Ok kids - time to streamline and reduce my blogs to one. I've been updating on about three different sites and it's obviously way too time consuming. So head over to my website and follow the links to my blog: My Website

If you have a Blogger/Blogspot account you can choose to become a "Follower" and receive notifications (in a small window) when you log in - saving space in your Inbox. Notifications also show a preview of any image/s so you don't have to waste time clicking unless it interests you. I'm currently following a shite load of sites and I find it a quick and easy way to catch up.

Otherwise, there are usually options for you to subscribe to an RSS feed and get notifications that way if you prefer. I keep a fairly constant presence on there and don't usually whinge there, so all you'll get is pretty pictures.

Check it out now for the latest Tarot card designs I've finished over the festive season...

http://www.lostateminor.com/2008/10/14/torpedo-vol...

The latest issue of the excellent Australian-based literary publication, Torpedo, is out and is packed — as always — with elegantly written ficton from some of the world’s finest emerging writers. The issue was designed by Eirian Chapman and features fiction from Ben Jahn, Kris Allison, Eric Hanson, Obelia Modjeska, Neil Boyack, Peter Orner, Garth Risk Hallberg, Natalie Johnson, Paul Mitchell, Karl Smith, Mark Halloran, Keya Mitra & Ryan Crawford. There is also a bumper 50 page graphic fiction section featuring the likes of Walter Newton, Dylan Horrocks, Paul O’Connell, Tim Molloy and Stephanie von Reiswitz. And it all comes with a beautiful wraparound art deco cover from Jordan Clarke. All that for $25, including one tree planted through Eco-Libris. For those interested, they are looking for great fiction to fill Volume 5 and beyond. Short stories between 1000 and 7000 words and full colour comics. Submissions can be made via the FalconvsMonkey website. We have five yearly subscriptions to Torpedo magazine to give away to the first five Lost At E Minor subscribers to leave a comment under this post telling us why you really, really want one. Winners can be based anywhere in the world.

Camilla said | 29 October, 2008Really, really…Because the cover is lust inspiring. It makes me want to use the word dame and wear a snappy coat and have witty fast paced arguments. And if just one cover can do that, then a year’s worth of volumes promises many treasures and treats…

Current mood:  fabulous

...well busy. Which sounds like I should be rich but unfortunately never seems to be the case.

If you live in Melbourne, head along to the City Museum at the Old Treasury to see Hocus Pocus - opening 6th December until 22nd Feb. You notice my artwork Winged was used for the show's branding. I was also asked to design a title. Check out the catalogue as well, designed by Myamyn Creative, with beautiful gold foil and gate-fold cover. So cool!

Also completed the first of the portrait series of Aussie female musicians. My drawing of Clare Bowditch just wasn't happening so I've been sitting on it till inspiration hit. I finally conceived the idea that I could combine some of the various techniques I use - hand-drawn gilt frames, type and portraits and photomontage/collage (and a little photoshop magic).

Next up will be Katy Steele, which I'm planning to silk screen. I'm also planning to do a graffiti stencil of Maya Jupiter. Stay tooooned...

Also been working on some graphic design jobs and updating my website. My cover design for Torpedo is now gracing the shelves of Borders stores nationally, as well as other good bookstores. I took some sneaky shots in store which I'll post as soon as I can get them off my retarded new phone.
