We are very sad to announce that Interlock's slot on the Rock stage at Offset this Saturday will be the band's final live show Due to various pressures within the band, a decision has been made to disband Interlock straight after the performance We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every person for their continued support over the years. The Interlock road has been a long and interesting one. We have met some amazing people on the way and will remember many. The bands, the musicians, the Interlock Armies, the friends, the promoters, the magazines and zines, radio stations, venues, endorsers and of course, most importantly, the fans; those guys that have followed our exploits, van and mad ramblings. Those that have housed us, fed us and saved our arses when we've needed you most. Thank you for screaming along to our music for this long. Now you can rest your larynx We hope that our music has given the listeners half as much pleasure as it has given the band over the years. No doubt various members of Interlock will be continuing in other projects in the future, so please check the bands official myspace page www.myspace.com/interlock for updates and announcements Interlock has left the building... Thank you and goodnight Hal, Mart, Christina, Joe, Syan and John p.s. anyone wishing to catch the set at Offset can buy day tickets from the Offset Festival website here

NEW TRACKS / UK FESTIVAL DATE / NEW DRUMKIT PICS / TOUR SHIRTS / VIDEOS
NEW TRACKSanother installment of demo samples from the new album 'parasite' is now upon you. firstly we have the epic, crushing-chord heavy, kodo drum-filled track 'screaming underwater' and the balls-to-the-wall roar-athon that is 'cataclysm'. both are on the myspace & youtube pages and are not only open to ratings but downloadable too. and remember - if you're hearing it now, it's because the street teams were given it first. p0wned.

UK FESTIVAL DATE - OFFSETstrawberries & cream, dark satanic mills, katie price - england, we have not forgotten you and never will. after the long, hard wait we're as relieved to confirm it as you are to hear of it: a UK date for 2008 before we set off for the US tour.

the offset festival has evolved from its previous incarnation (TMF) to become a blistering 2 day sun-soaked extravaganza, complete with 3 stages and now held in essex's hainault forest. following the success of interlock's appearance at the 2005 TMF, we're back on the bill and ready to punish so bring your teepees, bring your tipple and tiptoe down to total destruction to hear the new album before the americans do:
date: saturday august 30th 2008 venue: rock stage, offset festival, hainault forest, essex

NEW MAPEX DRUMKIT PICSas potentially the biggest erection interlock has ever sported, joe's new custom drumkit courtesy of his recent endorsement with mapex drums has earned its title 'the leviathan'. already shortened to 'the lev' by certain crass geordies, the stunning collection of saturn series shells currently holds the monicker of being the largest ever designed in mapex EU history to be played as one singular kit. as a sneak preview from the forthcoming podcast covering its arrival and setup, take a look at the monster being prepared just before leaving the warehouse:

TOUR SHIRTSdo people like free stuff? does the pope shit in a catholic wood? you just don't know what you're missing.

the 'trans-atlantic tour 2007' shirt is still on sale but won't be forever, and with it the special offer of a pack containing previously unreleased tracks, videos & exclusive media. in many cases this will be the only chance anyone will have to hear these tunes. now ask yourself, at only $20 that goes straight to funding the forthcoming tours can you really, really afford not to get this? see the bio section of myspace page for purchase details.
---------
VIDEOShaving heard us, and with the offer of tasting us reserved for the next tour, the only thing you've got left to do is watch us. if you subscribe to our youtube page, you can make sure you can be some of the first to.

in these times of politician's promises, children locked in basements and kiss headlining metal festivals (which we could swear are linked) we can stand tall and provide you with something good & proper, true to our word. word. to your mother.
here's the next instalment of the demo samples from the forthcoming 2008 album 'parasite'. this time round, you'll hear examples of the epic, crushing-chord heavy, kodo drum filled track 'screaming underwater' and the balls-to-the-wall screamathon that is 'cataclysm'.
- blocked: add interlock army UK/US/AUS, linked on our myspace, for MP3 link -
have a listen, have a quick 'save link as...' and have a right old fiddle to the new sounds & style of the future of interlock. we're also offering a chance to listen to both tracks, in full, on maz star's show on www.totalrockradio.com from 7pm (GMT) this tuesday june 17th, so be sure to tune in and match us drink for drink.
incidentally, if you haven't already, be sure to email us at interlockarmyUK@gmail.com, interlockarmyUS@gmail.com or interlockarmyAUS@googlemail.com (depending on your continent) to join the mailing list for more chances to hear new stuff.

