This was in the Dig, Scene Feeder courtesy of Ben Sisto. Check out the source here:

Why Die Young? Do you not desire a long and fruitful career?

I was sample digging and checking out this Armand Van Helden track. He had sampled the old guitarist's (Andy Taylor) from Duran Duran's solo album. The second track is called, "Don't Let Me Die Young." It ended up being a good pop song I wanted to mess with but never got around to. So, in a nerdy round about way, I took my name from that. And yes, I'd love to have a long career ending with my dying old in Florida or somewhere comparably warm.

Who are your favorite musicians operating outside of the United States right now?

2. My two favorite electronic musicians right now are John Dahlbäck who does the Hug stuff on Kompakt. He's only 21, so his age makes me feel better when I feel like a young kid. Another long-time favorite of mine is Sebastian Leger who's touch is on a lot of the harder electro stuff people have been playing lately. His older hard-disco stuff is nasty too.

What's your favorite place in town to dig for records? How about outside Boston? Or are you one of those Final Scratchers? You're not allowed to answer this question with 'Oink'.

Ha, [Elizabeth] Stark (Home Taping) did hook me up with Oink. I've been found out! Everything that's good is taken away. Case in point, I had been buying records at Satellite on Mass Ave since I came to college, but they are gone now. (Although Pat Fontes, the old owner, still hooks me up). I used to get older records at In Your Ear on Comm Ave, but they are gone now too. I mostly buy records online though Turntable Lab. I haven't switched to Final Scratch or Serato yet!
