.....Any questions?

Haha..apologies to any and all who don't know yet. Now you know.

It's true how somebody said to me, "Ur whole thing 'bout to change", in reference to the second this character was to enter into the world. I just had no idea to what extent. In truth, I still have no idea..but that's the fun part about it.

[Disclaimer] Be clear: having a baby is NOT for everybody. If you are unsure for WHATEVER reason, take time for yourself to decide. And keep in mind what you contributing to: THE FOUNDATIONS OF A BRAND NEW DAY. I'm a say that again, for my fellow folks out there who (like me) enjoy the echoes....(ahem)...helping a young spirit into the world = YOU contributing to THE FOUNDATIONS OF A BRAND NEW DAY.

Too airy?? I apologize...the aka is: having a child is W-O-R-K. SOooo...if you just fukin around with shit) don't start. Aiight?

Cool. I had to air that out. [end of disclaimer]

NOW...haha...for those that's on MY level...haha...

(ahem)...havin a baby IS THE COOLEST SHIT EVER. Aaay man, this little thing growin FAAAAAAST. It's been 6 weeks and girl starting to recognize what she seein already. Hold on, lemme back up. You know how you see things? As (DUH) as this sounds, you gotta learn how to do ALLLa that. Recognizing COLORS, SHAPES, DEPTH PERCEPTION how sounds correspond to the sight...hell, how all the senses connect and contribute to the whole experience...let alone what things actually are (ie. people, chairs, walls...u get the idea). Regardless how smart you think you are, hand ALLL a dem props ova to them people who raised you...as well as them folks who was around waaaaay back when, while you was learning this shit. they a pivotal in what u perceive as your environment as a grown person TODAY.

Alright, where was I....oh yea, yo...shit is crazy with no sleep yall. Good thing is somehow with this momental change, I'm still makin some good music. Which reminds me: THANK YOU ERYKAH BADU for WORLDWIDE UNDERGROUND. That album works in reinforcing that life energy you need during pregnancy...for mommy, daddy & baby.

By the way, my album rotation for the past 6 weeks are:

01. Realmatic, The O.G. Volume 2 - Freddie Foxxx
02. For The Cool Ones - Carmen McRae
03. De La Soul Is Dead - De La Soul
04. Generation X - Sadat X
05. On Strings Of Blue - Della Reese
06. Phantom Empire - Styles P
07. Hood Treason - NYOIL
08. Open & Close - Fela Kuti
09. Classikhan - Chaka Khan
10. Marcus Garvey - Burning Spear

Sorry yall. Cuttin this quick, but gotta pay some bills.

Shouts family.

peace family.

hope everything good. listenin to the brother AZ (At Night) right now...reflecting on things. recovering from my falling down the stairs like a ole man...damn, this shit hurts.

yea though man...a lot of things happenin. i seen bush on tv last nite on how the states is a mess, and how everybody gotta do they part to help get the country back by lending the banks $7Biiiiiiillllliiiiion dollars. lemme say that again. aaaahem....

"EVERYBODY GOT TO DO THEY PART TO HELP GET THE COUNTRY BACK BY LEND THE BANKS $7BILLION DOLLARS."

by the way, that's not an exact quote...and bein perfectly honest with yall...i ain't seein how $7Billy help when according to the US National Debt Clock, the country in deep by roughly:

$9,791,031,467,870.07
aka who got $10 trillion?
aka check please????

family...and i'm sayin ALL this as a regular dude that ain't NOWHERE near bein able to represent his people in any political arena...(cuz it's HELLA inspiring to see a brother doin his thing...aka this is NOT hating) but yo...it's waaaaaaay beyond tryin to figure out who gonna be president this year. okay? SUN, i'm lookin at this number like: damn.....HUUH????

anyway...while some of my bredren continue to spill they egos into a fukin microphone and scarin the shit out the ole folks...the powers that be is askin YOU to give them more money so they friends at the bank can own your house...pardon me, your landlord's house. damn, this shit is cold blooded.

to hell with all that though. keep studying...keep reflecting...keep building. our real lives depend on it.

c

p.s. this is not a sermon. this is 1 person's opinion on a thursday night that ain't revolutionary...just simple and plain.

peace and blessings

i pray everybody doin alright out there. been away for awhile. those that know why, we laughin. all smiles. shouts to the new folks, of course...welcome.

okay. new album on the way...a mixtape for those precious few who sent they addresses to me is ALMOST ready for pressing. i'm just getting back from my honeymoon, so be easy. time frame don't mean the same to a newly married man. haha.

what else goin on? umm...GZA, the brother Kardinal and J-Live dropped they albums while i was gone, so i'm just catching up now. ALL classics. by the way, while in brazil the ipod LPs rollin with me was:

01. The Black & White Album - Imani Coppola
02. Konexion - Freddie Foxxx
03. De La Soul Is Dead - De La Soul
04. Beneath The Surface - GZA
05. Experience & Education - Sadat X
06. Adventures In Emceein - K.R.S.O.N.E.

07. - 10. some artists you and i have NEVER heard of.

and if you ain't heard these albums yet, please remember family...you REALLY CAN step away from top 40. haha...honest.

anyway, no disrespect...obviously to those who enjoy [insert your latest guilty pleasured top 40 album here] those musics...play on.

there's more important shit out there to deal with besides policing what y'all listen to.

when you around kids like me, you'll find we more interested in what it is you actually heard in that album (classic or wack...don't matter) and build from there. i mean, maybe i ain't right, but somebody speakin on what so and so said about the most classic underrated/overrated album don't really mean much without a personal thought on where it took you. right?

make sense or eccentric? lemme know...all i'm really sayin is a personal thought on how i see things...on how i like my shit, you know? if i'm speakin with you and you goin off on some shit you heard from someone else instead of yourself about this and that without knowing it yourself...where's the conversation?

anyway, no big deal, just one more set of life lessons that i continue to learn about everyday. and that's the creator's gift. all praise.

W-O-W….ever-so-gracious-ass-kickin music…for grown folks. haha. yeah, though…hella vibrant, soul search styles. Good stuff. Shout to Raoul and baby with the headphones that ain't come off the whole show (damn…).

Sunday was sleep to the pm, go see Elsewhere: Kanye vs Just Blaze. DJ Hedspin back from TO, DJ Flipout doin what he do, and DJ Lala 1-2-in…shit was great. Of course folks dancing, kids like me chillin, etc, etc. Shout to Yuki reppin the sushi spot across the street, the brother X for the jerk chicken spot 'round the corner, Ariel & Sammy for putting the tribute event together for August 24th (keep an eye out). P-L-E-N-T-Y others, I'm just outta time. Forgive family.

Rest In Peace George Carlin and Stan Winston, the movie fx guy. Alien? Predator? Jurassic Park? That's all his (teams') shit. And George Carlin, if you enjoy laughing, you should at least know the name.
