INO RECORDS’ ROCK BAND
DECYFER DOWN GARNERS FIRST GRAMMY NOMINATION....
.. ..
Nashville, TN…Dec.
3, 2009... INO Records’ burgeoning rock
band Decyfer Down garnered their first GRAMMY ® nomination for Best Rock or Rap
Gospel Album of the year for their sophomore release Crash (5.5.09). The 52nd Annual GRAMMY ® Awards will be held
January 31, 2010 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA and will air on CBS
at 8pm (EST).
....
"We are very
grateful and honored to receive this nomination,” says drummer Josh Oliver. “It
has been amazing to see the overwhelming response to Crash and we look forward to connecting with new fans on the 2010
tour. We are excited to represent our genre with such great fellow
nominees."
Decyfer Down has had a year
of success playing to sold out crowds across the country on Skillet’s Awake & Alive Tour, seven
consecutive radio hits and career high chart placement: Crash debuted at No.3 spot on Christian Soundscan chart, No. 66 on
Billboard’s Top 200 and topped the iTunes ® Christian chart at No. 1.
In addition to their chart
topping success, earlier this year the band’s debut single “Crash” was featured on America’s top rated cable television show
World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hardy’s
History Montage, a Brother vs. Brother WrestleMania preview.
“What a great bunch of guys,” says President of INO Records Jeff Moseley. “I
love their music and their hearts. I am excited that others are finding out
what we have known for years.”....

topping iTunes ® Christian Chart at No. 1. Produced by Paul
Ebersold (3 Doors Down, Saliva, Sister Hazel, Skillet) the band already has
three No. 1 singles on Christian Rock Radio: “Crash,” “Fading”and “Desperate”
and their title-track was featured on WWE’s Hardy History Montage a Brother vs.
Brother WrestleMania preview. Fans were introduced to Decyfer Down in
2006 with their debut album, “End of Grey,” which garnered four No.1 hit and
had a top 10 song at WARQ in Columbia, SC, a mainstream Alternative Rock
station. “Fight Like This” was also the band’s fourth consecutive No.1
Christian Rock single, and was heard by millions in a special promo promoting
an Ultimate Fighting Championship title fight. Also from their debut
album, “Break Free” was played during some of the most watched sports games of
the year and heard by over 9 million sports fanatics through website and
television views. The rock band has found itself playing with mainstream
rockers like Cold, Puddle of Mudd, Breaking Benjamin, Theory of a Dead Man,
Pillar, Thousand Foot Krutch, Red and more. www.decyferdown.com

Current mood: accomplished
Hey guys, Chris here from DD.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We have lots to be
thankful for! Our trip getting home was quite interesting I would have to say
though. It all starts last Sunday night with the bus ride to the airport. After
our show, we had about an 8 hour trip through the night to Tulsa, Oklahoma,
where we would then catch our flights back home…when all of the sudden a loud
smash. It seems that the bus was stuck in the middle of the road after it
bottomed out driving out of a parking lot. Of course this has to happen the
night we have a plane to catch...Anyway, 8 state troopers directing traffic, 2
tow trucks, 2 blood pressure pills, and 3 and a half hours later, we were back
on our way. We all missed our flights
BUT…the airline put us on the later one..in which was almost missed as well.
There was a mess up in the flight times and while sitting at an airport restaurant…
we all of the sudden hear all of our names being called over the intercom saying,
“You have 3 minutes to get to your gate and then we are closing the door. So
imagine.. T.J., Glen, Brandon and I sprinting through the airport. Carl Lewis
style…without the speed. The crazy part is that Brandon was in a wheelchair..so
here I am running/pushing him as fast as I can, the wheels were shaking, dreads
were flying and he was yelling “Dude don’t kill me”!!! It’s a miracle Brandon
wasn’t hurled out of chair. Im sure to all of the bystanders, we looked like 4
homeless people running from the police because we just stole a wheelchair. We
did make the flight though…only to land in NC and find out that the airline
lost our luggage. Did you ever see Plains, Trains and Automobiles? It’s the
worst feeling when at the end of the night, all you want to do is get your
luggage and go home but you cant…because you sit there desperately waiting for
your bag to come around on the belt…and it never does. The only bag left on the
belt is that one bag that already circled 200 times that no one is claiming…but
its not yours..because yours ended up in Phoenix. Lovely. From the airport we
had about a 3 hour drive down to the coast where we live. Our wives were sweet
enough to come and pick us up. So,
we finally make it to Brandon’s house……..its cold, very late, and we are all
exhausted. My wife and I get into my truck to make the last ride to our house
when all of the sudden…..thud.. thud… thud…..we have a flat tire. We pull into an empty lot to try and
change it out. After 30 minutes of trying get the spare out…its not happening.
I don’t have the right tools. Its getting comical by this point. My gracious
dad ended up having to crawl out of bed to come and pick us up. He couldn’t
help but get a kick out of all of the things that had happened. I guess at the
end of the day after its all over..it is quite funny. But, God is good because
we made it home in time for Thanksgiving!
Thanks again for your support ! - chris

