After 4+ months of hibernating Glass Elevator will be playing its first concert in Olympia of 2009 at the 4th Ave Tav on Friday February 21.
It's going to be us and Brownstar and it's going to be awesome.
Don't miss it!

Hello everyone. We've been somewhat elusive in the last months of 2008 what with campaigning for McCain and buying plastic Santa Claus figurines and all... But we hope to make that up to you in 2009. As you may well know we are currently laying down the foundation for our first official album entitled Psychedelic BattleshipWe're nearly done with bed tracks and soon we will be mixing. Keep your eyes peeled, it should actually exist in the spring. Until then, however, we've been working on new songs and laying the groundwork for the next album... But when do we get to see Glass Elevator live again?I'm glad you asked. We'll be playing our first show of 2009 on Sunday January 18 in Seattle at a club called the Comet. We'll be playing with a fantastic 8-piece funk/soul outfit called Eldridge Gravy and the Court Supreme. We'll also be playing with the Resets and Thee Satisfaction. We'll be closing the show, but don't let that be an excuse to show up late. Let's turn the beat around. Show up fashionably early and purchase many drinks from the bar. Also bring your friends as well as your enemies. With the New Year comes a fresh start. I've heard that the Comet is the perfect place for company outings and corporate retreats. Bring the whole office! Nothing will get a team working together more smoothly than a night of drinking in a rock club in Seattle! But don't take my word for it... see for yourself on Sunday January 18, 2009! Sunday January 18, 2009

"What can I do?" you ask?
What you can do for us is write a review of Glass Elevator that we can use for our myspace page, our website (coming soon), and elsewhere. It can be as long or as short as you feel if you even feel like doing it at all.
As you may or may not know Glass Elevator is in the process of booking a Summer West Coast Tour to support our upcoming album "Psychedelic Battleship" and reviews make us look more important than we really are. Clubs and promoters eat that shit up. Especially in California where the lines between real life and reality TV are so blurred that you're never quite sure whether or not you are talking to a commercial. Anything and everything helps.
Fake it till you make it, baby!
Love,
Glass Elevator

It' a question you might be wondering.
Since October 10 we've been locked in our studio tirelessly laying bed tracks for our upcoming first official full-length album thus entitled "Psychedelic Battleship". It's 9 songs and 50+ minutes of high-fidelity face-melting psychedelia. It's exactly what you've been waiting for all these years.
We've still got a way to go before it's done, but soon you'll be able to hear some sneak-preview/preliminary mixes right here at our myspace site. You can expect Psychedelic Battleship to be released sometime in spring 2009.
Q: Do I really have to wait that long to pay for it?
A: Absolutely not. If you'd like to reserve your copy of the Special Edition of Psychedelic Battleship contact us now. The CD will cost $10 plus shipping and handling. If you don't want to bother with the hardcopy digital downloads will be available through myspace and our (soon to be up and running) website.
Those that fork over the dough will have priority, but if you want to reserve one without a cash commitment we'll still take your info and reserve a copy for you.
ALWAYS REMEMBER There will only be 1000 copies of the Special Edition. Once the 1000 are gone they are gone forever, so don't hesitate.
We'll see you soon.
Love, Glass Elevator

In addition to being the Hard Way's album release party, Friday Rocktober 10 will be Glass Elevator's last show in 2008.
The next time we play there will be a new president and we'll have brand new songs. Don't miss your last chance to see Glass Elevator this year.
Love, GE

Last Saturday we played at the Jules Mae Saloon in Georgetown. Lucky Cat Promotions put the show together so we were glad to do it. The only thing was that it was going on opposite the Seattle Block Party. In essence that meant that everyone in Seattle had a choice either to see all of their favorite local acts, or us. Seattle chose their own on this one.
That isn't to say it wasn't a good show...
The Transport Assembly got themselves a drummer and he's real good. They sounded way better, and they were good the last time.
Then there was Sandman. Wow! I'd heard of him but I had no idea. This dude was the real deal. Authentic as fuck. His set consisted of about half rap songs and half country numbers. The rap songs were cool, but I really dug the country numbers. There is no way to accurately describe it. You have to see for yourself.

On July 18th we played the main stage at Lakefair. Not only was it the first time we played Lakefair, it was the first time any of us (having lived in Olympia for almost 10 years) had ever even been to it.
We went on around 7:30 and it was awesome despite the fact that it was the first summer day without sunshine in three plus weeks.
Props for Beth at the 97.7 the Eagle for putting the whole thing together. She did a great job and a whole lot of work. It was far and away the most professional and efficient show we've ever played. It felt great to play outside on a big stage with professional gear, and it felt great to be treated like a professional, and it WAS great to get paid. We probably played to more people than we ever have. We want to do things like this way more often.
Also, we met one of the guys from the Kingsmen (you know, Louie Louie?). His name was Mike and he was a great guy. He told us some stories from way back in the day and pointed out the ironic fact that after 40+ years of pounding the pavement his band is still hauling their own gear. Ah, the glitz and glamor of being in a rock band!

You may have noticed a couple new songs.
These aren't the finished product, but a sneak preview of what's to come this next summer. The new songs were recorded live during a practice with one microphone in the room. We think they sound pretty good considering.
We hope you like them and hope to see you at our upcoming shows!
Love,
Glass Elevator

On Sunday, September 30, 2007 Glass Elevator will be performing its last show for quite some time. We've gone through some lineup changes and are revamping the band. We'll most likely absolve Glass Elevator and reform with a new name and new songs. Our plan is to write and perfect some ideas we've got bouncing around in our respective heads, then record an album. We don't know how long this will take, but we'll probably be invisible for the better part of six months.
We're very grateful for all the support and positive feedback we've received this summer. Please be patient and bear with us. We aren't going away, just regrouping. You have our solemn oath that when we do return the music will be even better.
If you can make it to the show on Sunday that would be super awesome. The bands are great, and it's for a great cause. (A good friend of ours received a heart transplant and is trying to give back.) And, for all you 8:30 to 5:30 with an unpaid lunchers, the show starts early. (5:30 pm)
We really hope to see you there, but if we don't we'll see you in 2008!
Love,
Glass Elevator

Last Thursday (September 13, 2007) Glass Elevator played its first show in Olympia in over a full year. It was a tremendous success. All the bands were fantastic and the Voyeur was filled beyond capacity. We'd just like to take the time to thank each and every one of you that came to see us. We work hard trying to make the best music we can and it really feels good to know that people appreciate all the hard work and effort we put into making Glass Elevator the best band it can be. Judging by the response of the large crowd it would seem like the people of Olympia like our band. That makes us very happy and very grateful. Thank you all.
Much love,
Glass Elevator
