Now until October 22nd you can get a free eBook of Sarah Langan's superb debut THE KEEPER. Available at online retailers including Barnes & Noble, Sony, and Amazon. And don't forget to check out Sarah's latest, AUDREY'S DOOR, on sale tomorrow! This is what Booklist had to say:
“Langan’s The Keeper (2006) garnered a Bram Stoker Award nomination, and its sequel, The Missing (2007), favorable comparisons of her to horror fiction’s most established authors. Now she offers an even better, finely crafted character study...Langan’s idiosyncratic blending of supernatural horror and character-driven, psychological insight proves captivating and pleasurably bone-chilling.”

Brom's first full-length novel, THE CHILD THIEF, goes on-sale 8/25, and we're having a contest to celebrate! Peter is quick, daring, and full of mischief—and like all boys, he loves to play, though his games often end in blood. His eyes are sparkling gold, and when he graces you with his smile you are his friend for life. He appears to lonely, lost children—the broken, hopeless, and sexually abused—promising to take them to a secret place of great adventure, where magic is alive, and you never grow old. But his promised land is definitely not Neverland.
Brom's well-known for his dark fantasy art, and THE CHILD THIEF takes his vision from art into print, with a unsettling and wonderful look at the grimmer side of the boy who would never grow up. 8 full-color portraits and black-and-white chapter illustrations peel back the veil as well. This dark retelling of Peter Pan is definitely not for kids, but is both a personal favorite and a house favorite. And we're not the only ones--Kim Harrison, Holly Black and Christopher Golden all love it too!
To celebrate, we're offering a chance to win one of 3 original sketches or a signed print from THE CHILD THIEF. You can read some of THE CHILD THIEF. Then enter the contest at www.thechildthief.com.

"How a book this dark can be this much fun to read is just one of many amazing things about Sandman Slim. ... Omens meets Raymond Chandler!" --Carol Schneck, Schuler Books & Music, Okemos, MI Other praise for SANDMAN SLIM:
“If Simon R. Green wrote an episode of Dog the Bounty Hunter, it would read much like SANDMAN SLIM – violent, vivid, non-stop action of the supernatural kind. I couldn’t put it down.” -- Charlaine Harris
"The best B movie I’ve read in at least twenty years. An addictively satisfying, deeply amusing, dirty-ass masterpiece, SANDMAN SLIM swerves hell-bent through our culture’s impacted gridlock of genres…it’s like watching Sergio Leone and Clive Barker co-direct from a script by Jim Thompson and S. Clay Wilson." — William Gibson
"Nicotine and octane in equal parts might come close to the high-energy buzz from Richard Kadrey’s SANDMAN SLIM. Crisp world building, recognizable and fully-realized characters, and a refreshingly unique storytelling style make for an absorbing read. Sandman Slim is my kind of hero." — Kim Harrison
"The most hard-boiled piece of supernatural fiction I've ever had the pleasure of reading. ... I loved this book and all its screwed-up people." -- Cory Doctorow

Richard Kadrey, the author of SANDMAN SLIM, has written a great essay about his relationship with the Devil. It's a must read, as is his fantastic book. On sale July 21st!
Supernatural fantasy has a new antihero.
Life sucks, and then you die. Or, if you’re James Stark, you spend eleven years in Hell as a hitman before finally escaping, only to land back in the hell-on-earth that is Los Angeles.
Now Stark’s back, and ready for revenge. And absolution, and maybe even love. But when his first stop saddles him with an abusive talking head, Stark discovers that the road to absolution and revenge is much longer than you’d expect, and both Heaven and Hell have their own ideas for his future.
Resurrection sucks. Saving the world is worse.
Darkly twisted, irreverent, and completely hilarious, Sandman Slim is the breakthrough novel by an acclaimed author.
