On New Years Eve we're holding a MASSIVE New Slang party, returning to our old home at The Works for a special one-off night!

There will be three rooms on the night, with some super special guests!

R O O M__O N E:
The Main Room will be New Slang as you would expect. Mixing up modern indie and electro party tunes - the stuff you've loved hearing all year.

Resident New Slang DJ Jon Tolley will be joined by the tallest man in indie Tall Dave! Then at 2am we'll move everyone into the main room for a special set from XFM's Eddy Temple Morris to finish up the night! Anyone who has caught one of Eddy's DJ sets at New Slang before will know how awesome they are!

R O O M__T W O:
The Elite Room will be a New Noise Eve room. DJs playing emo/punk/rock etc the kind of stuff you would normally hear at our sister club New Noise.

DJ'd by Dave McManus (New Noise London), Mike Hemsley (Hassle Records/Punktastic-ever-present) and Sean Haughton (Banquet Records)

R O O M__T H R E E:
The Works Bar, hosted by Seldom Seen Smith, will be more dance based. Electro, dubstep, beats and 80s party tunes with guest DJs as follows:

DJs Seldom Seen Smith (Banquet Records/Braille/Exotiq)
Jon 1st (Button Basher/Drop)
Mark Jackson (Document+1 vs. Slam City)
Dickon Stone (Rakkit Club)

The party will be going from the off and we want midnight to be something you'll never forget. This is gonna be the biggest and best party we can imagine and all in our home town of Kingston!

Early Bird tickets are just £6 for the first 200 people so get on those first. Once they've gone, tickets will be £10. Still a bargain for the biggest New Years Party in the area. We're returning to our old home and expect to sell out the 2000 capacity venue so make sure you get a ticket!

For more info and to get tickets go to: http://www.banquetrecords.com/newslang

Selected mainline drinks will be £2.80 on the night.

New Slang is over 18s only. You must bring a valid driving license or passport for ID!

Hi people!

Unfortunately yesterday our New Slang Facebook profile got deleted. Oh noes! On the plus side, we've set up a new one which you can add by clicking HERE or clicking the icon in our "about" section.

If you were attending any of the events we invited you to (for example, this Thursday's with Tellison), we'd like to stress they are DEFINITELY NOT CANCELLED. When the profile got deleted it took down all the New Slang-related events we'd created as well, which is why they've disappeared. We've created new event pages for these which you can find in our "Future New Slangs" section on this very page. Everything's still go!

If you can link your friends to the new profile and spread the news that would be very helpful too. Thanks guys!

Yours,

New Slang

It's with excitement that we announce New Slang is changing venues. We've had A LOT OF FUN at The Works and with the people that work there, but were jumping ship cos we've found something better. We are moving to McCluskys which is on Riverside Walk right by Kingston Bridge. Here's a MAP to help you out. It's still the same people running the night with the same music policy and selection of live bands, however now we've got a better venue, with cheaper drinks (pints of Fosters for £1.90, pints of Strongbow for £1.90, Vodka mixer for £2.30, Tequila for £2...), a smaller feeling venue but one which actually has a capacity of pushing 1000 still, a more appropriate door staff team and a better PA for the night.

We've got no doubt that if you overcame your fear of initially going to The Works then youll also be wise enough to check out McCluskys. Remember its still us running the night. Sean playing Les Savy Fav, Jon playing The Cribs, Joe Murton doing essential beer tasting, Punk Steve punking, Del hassling, Skye with her clip-board, Danny behind the sound desk, AD at the front door, Aaron checking your dance moves... Same night, same great times.

Our first night in our new venue McCluskys is on Thursday July 3rd and we've got a double headliner from Example and Cut Copy. What a great way to kick it all off!

This will be the second time we've had Fulham based rapper Example play at New Slang. He played one of our bank holiday specials the other month and was awesome; really getting the crowd going. His tongue in cheek jokes hip hop is really entertaining and works live brilliantly! We're looking forward to having him back!

Cut Copy come all the way from Australia and play at New Slang for the first time! Signed to the amazing Modular label, their synth driven disco-electro should have us all dancing! They've recently released a really great new album and we can't wait for this! Superb band!
