April 5th Titail Rock Festival  Beervelde Belgium:

Well we are off to Belgium, we haven’t slept, we go to the border to France and the train to take us there, very weird and astonish how man is so brilliant to build a tunnel under sea from one point to another making a trip 3 times faster, we pass the check point, they check our passports, and we make line to board our bus to the train, before I thought we were driving in the tunnel but no, we board our bus to the train, funny thing, but a clever one, we can get off the van and just go and pee our hearts out, or maybe pop in the name of love, because they have a nice toilet, to be hones I just fell asleep the whole trip, I just woke up every now and then to see enough  to be amazed.

We arrive to France and drive to Belgium, still asleep, we arrive close to Beervelde at 8:00 am, Alex tired of driving all night, understandable, he need it a break and got a room in a Formula 1 hotel, the weirdest and bizarre thing I have ever seen in a Hotel, a room 2 beds, no toilet or shower, just a sink and a TV, the shower is out side for all the floor to use, same the toilet, kind of like a hostel at hotel prices… so some of us sleep in the car, other in the hotel, and we weak up and ready to leave to Beervelde to Titail rock Festival, produced by a group of Christian Scouts in very little tight shorts, it’s a nice.

So we get there we were nicely received by Bert a nice dude who him and his friend showed us around something like a youth center with a football (soccer Field), children and families having beer inside a big ass tent, I love the family life in Belgium noon on a Sunday everyone getting drunk.

They showed us our sleeping quarters, not to bad, one problem NO SHOWER, so a nice girl was nice enough to take us to a gas station where she had arrangements for us to shower, well after a while and nice and clean, we go to the festival, see the back stage cabin filled with goodies, alcohol, beer, and other nice refreshments and we say, thank god it’s time to get a little drunk before the show.

Moy breaks out the acoustics,   invites the other local acts to join him in a jam session, very nice, very nice bands, but the most amazing thing tonight is that we are playing with one of the most influential and important punk band from Belgium FUNERAL DRESS, great band, great guys, can’t wait to see them play.

So the festival starts a lot of people start coming in, at the point before we go on, we were the 2nd to last band on the bill before Funeral Dress, like 3000 people ready to rock, nervous? A little, but ready to rock our hearts out… we start and “Belgium are you ready to ROCK”. That’s all we had to do, great set, great atmosphere, people going crazy like hell, big ass pit, floor shaking, tent sweating, we are in flames tonight, I grab the camera and start filming all the mayhem Belgium has to offer, great town of Beervelde, I go in the audience and just jumped and started crowd surfing, singing in the crowd, almost ripping my clothes off, every one singing, of course “Boys don’t Cry” it was our first time here, we break out some fucking fast tunes to the point all hell broke loose. Belgium thank you so much, it’s our last tune, it’s time to go but we will be back, we promise…. Say Goodbye, great song to finish our set. We get off and people start screaming for more, more, more and more… but we are out of time Funeral Dress is next and it’s time to party like it’s 1999.

We have an extreme drunken night at the bar…. The rest of this story is no suitable for people under 17, so this part is rated R, see you next show…

Saturday April 4th Norwich England:

After a great movie at the hotel and a great night, we are of to Norwich to play the One Up Festival @ the Queen Charlotte. So we drove like 4 hours to get from London to Norwich, we arrive a nice Pub, many bands playing tonight, again with Jaya the Cat great band, and many more like Mouthwash and Random Hand amongst many other playing tonight. Well we do the usual routine of setting up merch and unloading, and suddenly we can’t belive our eyes our good friend Victor drummer from Los Tokadiscos shows up to the show, we knew he was living and working in England but it was so nice so see such a familiar face, after a few beers and some conversation with people coming up to merch it’s time get ready, we go on at 8:00 pm, there is 7 bands before us, we get there and 2 o3 already played, a lot of people at the show, coming in and out, so the Ruined are done with their set, and it’s our turn to rock the hell out of our last show in England. So we set up and less than 5 minutes we are ready to rock like we have never rocked before, so we start with “Para los que ya no estan” some people start dancing, then we go in a little ska with “Justify” then once we hit “Short Fuse” the usual get close and jump so high and hard that we start to shake this motherfucker, man it was awesome, so great start for our last show in England, so after a couple more and we go in to “Boys don’t cry” from the Cure and all hell brakes loose, and in more in to the set suddenly something that in our 12 years of playing around the world  has ever happened, for the first time only in Norwich UK, the only place, the original, no other place has done this, a bunch of people started the first ever Los Kung Fu Monkeys in the Middle of the pit HUMAN PIRAMID, oh yes you read right A HUMAN PIRAMID, oh my God it was awesome, Man Norwich is a great, no not great, a Fantastic Amazing Extraordinary Place to play our last in England. We only had a Half hour set this time so we had to cut it short, we finish with our last song “Say Goodbye”, but people just started chanting “More, more, more, more” so we had to, man thank you so much Norwich, we did a couple more and it was time to call it the night, Thank so much to every one in all of England, Ian at Hidden Talent Booking, all the promote and venues, all the people who came to the shows, new and old fans waiting for years for us to come, thank so you much, we are of to take the Tunnel now, we’ll see you again real soon, CHEERS ENGLAND WE’LL MISS YOU.