PODCASTfor those who missed the romping cider-fuelled inforama that was the recent total rock radio interview with maz star, here's your chance to catch up on some more egomania, compulsive buffoonery & tech-talk concerning the imminent release of the next album, 'parasite'.
here in part 1 of a 2 episode blogathon brought to you by eulogy media, we touch on solos, new guitar sounds, alleged absences and the largest custom drumkit that mapex UK have ever made, all shot at berry street studio where the album is currently being recorded. subscribe to the interlock youtube channel and be one of the first to see part 2, not to mention a bevy of other video-based nuggets of marvelosity.
---------
ENDORSEMENTS UPDATEalongside the appearance of our very own bass-mistress syan on the current warwick players poster (not to mention being the only woman on there!) as seen here, we're also rather excited about a certain imminent arrival as mentioned above...
the delivery of joe's new custom kit from mapex, otherwise referred to as the 'arrival of the leviathan', will be documented in full and soon become viewable by all. those in-the-know have forecast that the event will be similar to a cruise ship landing on a garden shed. just a lot louder. we will also now be keeping with this newly established tradition of naming various occurrences in the style of death metal album titles, just as soon as we're done 'unleashing our molten fury upon the faces of mourning angels' after breakfast.
---------
WEDDINGimperial war marches? explosions? it could only be an interlock wedding. we'd like to extend our sincere congratulations to alan & jennifer ann 'oh didn't alan tell you there was a drinks fridge in the garage?' luckett who tied the knot recently.
pictures: the happy couple, the lucketts lead the first mosh, the metal contingent of the wedding
the peculiarly short-haired alan of LCM events has been interlock's tour manager & live sound engineer now since early 2007, pulling the band into gear and coordinating live shows in a fashion that has caused shock, awe & blunt force trauma (and that's just the band members). kudos goes to the man capable not only of organising pyros at his own 'big day' but also for issuing laminates to all involved, including the luckett lady.
as overjoyed as we are to see our alan take his vows, we must fear for jenn in some respects and advise she keeps a tight reign, since past exploits have gone far to prove that he has a taste for young, long-haired chaps in metal bands as proven by mini-hal & maxi-joe here.

cunningly concealed like a toupee in a merkin shop, the new album demo track samples have been floating about the inter-webz & forums with their cloaking devices engaged for a week or so. those nifty enough to have traced their location (or, simply, to have joined either of the 3 street teams for a live link) will have sniffed the taste of things to come. samples as they are though, we now present you with the promise of the money shot, the full monty, the upskirt nipple-tastic birthday suit bonanza…
we will be playing full length demo versions of the songs 'timelines' & 'singularity' from the forthcoming album 'parasite' tomorrow (tuesday may 13th) from 7pm onwards on total rock radio.
(click on pic to visit website)
interlock's vocal department, hal & christina, will be appearing on maz's show to provide this exclusive opportunity to hear the advance promos of this new material. after that point though, neither of these tunes will be available to hear as full tracks until the album versions are released later in the year, so it'll be a long, quiet summer if you miss this one!
look out also for news on the latest developments for 2008 tour dates (worldwide), merch & other assorted fact-nuggetoids.
…well, it'll beat sitting at home trying to lick your own elbow.

