finished my assignment to do a talk at hazy moon zen center.  i spoke about music and spirituality and their connection with anecdotes from nyogen senzaki and hazrat inayat khan.  thought it came out ok.  now back to working on drones and textures for the sound library and walking the dog. believe or not, i have a vocal session on sunday. whenever my bud bob mair needs a froggy baritone voice for some song, he calls me.  need to book some gigs for my self.

yo peeps. just finished rehearsing with jen from sleepr wave.  back to working on the movie trailer sound library i'm creating.  good news about getting a song in the new x men film.  very small bit but i'll take it.  back end broadcast royalties should be good. after that, it's back to cranking out industrial strength glitch hop and walking the dog.  peace.

yo, haven't posted any syllables for a while. putting a lot of time on sleepr wave. we did a gig in santa ana @ OCCCA which was great and re-ignited the fire. did another one at mandrake in LA which was technically problematic as far as the vocals. bk bynum did vids which turned out awesome. music was also happening but the PA was not. work to be done on that front.

discovered that my crappy little sony ericson walkman phone can take some dope ass photos including the new profile photo which is set on the "painting" tip. also has panorama which is fresh.

also working on sound library for a film trailer editor. very time consuming and laborious.
got to make money.

yo, just dropped 3 new tracks, "i dropper" "machine" & "gripper bump" on shadow huntaz for possible collaboration. they are, in my opinion, one of the most creative hip hop groups around. if you haven't heard them you should check out "valley of the shadow" or "corrupt data" both are super deep and dope ass and were released through skam in the UK. later.

halfmonk steez = hip hop, breaks, drum&bass, one drop dub step, krunched phrequencies, xTEch gTR, glitchy bumps... on and on, etc., etc., ad nauseum.

yo, to all who are into graff work. a friend otherwise known as novel set up a connection with sorse one to do a piece for halfmonk in coded source studio. sorse formerly of LA came down from oakland and did some serious work on the east wall. check out the photos. one of the best days ever, novel set it up and also consulted on design and color. many of the peeps from the hood dropped by including novel's wife and kid. we had the beats bangin', novel's kid jadyn was pop lockin' and it was dope ass fun. it took sorse about 3 to 4 hours to finish with only one break to eat some dinner. don't know if you ever seen a serious graff artist work but it is some deep shit to watch. all freestyle mad skills with spray cans. props to 33 1/3 for hooking up the montana cans. big ups to sorse one and novel. peace.