Friday April 3rd London England:

Well we arrive to one of the most, mythical, cosmopolitan cities in the world, a dream come true, were a lot of our heroes played and came out of, and we are in London. For 12 years playing music an traveling to here for the first time has made all the nights of hunger, long drives, lack of sleep and money to be in a band all worth it, we go get a glace of Big Ben, The London Bridge, Buckingham Palace, we get a hotel, and we arrive to Camden Town, we are in The Underworld in London. Man after so many years finally we are here, get to walk the streets where legends were made, tonight we are support for an awesome band from the Netherlands/USA Jaya the Cat, great guys we got to chat with them for a while, also me the other support bands the Skints with a punk reggae delight, also Dirty Revolution that reminded me a lot to the Selecter, well we get everything ready, get some great food, fish and ships for me, and the show starts, Bernie was at merch, and I got to meet Ian from Hidden Talent our booking agent in the Uk, very nice dude, let’s see what he says after the show, not much movement at the beginning, the show start I guess almost no one knew us, both bands before us were great, about 500 people inside and it’s out turn to go on, very nervous, legs shaking, catching a big breath before hitting the stage, very scare we start to rock and suddenly we feel very much at home, we start telling people to clap they clap, we start asking them to jump they jump, then we hit to the Cure’s “Boys don’t cry” and it was the icing on the cake, man London is amazing… we get to the end, a good dance tune at the beginning to “Say Goodbye” and the it get’s fast as hell… a great ending to an amazing show, thank you London, we can’t wait to come back… now it’s time for Jaya the Cat. We head back to merch and man we did very well people coming by to buy and ask who we are, and we made some good pals, even the drummer fro Sonic Boom Six a great UK band came over to our both and exchanged emails, cool guy, then after the show, some of us party, some of us to bed and watch Encino Man on the Tele… Good Night

Thursday April 2nd Kettering England:

It’s early we get up Wobbly Bob amazing guys, thank you for the place to sleep, we go pick up the rest of the monkeys, we have our traditional English breakfast and we are on our way to Kettering, we get there early we head out to walk around a little site  seeing, we go in to a record store, very cool a lot of vinyl from Sex Pistols, The Special and other great bands, we go around a shopping mall check out stores, and we go back to Sawyers a great venue, great bar, and a great welcome from Mr. & Mrs. Haynes, we notice that many of great punk bands come play there, like always we feel lucky to be once again in the UK, we do the usual set up, and then they bring out the horror and B-Movies and Richard says enjoy, we have a couple of beers, watch some cool gore films and we are ready for sound check, we have a great Chilly Dinner, and we were mentioned that all the bands get Chilly when cross paths with Sawyers, a good crowd starts coming in, all different types of people it was great, the drinks start going around, and the support band Absolute Genius goes on, great band a little punk, a little ska, a little hip hop, very good. Now it’s our turn, and we are getting pumped, a little cold so we warm up, and we get ready to rock, we go to the first part of the set, and a lot of dancing starts going on, Nicky drops some mics on the way with all the jumping and running around the small stage, we go thru an hour set, it was awesome, just lovely, we finish, people want more, we do a couple more for encore, and Great Success… now let’s start the drinking, we meet everybody, 2 girls, very awesome Scottish/Mexican, they spoke a little Spanish, some great punx and skins, Bernie even got a cool patch from the “Kettering Ska & Reggae Club” from a nice skin at the show, and he explained to me the Skin Head Cartoon on the patch was part of a children’s cereal, very interesting. So the show is over, but not the drinking, Mr. Haynes was so nice to let us stay at the club and bring out some mattresses, blankets,  and heaters, one of our friends at the bar learned a little Spanish “Me Gusta el Pinche Pisto a huevo” from Nicky and Moy, and one thing, the alerted us, if you hear steps, voices or other creepy things don’t worry the place is haunted, Good Night…

