 «Le site de La Couturanderie est idéal pour notre festival. L'année dernière, tout s'est bien passé. Et comme les autorités étaient satisfaites, nous revenons en août ».Hier, Amélie, une des membres de l'association Aqua-Véda qui organise depuis plusieurs années le festival de musique électronique Arcadia, ne cachait pas sa joie de retrouver les 28, 29 et 30 août prochains le parc d'une dizaine d'hectares situés sur la commune de Saint-Laurent. « Pour nous, l'édition 2008 est une référence. Le site est pratique, il y a des douches, des sanitaires. On a accès à une partie du bâtiment où on peut faire de la cuisine », confie l'organisatrice du festival. Ce lieu est tellement idéal que les organisateurs ont demandé à disposer d'un hectare de terrain supplémentaire : « L'année dernière, on avait dix hectares, c'est un peu juste pour deux mille personnes. Même si cette année, on n'en attend pas plus car on veut que le festival conserve une taille humaine ».Comme l'année dernière, la techno débutera le vendredi soir et ne s'éteindra que le dimanche midi. Deux scènes seront installées. La plus petite sera dévolue à la musique électro, l'autre à la trance et à une musique plus soutenue.Le leitmotiv de l'association Aqua-Véda reste le même : faire la fête en respectant l'environnement. Comme l'année dernière, un camping sera installé sur le site, des toilettes organiques ainsi que des douches biologiques seront à la disposition des amateurs de techno. Mais les organisateurs ont ajouté une nouveauté : « Tous les verres utilisés sur le site seront recyclables et compostables. Tous les stands alimentaires auront de la vaisselle recyclable, idem pour le staff d'organisation. Les poubelles seront elles aussi consignées », assure Amélie.L'année dernière, la décoration du site avait impressionné les habitants de Saint-Laurent qui avaient été invités par les organisateurs pour aller se rendre compte d'eux-mêmes de ce qu'est le festival. Cette année, la décoration sera « organique ». Des murs de végétaux, cinq jardins dont certains japonais et avec des fontaines, accompagneront la musique.Jeudi, les organisateurs ont eu rendez-vous avec les représentants de l'État, les pompiers et gendarmes afin de caler le dispositif de sécurité qui sera mis en place autour de l'événement. « Le dispositif de 2008 va être reconduit. C'est important pour nous de travailler avec eux et de montrer ce que l'on fait. Nous allons aussi demander au maire s'il pense que nous devons, cette année encore, organiser une réunion publique avec les habitants. Travel to Arcadia Festival by plane or train Nearest airport is Paris CDG u can then take a train that goes directly to Vierzon train station (15km from Arcadia) then we organise shuttle bus.
Train from CDG terminal 2 (one per day) leaving at 19h17 arriving 21h27 (direct train)
If this time schedule doesn't work you can then go to Austerlitz train station to get many trains going to Vierzon. click here
