I think artists are tired of dealing with half assed producers who just
pump out music for a quick buck. That's why I've been giving more to
artists with my free hip hop instrumentals at http://www.ohhbhav.com.
I offer people FREE beats, and I provide artists information to succeed
with their music. A lot of people don't properly know how to promote
their music. The information and instrumentals on Ohhbhav.com will keep
Hip Hop Alive.

I'm growing a community and have very big plans for the future. Things
are looking real good for my company with 5,000 people on my mailing
list and still growing. The reason people don't follow their passion is
because society doesn't approve of it. Most people who try to follow
their passion give up in the end because they don't know where to go.
There's no instruction manual on how to progress in your own journey.

Being a musician can be stressful because you're going against the
odds. I provide a service for hip hop artists that no other producer
does. I'm building a community where musicians can finally unite and
work together. Many other businesses do it so why doesn't the music
business?

At ohhbhav.com I provide hip hop instrumentals, information to move
forward in your passion and a community of people who can help each
other succeed. Visit today to get your 100% free rap beats at http://www.ohhbhav.com

Ok now that I got your attention.

In "The Great Depression" more millionaires were created then any other time in history. So being "SCARED" is probably the WORST reaction you could make in our situation.

I need to get this off my chest. I am ashamed of some people as I'm watching youtube videos. This one guy said that the only reason people like Bill Gates succeed is because of LUCK and if our country moved towards socialism it would be a better place.

Please value what you have. Capitalism is the most beautiful thing you could ever want. We have the power to choose our own destiny and become incredible people. Enough with the scarcity mentality... we ALL can be successful if we put our minds to it.

I don't care what color, race or religion you are. It's the 21st century and you can do whatever you like if you put your mind to it.

I see people pray for the government to take care of them and it's wrong. The more dependent we are the more freedom we lose. With Freedom comes responsibility.

We all want to move out of our parents house at a certain age right? So why do we want the government to take care of us? So they can call the shots?

I'd rather be more responsible and have freedom rather then let the government wipe my ass and tell me what to do.

It's 2009. Keep following your dreams and pursuing your passion. That's what God wants us to do.

Feel free to sign up to my mailing list at http://www.ohhbhav.com

If you're an artist, producer or just somebody who wants to succeed in life this will definitely help you. EDUCATE yourself.

Alright preaching mode off.

Nice talk everybody

A lot of people say that Hip Hop is dying. I totally disagree. Hip Hop has grown so much a lot of hard core fans tend to hate on some of the new ways Hip Hop music branched out. I believe that the growth of Hip Hop is actually keeping the art form ALIVE.
If you look into the history of music you notice that some art forms have died out such as Blues and Jazz. Then you notice that Rock Music has stayed with us forever and it doesn't look like it will be leaving us any time soon. Why has Rock stayed with us? Because Rock evolved and branched out just like Hip Hop is doing today. You have so many different types of Rock music it's ridiculous.
So maybe Soulja Boy is selling ring tones and appealing to the younger artists. I don't bump Soulja Boy myself but should we respect what he's doing? I think so. Soulja Boy managed to appeal to a new audience and bring them into the Hip Hop genre. Think of it this way... Soulja Boy brings in a new audience for Hip Hop music, making the hip hop community grow bigger. Don't you think these Soulja Boy fans might end up buying a Jay-Z album, Nas album or even YOUR album in the future? Now I know a lot of people who like his music download ring tones and they may just listen to "Crank Dat" because it's a trend but I'm sure there's a lot of kids who would dig deeper into the genre to listen to more music. I'm sure you all have that ONE artist who got your interested in Hip Hop.
Hip Hop has gotten to the point where we have people doing dance records, auto tune love song etc... but so what? Does "Real" Hip Hop still exist? Yes. I think coming up in the Hip Hop game is A LOT easier than it was 5 years ago. People often complain that "real" hip hop doesn't sell anymore but I think it all depends on your hustle. If you build up your own fan base and create a buzz you will definitely get signed to a label. Labels don't want to take chance anymore because THEY DON'T HAVE TO! but guess what? You don't need to be "magically discovered" by a label anymore either. Now the ball is in your court. I don't give a fuck what kind of music to do... whether it's hardcore underground hip hop or if you invented Fart Music... if you grind and push your product you can easily become successful. I think people spend too much complaining about the state of hip hop rather than adapting. Face it! Things change and it will always change. If you don't adapt you will NEVER be successful!

Over the past few months I've changed a lot for the better... I realized that in order to make something out of myself I would need to make changes in my life style.

I've done a lot of stupid immature shit in the past and even though I'll always be my crazy self I have made a change (if that made any sense to you).

