So I've been online, reading DIY blogs, listening to indie podcasts and just trying to learn about the music buisness in general. I guess I've been trying to find a way to sell my music and gain more exposure. Something about it just doesn't quite feel right.

I've come to the conclusion that this path is completely out of line with my core beliefs and who I think I should be. That is, I have decided to reject the whole treating-art-as-a-buisness capitalistic conformist music-industry mindset. I'm rejecting the idea that since I work really hard on my music and it is valuable, I should be getting money for it. I do not make music for money. I make music merely because I feel like it's what I need to be doing. I'm lucky enough to be able to make rent, pay for groceries and beer and still have a little to spend on recording gear. All of my needs are met. So, why should I want more out of making music?

In addition to having the MP3s freely downloadable on junamusic.net, I've decided to start giving away the remainder of the Cds I had pressed (900 or so) at shows and to anyone that wants them. So if you'd like a copy please send me an email @ jnau12@hotmail.com. Please include your address and have the subject say something like "Juna yesno" so I know you are not spam. I'm happy to pay the postage, but I may add your email to the Juna mailing list (i will discard your physical address and will not share it with anyone). K bye.