some might say we've been in hibernation for a little longer than just the winter, and they'd possibly be right. we've had our reasons (some of them obvious) and doubtless they'll become apparent in good time, but after having pushed as many nuts as we can into our own faces, retreated to our cave and ingested our own tails for warmth, we've felt the change of season and woken like the angry bear of… ok, enough of the wildlife analogy. we've got some new shit:
NEW MYSPACE PAGEso we've done a touch of spring cleaning to produce something altogether more dirty and sick looking. behold: the new theme running up to the release of our forthcoming album 'parasite', and we can safely say that the look matches the sound. you'll find out how to prove that soon enough, but until then feast your eyes on our filthy wee microscopic beasties and bits-biting bed-bugs. they want to munch on your nasties, much like us.
---------
NEW VIDEOa long time coming? damn right, but in keeping with the release of the new version of 2005's 'straight' for download (via the myspace song player) featuring christina gajny, we just couldn't hold off any longer with this one.
STRAIGHT
click to download onMPEG4made in march last year literally days before interlock performed the first date of the trans-atlantic tour 2007, it was filmed & directed by phil knock and (ironically) our very own mart anthony prior to him being drafted into the band itself. mart then dealt with editing & post production himself whilst also ruthlessly abusing all remaining hours of the day to learn the tour's setlist to join us on the UK leg. since he set this precedent of multi-tasking, we've come to expect him to perform random tasks of insane coordination, such as playing lead parts on the new album whilst living with the crushing guilt of really, really liking avril lavigne. he never ceases to amaze us.
the video file is now up on youtube & myspace and is shortly also to be available to download across several formats including ipods. if you like what you see, remember to let us know on the comments and / or ratings section.
---------
NEW SHIRTSdown comes the music industry façade, and with it the middle man - we've finally cut our way through the crap to present you with a guarantee that now what you buy from interlock, funds interlock. if you liked what you saw last time around or simply missed the circus when it came to town and want to make sure you have another chance, well here's how…
INTERLOCK TRANS-ATLANTIC TOUR 2007 T-SHIRT (proceeds fund 2008 international tour directly)
price: $20 shipping: $6 US / $12 international available now from juan john productions - the interlock army 'trans-atlantic tour 2007' commemorative shirt. this new design lists all of the extensive dates undertaken by the band last summer, spanning both the US, UK & europe, providing a fitting example of what's to come with this year's dates.
to lift the lid on the process; in buying this shirt your purchase will go towards flight costs, tourbus rental, accommodation and all the expenses that will keep the band on the road, in the black and on the up when we begin the next international tour in september this year. this means you'll be making sure you're one of the first to preview the blistering new sound from the forthcoming album 'parasite' performed live and to see the band up close & personal with their new look & lineup.
---------
NEW TUNES?demo versions of songs from the next album are out there to download… somewhere. the street teams now know how to find them, you'd do well to add yourself.
however, if simply clicking below on the relevant team's page is too much for you, there is another way. we'll be appearing on maz star's show in a week's time to premiere full length demo versions of 2 new songs from 'parasite'. this is obviously a pretty exclusive preview, so it's not one to miss.
date: tuesday may 13th 2008 time: 7pm onwards show: 'the danger zone' with maz star, www.totalrockradio.com

behold, the first in what will be a steady stream of interlock instructional videos created as we record our second album. fear our solemn art, harvest our collective ability to magnetise an entire pylon simply by walking round it the wrong way, fear our awesome skill of tearing a phone directory in half using only our eyebrows, learn how to eat 3 double chocolate hobnobs in one go...
the crushing, colon-quiveringly heavy tone you hear in this video is in fact a fine example of that which will be heard on the forthcoming album. can't hear the tone? hearing only a scratching sound with a hint of note? this may be because your country's government has censored the video's audio stream in an act of mercy. you see, we've been A / B testing the tone against such sources as the sound of a bison flexing its horns in an empty car park, 3 mountains and jean claude van damme's tumble dryer. we did attempt to bring an outside opinion into the picture on the evening of saturday february 9th, but the resulting explosion sparked a fire that destroyed a third of london's camden town market.
interlock too heavy for the likes of you

as the yuletide season beckons, we batten down the hatches, stock up on night vision cameras and keep an assortment of 'pokers' facing upwards at the chimney's hearth for santa's descent...
...and what better fireside distraction could you & your family enjoy than filling out the annual terrorizer magazine reader's poll? imagine tiny tim's tears of joy as he enters his favourite london-based metal band's name in yet another category whilst mother adds one more mil of morphine to his intravenous drip. and so in the spirit of another of britain's greatest traditions - winning - we humbly threaten you into casting your mind back over the last year and towards what undoubtedly rocked your rubberised, wipe-clean socks off: interlock.
did the band's performance during the 'trans-atlantic tour 2007' use your face as a mosh-pit-mop? [best live act]. did hal or christina not use their teeth this time? [most shaggable artist]. did john use your nipple as a plectrum just when you most expected it? [best musician]. did mart not even vaguely smile after you stormed his hotel bed with 2 bags of prawn crackers? [most evil person]. or did you just plain love the living s**t out of us? [best band].
either which way, should we feature favourably in the results, we personally guarantee that we will decrease emissions by 5.3%, promote equality for homosexual pets & kiss literally hundreds of rooms full of babies to prove us worthy of your bid.
every vote counts, ladies & gentlemen. children are dying. vote interlock, HERE.
