I've never had a friend, relation or lover go to war or die in war past or present. I count myself lucky in that. But many of the people in church today were thinking of loved ones lost, and I keenly felt their grief.
We stood outside in the whipping cold wind, the sky grey and overcast and we remembered them. I stood huddled with my friend, she is 86 and very much remembers the Second World War and it's atrocities. She knows loss and as we clung together I looked at the Lichgate.
The Lichgate is a war memorial and on its walls are written are the names of men lost on both wars who lived in the Parish. To me they are only names, but they were fathers and sons and brothers as well as friends, husbands and boyfriends and their passing will have been felt keenly. I felt but a second of that as I stood there, thinking in the cold. Tears rolled down my cheeks in sadness.
II remember in secondary school reading Journey's End by RC Sheriff in English Class. I played Stanhope, though we just sat in our seats to read it. It is a play set in the trenches in France back in the First World War. It's a fascinating look into the emotions and feelings of these officers from loyalty to pride, to hopelessness and loneliness and fear.
I was deeply affected by it at the time, appalled by the reality of war. I always remember that play on Remembrance Day. For me, it was just words, a story but for many people it was reality, it was how they lived and how they died. Today I remember those people as I look down at my blood red poppy. I remember them with thankfulness. I remember them with sadness.
We will remember them, always.

Yesterday I woke at 5am with nerves. I was incapable of thinking straight and spend the time wandering round various forums, panicking. Of course, the one day I need to get to Leeds, the trains are completely mucked up. I can't go straight from my local station so I caught the bus into Manchester at 10am. When I got to Piccadilly I then boarded another bus to hop the short way over to Victoria and then, finally, I actually got on a train at 11.10. It was a long journey, I sat with my copy of Curvaceous in hand, reading through the excerpts I thought I might use. Just as I came into Leeds I got a very encouraging text message from a friend, and then had a short conversation with Amy, the event co-ordinator who was meeting me at the station. It wasn't long until she turned up and we were chatting away all the way up to the Sela Bar. It was raining and very, very cold, even for a Mancunian! Scarlett Sanderson, Becky Cherriman and Miranda Forbes arrived only minutes after we got to the bar. I immediately got on with all these lovely women and with Amy we set about filling gift bags and setting out tables and chairs. The time flew, then and suddenly we were ready to do our thing. There were not many people there, to start, but I think it was a matter of quality over quantity as those who did attend were lovely. We had a fantastic time, I read excerpts from Getting Physical and Naughty Rendezvous from Curvaceous and enjoyed listening to the wildly different excerpts read by Scarlett and Becky. Miranda gave us a very interesting insight into what publishers look for in submitted work and even as a published author I found the info she gave to be very helpful. Miranda had to leave a little early, to make a long, long journey home, so we had some author questions and answers when she had left. It was fun and not as scary as I thought it mgiht be, no one asked a question I didn't know the answer to! To finish off the delightful afternoon, the official Leeds Erotica Festival Poet Laureate Alison Brumfitt read to us some of her fantastic poems. I was amazed by the sheeer vast array of emotions her poetry inspired in me, but I must admit I prefered the silly ones the most, I like to have my funny bone tickled! It took me 3 hours in total to get home, I was worn out when I eventually got back but it had been such a good day I had to waffle on about it to my husband for ages before I actually went to bed. I am already planning to attend next year! I have a few photos of the day up on my facebook, so if you have an account look up Victoria Blisse and see what you missed. :)

Here's a spooky excerpt from "Love Fucking Hurts" to get you in the mood! However, it was clear that Andrew had decided that spending time together was not the answer. Cathy ended up going to bed alone. She sat up as late as she could manage, reading. But as midnight approached, she found herself nodding off. Putting on her black sleep mask, (she could not sleep properly without it) she shuffled down under the heavy blankets and closed her eyes.
She woke to the blankets being violently snatched off her body.
"Andrew!" she yelled. "What the hell are you doing? It's fucking cold in here." She tried to snatch the blankets back, but couldn't find them. She peeled up the corner of her mask but a cold grasp pulled her hand away and pressed it into the pillow beside her head.
"Stop pissing about," she hissed. "Your hands are freezing." She found her other hand clasped and forced up beside her head as well, and became aware of a body above her. "You're drunk aren't you? You always get horny when you're pissed."
Cathy wasn't as scared as she thought she should be, nor as angry as she knew she had the right to be. She was more turned on than she had been in months and when his cold lips pressed against hers she kissed him back passionately. Their tongues danced together as their lips moved in sync.
All anger, resentment and hurt washed away as his lips, still unusually cold, slid down to her throat. She gasped and moaned as he bit her quite violently on the most erogenous zone in her upper body. He was kissing all her right spots and he sank lower, pulling down the top of the expensive new satin nightgown to pull up her breasts and suckle on her nipples.
It was strange how she seemed to still be able to feel his hands holding hers down, though they were obviously handling her breasts, arousing them with a passion she had not felt in far too long. She put it down to not being fully awake and enjoying the feeling of being held down.
His lips continued lower, over her stomach and down 'til she could feel his cold breath on her juice-covered pussy. His fingers carefully pealed her wet, warm lips apart, allowing his tongue to lap at the nub of pleasure beneath.
"Oh fuck, yes," she moaned as his mouth and tongue lashed at her sensitised flesh, making her writhe and buck, smearing his icy cheeks with her juices. It registered somewhere in her brain that his skin was still cold, but put it down to the strong winds along the seafront. She continued to enjoy the spiralling sensations of pleasure seeping through her body and making her tingle all over.
He took her to the very brink and left her hanging there; she moaned out her frustration and writhed on the bed.
"Don't leave me like this," she moaned, then lifted a hand to her eye and began to slide up the eye mask. A strong slap to her hand stopped her in her tracks. Read the rest of this story and more in Seasons of Blisse today and get 20% off with the special code: CANDYCORN And I will be appearing at the erotic Literature day at the Leeds Erotica Festival on Sunday and I'm really excited. A good friend of mine is a super dooper car salesman type person and also a bit of a whizz with a video camera. Here he is combining the two: Jackson Imports Commercial-Making of. It's well worth a view, just for the classic look on the bosses face at the end when he realises Flannel has been filming him. :)