Current mood: thankful
Hey Guys ! I'm here in Oklahoma today eating an awesome Thanksgiving dinner and watching some football !!..... As i sit here i'm so thankful for the past year and for all your support ! This has been such a huge year for DD and we could not have done this without you !
There have been many incredible things that God has done for us this year ,but the biggest thing was that my wife was healed from Cancer! I pray that you use this day to connect with your loved ones and give thanks for the small things . We have seen a huge response to "Crash" and have seen hundreds of emails of how it has impacted your life ! We in DD only pray that your life will be changed and that you will have a better walk with your creator.
This has been a very trying and difficult year for many of us, but i want to encourage you and let you know that no matter how "dark" your path gets...focus on God's "lamp to light your path" ....remember that that lamp sometimes only gives you one step at a time so don't worry about what direction you're headed .....follow your Savior.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving !
- Josh and the DD family

Current mood: blessed
Hello to all! Chris here dropping in for an update in the DD world. We are about 8 shows into the "Awake & Alive" tour and it's going great so far. We just wrapped up our weekend run in New England and are enjoying a day off. Thank you to everyone that came out to the shows! You guys are amazing! Josh and I had our wives fly out for the weekend so we did the tourist thing in between shows. If any of you have ever been to NYC and seen those annoying, loud boats on wheels driving out of control through the streets of Manhattan.....that would be us. It's called the 'Duck Tour". As cheesy as it sounds..it's actually pretty interesting. The guide was a seasoned NYC resident that filled us in on tons of facts about the city. He took us through the city and out on the Hudson River..which by the way was cool but the typhoon we were battling was not. ha. Anyway I would recommend it to anyone that visits New York. Mass was great too. Awesome venue and fans! I would have to say though that Philly is the favorite. Not only is the Cheesesteak amazing but the city is great too. We all spent part of the day down on South street (The historical part of town) which is loaded down with the best restaurants, parks, and cool shops. It's the city with a small town affect. So once again thank you and much love to our east coast friends and family for coming out and supporting us!! Take Care!!
- Chris

Hello friends,
I hope all is well! We are doing great here in the land of DecyferDown. We
just got back home from Texas this weekend and I must say..it was an
interesting one. We flew into San Angelo friday night around 10 pm...which
isnt that bad when looked at on paper. It became nauseating when we walked
to our terminal only to find our plane.. that looked like it was built in
the 1960's by two ten year old's. Have you ever seen any of the Indiana
Jones movies? Yeah..a prop plane, old propellars, duct tape, not cool. Not
too mention the series of violent thunder storms we were about to fly
through to get there. It was pretty intense i must say. It felt like a
roller coaster ride...VERY bumpy, lots of drops...lots of questionable
movements resulting in vomit bag preparation. People were having panic
attacks..it was fun. I dont think i have prayed that hard since we lost
our van brakes coming down the mountains in Southern Cal. But that makes
for another story at another time. Anyway, it was a great weekend, minus
being 20,000 feet in the air in a pack of gum. Texas rocked as usual. As
for now, DD is gearing up for the fall tour with Skillet!! This is going
to be a great tour so we hope to see all of you there!!
-Chris
