More fantastic news! Seven bunnies have been adopted at our last two adoption showcases!
Cali, Autumn, Jellybean, Felix, Madeline, Fabulous and Raspberry are off to their furever homes!
This is a double-whammy post, though! We also have a FREE and EASY way you can help The Rabbit Haven! The Animal Rescue Site is hosting a special challenge for eligible Petfinder.com member shelter and rescue groups. The grand prize is a $25,000 grant, and they will be awarding many other grants to rescue groups with the most votes — a total of $100,000 in grants for animal welfare organizations.

Vote for us at The Animal Rescue Site and we could win $25,000 to help bunnies in need. Just search for "The Rabbit Haven" in California and vote! It's really easy! Help us win! All you have to do is click to help rescued animals, and then vote in The Animal Rescue Site $100,000 Shelter+ Challenge. Both of these actions are absolutely free! You can vote once a day, every day, from September 29 through December 14, 2008. Every time you vote, or tell a friend to vote, you are making a huge difference for us.

This mom and her babies have been rescued by The Rabbit Haven! They are safe now, but we have just discovered that the mother bunny is pregnant, and will probably have another litter in the next few days. Once this second litter is born, the mother will stop nursing the older babies and we will have to find adopters and new foster homes for them. We will also have to pay for spay/neuter and medical expenses for all of the babies until they are adopted. If you can provide a home for these babies, please contact Heather at 831-239-7119 or director@therabbithaven.org. If you wish to make a cash contribution to help with their care, you can donate using PayPal or by check.



This super sweet mother escaped certain death at a meat shop and now needs rescue from the shelter where she was taken. Please look at their pictures and think what you might be able to do to help. Contact us immediately please, she has only two days left at the shelter. We need rescue or adoption for her and her babies, cash for her spay and medical care, and alfalfa hay to keep them fed. They need a space to live. You can find out about how to donate on our donations page. You can also watch the video of the babies!
