A recording of Andy and Mark's 2007 appearance on the Paul Franks' Drivetime show on BBC Radio West Midlands has been uploaded on the Myspace player.
Andy and Mark performed two songs acoustically live in the studio - 'Don't Stop Now' (at the time still to be released as the new Crowded House single) and 'Distant Sun'. If you want to skip the waffle and go straight for the tunes, 'Don't Stop Now' is 5 minutes in to the broadcast, and 'Distant Sun' is at 13 minutes.
Worth a listen we think.

"What can we say...  a fab night and we are still on a high!!"... So said Jon and Mary Elmes after the Crowded Out show last friday at the superbly cool Marrs Bar in Worcester.
And talking of heights, on what was indeed a brilliant gig, who will forget the moment when Mark Moran was dismissed from the stage by the rest of the band at the beginning of 'Private Universe' to retrieve his guitar 'bottle' slide from the upstairs balcony?! Luckily he made it back to stage in good time, and the song was saved! (Don't do it again though eh Mark?!)
Cheers to Jasper for opening the night, and Crowded Out return to The Marrs Bar on Saturday September 5th 2009.

Thanks to NZ Society President Helen Campbell and everyone involved with the New Zealand Society 'Waitangi Day' Dinner at the Millennium Hotel in London last Friday evening.
It was great to be invited to play at such a fantastic event - and everyone, including the band, had a ball (excuse the pun). Here's to the next time...

We'll post any reviews/comments we spot for Glastonbudget '08 up here...

"First band of the morning, Crowded House, love the real band, loved the Tribute act. Everywhere You Go, Always Take the Weather With You. God Bless You!" - 'AlfGeorge' - Glastonbudget Forum.

"...On the tribute stage, Beat That, Ded Hot Chilli Peppers, Crowded Out and the Rod Stewart Tribute were amazing! I'll definitely be back next year with a bigger tent and more people!" - 'Sumosoph' - Glastonbudget Forum.

"Has anyone got any footage of 'Crowded Out'? Thought they were great, just a shame they were on first on Sunday when the (always take the) weather rolleyes.gif was at its worse. Decided to give Glastonbury a miss this year but would have loved to have been there to listen to Neil Finn's voice but nevermind. If anyone from Glastonbuget is reading this then please bring Crowded Out back next year but put them on later. Cheers." - Forkhandles - efestivals.co.uk Forum.

Some great pix from Glastonbudget can be viewed here: http://www.awilliamsphotography.co.uk/section107552_143573.html

Can anyone help with any good shots or footage from 'Glastonbudget'??

Thanks to all for coming down to The Musician in Leicester last Thursday. This is definitely our kinda place, and we had a great time. Especially loved playing the two sets - first set stripped down and 'acoustic', and an extended second 'full band' set.

Special thanks to Sarah, Jenny and Terry for making the journey. And cheers Jenny for the 'You Have Dodgy Shoes, Neil!' memories. PRADA, you say...??!!

Typical that Mark's mobile should ring at that time, but with hilarious consequenses!... "Say 'hello' to 'The Wife', Leicester!!"

Hope to be back at The Musician later in the year.

Thanks to EVERYONE for making this weekend's gig at The Hop Pole such an amazing night. It was brilliant to see people from near and (very) far and a relief that the trip to the Midlands was worthwhile for everybody! Great too that we had a few Aussies (and Kiwis!?) in the house celebrating Australia Day!

Special hats off to Battylad for suggesting and orchestrating this 'Afterglow' meet-up/gig. Chuffed for him too that it went so well. Here's to 'Afterglow 2' sometime...?

Cheers All!

Some of you may be interested to know that members of the Crowded House/Finn forum 'Only Talking Sense' and some 'Frenz of the Enz' members have arranged a 'post Crowded House tour' meet up this month, appropriately entitled 'Afterglow'.
The time and place for this 'Afterglow' event is The Hop Pole in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire on Saturday January 26th, where Crowded Out will be performing a full 90min plus set from 9pm. Admission is free, and it happens to be 'Australia Day' too, so expect a few Aussies to turn up!
If you're coming and have any song requests, message the band here and we'll see what we can do!
Hope to see some of you there!
Cheers now

PS! Crowded Out are also in Worcestershire the night before (Jan 25th) at the brilliant Marrs Bar in Worcester itself. So if you're around for the weekend, why not make both shows?!