Tuesday March 31st Halifax England:

So next morning we drive to Halifax, first we stop for a traditional English breakfast, very nice, buy some refreshments, and we are on our way, we drive a while and finally we arrive to this wonderful town called Halifax, at the OLD COCK, nice venue name, we arrive and have a warm greeting by the staff, Michael Gee is the promoter, and we do the usual unloading and setting up, then to the market across the street to buy some chickens, bread, salsa and other goodies to eat. Time for the show comes, once again we are the only band playing, so we set up the bar was full of alcoholic fun, and we start rocking, first time there a lot of people did not know who we were and still gave us a chance, by the 5th song it was a rocking party all over, dancing, jumping, sweating, all that good stuff. We had once again a successful awesome show, we went to the bar, started drinking, selling merch, Michael started bringing out the shots, it was great, a good after party, so we pack up, leave to the hotel, but dang we only had enough money for 2 rooms we needed 3, so we pay, some guys in the van, half an hour latter, Damian went to open the hotel door and got everyone in, very sneaky Damian, hey you got to do what you have to do to survive, and have a good night sleep.

Wednesday April 1st Huddersfield England:

So the cool thing the next morning the drive to Huddersfield was 20 minutes away, awesome, my ass get’s sore after 3 hours of driving, we get there find a cool Music store, we actually buy an acoustic guitar, well Chief does, and the Lions gate I guess is the pace to be, a lot of stores, bars, restaurants, etc. the the complete horn section, Moy on the Guitar take on the plaza and they start playing on the street to make some extra cash, and promote the show for tonight, by this time we already have gone to The Parish, a great venue, with Mickey Shiraz on the captains seat, great dude, so the bands play for like an hour or so, and we make 9 pounds more or less, hey that is 2 meals. We go back to the venue have a great pasta dinner, salad, just lovely, but Nicky is lactose intolerant and the pasta had cheese so he gets chips and salad. So now we are set, the Kirks go on first, cool guys, with an old school AFI punk sound, the Wobbly Bob go on also the nicest guys, they actually gave us a place to stay for the night, awesome dude we partied like its 1999. Then is our time to go on, the venue from being empty get so packed in a matter of seconds,  we start rocking, then when we get to Boy’s don’t Cry that was the icing on the cake, the place was jumping, the floor shacking, man to be our first show in Huddersfield it was so fucking awesome, I couldn’t believe that many people went to see us play, the we finish our set but the wanted more, what do we do???? Well Jesse had a plan up his sleave, he goes and talks to Damian, and start with the drums, suddenly “We will, we will rock you” damn people just go so crazy and after that the change to Ozzy’s Crazy Train…. We did after to more songs and the night was over…. What come after well Mr. Shiraz got us so drunk we had to party like it was 1999 at the Wobbly Bob place…. Hi to all Los KFM Fans

Here goes a story of how was it to be on tour with Los KFM in the United Kingdom.

Well we arrive in Birmingham on March 29th after a long 14 hour flight, we reach customs, and being we are coming in to England to play shows we need a special permit, by the way that we have, we they just do a little investigation that took a little while, but customs always being so nice.

This is the first time we take foot in to England for personally a dream come true, we pick up our luggage and head out, and we meet our tour manager/Driver Alex from Berlin, we head out on our way to New Castle, because tomorrow we have our first show, but first we get there, Nicasion being he traveled alone finds us, we go to the Trillians a great venue and pub and Steve the owner amazing guy, for our luck SNFU was playing the night before us, so yeah great, we go see an awesome show, get a little drunk, and party like there is no tomorrow. After a long party night and some hot dogs on the street we go to bed to be ready for tomorrow.

Monday March 30th New Castle England our first show:

We arrive in Trillians to load in our gear, sound check, etc…. we were the only band playing tonight, so we had to put on a great show, really nervous we took the stage, our first show in the UK, it feels like I was 17 again and just dreaming that one day Los KFM would play England some day, and after so many years we are here in New Castle, people came in, 95% of them dd not ever heard us play before, we start our set with and intro from KISS, “God gave you Rock & Roll” and we rocked our hearts out, energy, sweat, it was awesome, made some new friends, new fans, and hopefully we will come back and get drunk again a Trillians in New Castle, thank you and this was our first show of our UK/Europe Tour.
