We are soooo happy to share with you our latest review from the January, 2006 issue of the Illinois Entertainer.  Our review from last month was exciting, but to be included in this month's "Best Of Around Hear" for 2005 was almost enough to help us crap our pants.  Not to bad for an album recorded, mixed, and mastered in less than 24 hours.  Mike O'Cull, we definitely owe you a beer (or twenty).

Here is the article found at: http://illinoisentertainer.com/2005/12/30/best-of-around-hear/

Perfect Red fall into the “Most Pleasant Local Surprise” category with their CD, Rebuild The Afterworld. Their sound is rooted in the same soil that sprung Pearl Jam and Guns N’ Roses but is more interesting than either influence. Vocalist Timmm has great pipes and helps push the great band behind him into higher realms, as any good rock singer should. PR gets heavy and smooth in turn and delivers an extremely listenable package of tuneful hard rock. (www.perfectredmusic.com)

hello dearest readers,

A huge thanks to all that made it out to our CD release show at Lakeshore Theatre.  It was great to see & meet so many new people and make so many new friends, aswell as seeing all of our dear longtime friends and fans.

Also, thanks Damon & BlackBox for setting the show up, Escape From Earth, Shades Of Fiction, and new kids on the scene, Sleeper (who were especially awesome), Erica Davis for taking photos to capture it all, www.fearlessradio.com, and Chris Payne/Q101 for the support and advertisement.

Perfect Red started off as a three-piece in 2002 with timmm (vocals, guitar), DJ Gorr (bass), and Tony K. (drums) going by the name VD6. Immediately, they started writing music together, recording, and playing shows. However, they felt as though something was still missing. They found that something when they added an additional guitarist (Billy Keller) to the mix. As a four-piece, they were able to enhance the music and give a new level of energy and mayhem to their live show, and with the new change in line-up, came the new name, Perfect Red. They started gigging non-stop, playing Chicago clubs such as Metro, Double Door & House of Blues with Chicago heroes DISTURBED and PILLAR (Geffen Records) as well as branching out all over the midwest. Their first E.P. titled "a million reasons" gained the band a lot of attention and press while making it's way onto national college radio and Chicago's Q101, 94.7 the zone, and 93.1 WXRT. In late 2004, Billy left the Perfect Red to pursue other projects. With the help of Q101 and friends from the Chicago band Janus, Perfect Red soon gained a new guitarist, Jeff. Jeff's guitar skills are something that go unmatched by most of today's musicians. Basically, he can do anything!!!! Perfect Red has spent the early part of 2005 writing and recording their new full length CD titled ".....rebuild the afterworld" which is scheduled for release in JUNE.
