I started work on my next album today.

It's going to be a live album from my concerts in Second Life as Mance Moonwall. Some songs from my "Living For Today" album and some that weren't on that album but have been part of my live sets.

I've been recording my concerts for a couple months now using my streaming software (BUTT).

Now I have to go through the recordings and pick which ones to include and do some mastering to make them sound a little better.

Hoping to finish in a couple weeks, but you know how that goes.

I posted a rough take of "You're Leaving Home" on MySpace today. I'll be posting here as the album progresses.

I'm on the radio!!!!!

Nick Gerard at
KJAZZ 88.1 FM  in Long Beach, CA has been playing Homewrecker Blues on his Nothin' But The Blues program!

Pretty cool to have one of my songs being played in the same show as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, Lightnin' Hopkins and the rest!

It's a great show out of Cal State Long Beach hosted by Nick Gerard.

Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM PST

You can listen on the web at JazzAndBlues.org

I also have a "snippet" of the show (along with some very kind words from the DJ) posted at TomBuechi.com

Check it out!

Well, Betty and I finally got to take our trip to Monterey last weekend (It was for our anniversary, but we had to postpone a couple times.

Unfortunately, we had a little mishap on the way up, just past Hearst Castle.

Some guy in a pickup fell asleep and crossed over into our lane. Hitting us on the back side and sending us sliding toward oncoming traffic. I was able to slam on the brakes and change direction but now we were sliding backwards toward the curb. Jumped the curb and tipped over on our side.

Good new is - nobody was hurt (Betty and I are a little sore, but otherwise OK). Bad news is - the car is pretty messed up. They towed it down here to Corona and AAA thinks it can be fixed. The collision shop isn't so optimistic.... But we're alive and well, so much to be grateful for!

We got a rental car the next day and carried on to Pacific Grove (right next to Monterey). It was really nice up there! Our rooms at the Bed and Breakfast had bay windows overlooking Monterey Bay. The Monarch Butterflies were just beginning to come out of their cocoons, way cool!

We had to crawl out the back. Lots of people stopped to help!

My poor car.....

It's kind of hard to see in the photo, but the skid marks at the top
are heading straight towards the other side of the street. And there
were at least 2 cars there!

The Seven Gables Inn in Pacific Grove. Great place!

View from our bay window!

I had to move this guy off the path so he didn't get crunched. He jumped
right up on my finger and didn't want to get off!

View from up the coast a couple blocks.
