Blofeld are currently busy writing and recording songs for the upcoming album, which will be called "Quantum Of Rock". One of the songs finished is called "That's For Sure", which is picked to be the single off the album.

Axe Blackwell: "We were very happy with our musical direction on the last album, which was a mix between everything we love. We had hints of Maiden, Sabbath, Purple, basically everything great. We're respecting eachother's differences now, and the music is getting better because of it."

TJ Cobra: "This new album is a very natural follow-up to the last one (You Only Rock Twice), which was a very successful album. Up until a certain point, Blofeld was more of a Axe Blackwell solo-project than anything else, and it wasn't until a couple of years later me and George really got into the whole concept. We understand eachother in a way that's pretty rare among rock musicians, we can almost read eachother's minds, and that's why it's so easy for us to write new albums now. "

George W. Blofeld: "Blofeld is basically based on writing the music we want to hear. We started in the late 90's when there wasn't any new classic hard rock albums being released anymore, it had become some sort of a joke, and if we wanted to hear new good heavy music we had to write it ourselves. Well, a few years later this kind of music became popular again, and finally the joke was on the people who put it down. I'm very happy with the new one, and we're not even finished with it. It's got all the right elements that makes a good Blofeld album; screaming vocals, raw riffs and fast and furious drumming."

The album is slated to be released spring 2008, and features TJ Cobra (Infernal Manes, Violent Power, Memorized Dreams), Axe Blackwell and George W. Blofeld (Violent Power). The band has previously released 3 studio albums.

Blofeld has met up to start writing songs for the upcoming album. Title will be revealed shortly. Axe Blackwell: "The next album will be a natural follow-up to You Only Rock Twice. I LOVE what we did with both the style and sound, and the next one will be similar in many ways. We might go in a little more 70's direction on some songs, more in the vein of Whitesnake and Kiss. But the classic Blofeld style will most definitely be present."

Blofeld is:
Axe Blackwell - Guitar & Vocals
TJ Cobra - Bass & Vocals
George W. Blofeld - Drums & Percussions
