We’re very proud to announce that our debut album Identity will be out on the Norwegian label Karisma Records on 27 April!

The 2006 EP Sounds That I Hear was described by Classic Rock Magazine as “prog at its most chilled, honeyed and soothing”, and the following EP Safetree includes several live favourites such as Colours and Steal My Soul.

Now, the album Identity comprises eight songs from these EPs with Airbag’s unique sound of classic progressive rock blended with cinematic soundscapes, epic guitars and strong melodies. A lot of the vocals and guitars have been re-recorded, and the album is remixed from scratch and professionally mastered to bring the sound up to date.

The track-list will be as follows:

Identity will be available in domestic record stores from 27 April and for international orders through our web shop as well as all major digital download stores including iTunes. We recorded our gig in Oslo on November 8th 2008 and will throughout December/January release some of the tracks from that show on our website www.airbagsound.com.

The first song is one of the new ones. Well, it's not entirely new as parts of it have existed for some years, but it has gone through a few changes and there has been added a lot over the years. Anyway, it's a bit difficult to characterize the new song, maybe we can call it a small popsong… no, just kidding! It's an eighteen (yes 18!) minute long song, so it should appeal to you progfans out there, hope you like it!

We are thrilled to announce that Airbag has now signed a record deal with the Norwegian indie label Karisma Records.

The first release will be an album consisting of the EP's "Sounds That I Hear" and "Safetree". The songs are partly re-recorded, they are all remixed and mastered for this release. Watch out for that album early 2009.

Airbag also starts right away to work on album number two. This is planned for release late 2009.

The band are really looking forward to work with Karisma Records....

We are happy to announce that Airbag will be performing live at Gamla in Oslo, Norway on Saturday November 8th.

The band are rehearsing at the moment and will of course be performing songs from the two highly acclaimed EP's "Sounds That I Hear" (2007) and "Safetree" (2008). In addition the band will present a few new songs as well :-)