I've started beef with people for no reason.
I almost got a DUI and could have fucked my whole life up.
I've waisted my energy and motivation on people I should have payed no mind to.
I've payed for countless open mic nights but in reality we're all still stuck in the same place.
I've spent so much time putting out CD's and working with other artists but realize I haven't progressed as much as I wanted to.
I've been giving my talent out to people for free while in return people used my kindness for weakness
I've been waisting my time in community college when it simply wasn't for me.
I almost threw a lot of my money away from renting out an apartment

I look back and realize that over the past few years I haven't gone anywhere in life. Do I regret it? No... I've learned so much and every day I get stronger... but now I'm happy because my mind is on a higher level. I've decided to make a huge change in my lifestyle from my health to my wealth.

Honestly I feel more focused then I have ever been and I finally see a clear path to success.

I gave up drinking completely and I actually watch my health. I moved my music more on the production side of things and I have started my own business (Now I'm finally putting my talent to good use). I am buying my first house within the next two months for investment. I don't go out to the club anymore (until I get my shit together) and even though more people are hating on me more than ever I learned how to rise above the haters because they're a waist of my time!

I guarantee I will be self employed before 2010. It's time for me to advance. I don't know who my children are but I want to provide them with everything they need!

I know it's hard to understand what I'm doing... I know some people are mad at me because of this. It's cool though because I do this for me. If you ever need guidance I'll always be here to help. I'm gonna get mine and I can help you get yours too.... but I can't be your motivation because I need that for myself.

My advice to everybody is that if you feel deep inside that something is holding you back.... eliminate that from your life. Go by your gut feelings and have no regret. Never let anybody hold you back from your dreams and never let anybody's negativity get in the way. If something doesn't work don't be afraid to change. If an obstacle is in your way don't let it stop you.

Us as humans are naturally afraid of change and it takes a lot of courage to make major changes in our lives. I did it and you can do it too. If you feel like your life is on the wrong track change it asap! Stop hesitating.

You only live one life.

Growing up I always loved music... just like any other artist I wanted to be heard. I started producing music and rapping at the same time. I put years and years into my music but I never knew how to promote it.
My name is Brandon Marshall Havener... my stage name is B HAV. I feel that I have been helping artists out for the longest time but a lot of the motivation went to waist. I think many hip hop artists have heard the same story before. I have found so many people out there who want to be "rappers" but who's really in it to win? This was a problem for me. Once I started staying on the production side of music I realized a lot of the people I worked with were not motivated... or even worse a lot of people were trying to take my kindness for weakness.
Just 3 months ago I was driving myself crazy. I did not feel that I was moving forward in life. I was stuck between a rock and a hard place. I'm usually the type of person who knows what he wants out of life and knows exactly where he's going. Surprisingly the current plan I had became stale and I saw no success coming out of it. I would do shows with people locally which was great... I put albums out which was wonderful... but my feeling deep inside was correct. I needed to change my direction. I wanted to fall back from rapping for the time being and produce for artists because that's what I was good at. The problem is I wanted to get my product out to the world. I didn't want to be like any online producer who just sells his beats because I felt that my talent would go to waist. I wanted to make hit songs with artists I actually liked, I wanted to create magic. I wanted to be a producer not just a "beat maker".
So after a while I read some interesting books on how to start my own business. Honestly my mind has matured rapidly over the past month. I guess you could say that I had a mental growth spurt. My whole logic changed. Instead of me just "making beats" I decided to work on an Entity. What if I could reach the masses and give people beats for a good price? Not only that... what if I could help mold these artists over a NETWORK? Sure I can give them hot beats... but what if I went the extra mile and gave them information to be successful. What if I gave these artists the extra motivation they need to succeed? I was always the "motivator". I was always the person who took hip hop to the next level and had an impact on my peers. What if I could get that across to more people? So I decided to do just that with my website.
I think it's a win win situation if I am helping the artist and the artist is helping me out. Right? It would be nice if we could all be "winners". If we all have the right amount of motivation we can all do just that! Once I put my idea in motion I shut down my studio and I hid in my bat cave for a month thinking of a plan. Now you get what you see today. A community in the making! I am making the most important hip hop community to date... I think everybody can benefit from this (even other producers). So I'm sure a lot of my peers might think I'm insane or I have lost it because all of a sudden I shut down the studio and hibernated. I think soon they will see exactly what I was seeing. This community has no room for slackers... motivation is the key! So enter the website if you dare. Join the community if you think you can make the best of yourself. Either you go hard... or go home!

people do shit like this!

by anomynous female from honesty box:

"grow the fuck up and stop trying to start shit with people who don't even care about your exsistance anymore. and this winner shit just makes you a complete and utter douche bag. go get hit by a car =]"

Nobody gives a fuck about my existance anymore. Could have fooled me! I guess this comment is just supposed to throw me off into thinking you give a fuck about my existance so you can blind side me with a surprise attack?

Not really sure what the logic was. Yes I am a winner and only winner's can understand my "winner shit". I'm sorry that you're outside of the circle.

You hope I get hit by a car? Well i hope you get hit by a bus and everybody on the bus gets out and stomps the shit out of you for being dumb enough to walk across a highway.

I'm out.

Peace and Love
B HAV.
